Excellent work by excellent people. First, owner Rick discussed potential designs with me and was very open to suggestions. We agreed on a design and a price and we got on the schedule. In spite of wet May, began work early June as desired and finished before wife got done with school year. Work excellent. Clean-up thorough. Will definitely use RBM again. A+

Rick and his crew did an amazing job at our home. we needed major repairs on our home.from siding to sheetrock,to porch rehab Rick and his crew were here every day until the job was completed and we were happy with the finished product. I cant say enough about this company, especially in todays world of dishonest contracters which we have had, and RBM corrected. Rick came up with the best solutions for the job and working within our budget,,,paying attention to every detail and not side stepping anything. Never doing it any old way just to get it done, which means everything. His caring and honesty says a lot about him and his company. Our house is beautiful and will be for many years to come!

Let me start off by saying that I am an individual who pays close attention to the detail....all the details! Working with The Deck Doctor was hands down the most enjoyable experience I have ever had working with a contractor. I have worked with many in the past because I use to flip houses and so my experiece with independants has been many and I can tell you that there are more bad than good ones out there. The Deck Doctor and his team however are in a class all by themselves....They are Great!! I had to replace a very large elevated deck that ran the full length of the back of my house and upon meeting Rick ( The owner and The Deck Doctor) I immediately threw him the business. He was professional and courtious from start to finish and his team was extremly hard working, timely and polite! Every day ended by his team cleaning up and putting things back in place ready for the next day...Amazing! It is obvious that Rick holds his people/workers to a very high standard and the proof is in the finished product!! My Deck came out better than I ever imagined it could have.....It looks absolutely incredible and better yet my wife likes me again so life is good! I can't stress it enough....If you need a new deck....Don't hesitate...Call The Deck Doctor!!!

We hired Rick to tear up an old deck the paint was peeling off horribly and build a new one several years ago, homeowner probably did it cheaply to look nice to sell the house. They did a great job on the deck. Started/finished when he said he would, guys cleaned up well after work was done each day. Deck is sturdy and well built. We opted for a nice stain which has to be reapplied every couple years to keep the boards from turning to a grey look which others might like but we don't. Rick has been back once before and this is our second staining. This job I told Rick of the problems were were having through no fault of what they did, ground settling so the screws ripped out of the bottom step to the lawn, and sap coming out of the top step leading into the house. He fixed the leveling and replaced the broken board. He even replaced the sappy board with new, all at no cost to us. He stands behind his work. If I had to list a complaint, it would be that he is too busy, probably needs an assistant, as it took him a week to get back to me to discuss the job so I could schedule the staining/repairs. But once we connected everything was scheduled fairly quickly. I would certainly recommend him to others looking to build a deck.

Excellent! Very responsive, very thorough, quality work,, excellent clean-up
Description of Work: Power washed 1100 sf deck to remove failed solid stain; made minor repairs to deck; added railings to deck stairs matching existing deck railings; stained deck and all railings with Duck Back elastomeric product. Moved furniture on and off deck; covered and uncovered pool with winter cover to keep stain chips out of pool.
I felt compelled to write a comment after seeing pictures of our deck on his website. This contractor was a huge nightmare for us. We contracted RBM in June for a 1-2 week job, my drop dead completion date of Labor Day weekend was missed by two months. The deck work was very poor quality and I had to point out errors(out of code, wrong dimensions, not plumb, etc) that crews missed. Workers were in professional, and poorly behaved. There were excessive wasted materials due to errors. He misrepresented his experience with cable rail and did not build to manufacturer specs, then tried to charge 25% extra above contract without basis. Stampcrete work came out OK, but it was done 3 years earlier by a subcontractor, not RBM. RBM did nothing on stampcrete work scope other than administrate, and was not on site at all during work. This contractor was so over his head on the deck work. I have over 35 years in the construction industry and I would NEVER hire this contractor again.
Description of Work: "Custom restoration using cable railing and stampcrete patio underneath". This comment is accompanied by pictures of our deck on his web site. The web site does not accurately represent the project nor the poor quality of RBM's performance.

Response from RBM Enterprises Gen. Contracting & The Deck Doctor
As it has been some time since this complaint was originally posted, I will do my best to recount the details of this project. I would like it to be know that this customer hired us over numerous years for different projects including a stamped concrete patio, installing an indoor sauna, deck cleaning/sealing and some deck repair. Typically, when a customer is not satisfied with the work that has been performed at their house they do not contract a company to perform more. I state this as evidence that although their expectations could not be met , it is in no way a reflection of our workmanship or professionalism. Furthermore, I placed pictures of their project on my website in order to detail what I believed to be a quality job given the parameters set by them and the existing structure we had to work with. I not only worked with this customer on our labor price, I also allowed them to use my discount on all materials. I state this because it seemed that saving money by using the existing framework was of the utmost importance. Negotiating me down in price seemed to be the standard procedure with this customer. The stamped concrete patio that was done sometime in 2008 and was prepped by the customer in order to save money. There was no stone used, and nothing was compacted to industry standards. The concrete was poured over dirt. He understood that we would be pouring the concrete only, and that it would be stamped and sealed by us. Any failure or cracking of the pad due to improper sub structure would not be our responsibility. The person that helped install the stampcrete, (that they refer to as "subbed") was my business partner and friend with whom I have performed numerous, successful, decorative concrete projects with. All of the work that was done at this location was done to industry standards despite what the customer may claim. The customer was verbally abusive to me and my employees, at one point screaming at me to "shut the f*** up" over the phone only to call back to apologize. Because he is in the same industry, he felt he knew more than we did. Time delays were due to many unforeseen issues including whether and changes made by the owner. We communicated with the owner on a daily basis, and even though every effort was put forth to satisfy this customer, I believe this would not have been impossible.

We used him for our siding and our kitchen, he never came to work on the siding job, he subbed it out and never showed up for one day of the work. The guys he used never put down tarps so nails are everywhere in our yard and driveway along with little pieces of siding (sharp aluminum pieces), also small pieces of wood that they cut and left in the lawn. Where they replaced a door with a window they did not use pressure treated wood and snow and water come in. They put one window down too low. They replaced a door in the kitchen and wind blows through it. They took way too long. When we spoke about the kitchen he was to remove and replace all sheetrock, he didn't, he put holes everywhere to do the electrical then never finished the ones that are behind the cabinets. He never painted behind the cabinets before putting them up. There are many imperfections in the walls you can still see that could not be fixed. All the outlets are at different hieghts. The molding around the base cabinets was painted after it was put up so you can clearly see there is no pain near the floor . We asked that it be painted in semi gloss along with the molding around the window and door, he told us it did not need to be painted in semi gloss. The base molding was also cut wrong and had to be redone by someone else, we had to buy and repaint it all. Instead of removing the old plywood floor he went over it and now there is a 5/8 inch difference in the transition. He covered our cold air return and told us we did not need one. He broke several pieces of tile because he did not use a wet saw, he was going to use the broken pieces for under the base cabinets becasue you would not see the floor once the cabinets were in. He also installed the new floor before sanding the sheetrock(sanding took over 4 weeks) and all the sheetrock dust was ground into the grout of our new floor becasue he did not seal it. He used our shop vac and ruined it. He put 4 nails through one of our new cabinets, he aslo broke a corner cabinet that we had to remove and replace. A nail split the molding around the window and he just painted over it. He put the plumbing in the wrong place for the sink that had to be moved, and also cut 2 holes in the ceiling in the wrong place for the lights. We wanted 6 lights he only put in 4. He crushed our dryer vent and never replaced it. He was in our kitchen that is 12 by 12 with 2 other guys for over 6 weeks and still was not close to being done. The list could go on and on, We aslo spoke with another customer that used him and it was all the same at his house and restaurant, things were done wrong or not at all, it took way too long because he only works 2 or 3 hours a day, he could not believe people are still hiring him for work. We would never, ever use him again. Please see attached pictures.
Description of Work: remove old siding and replace with new. Complete remodel of kitchen. The Company Response is a false statement. He is a liar. I have hundreds of pictures of the shoddy craftsmanship. There is no legal action pending, in fact he owes us over $10,000 to repair his mistakes. He is a fraud and has lied on every rebuttal he has made, pictures do not lie. His claim that we owe him money goes up every time he post something. He took over $800.00 for work he never started because we fired him. We had to have another contractor comin in and redo almost all the work (and he will testify to this). Some of the imperfections we have to live with as there is nothing we can do about them. I have hundres of picutres that will back every word that has been written and then some. We are now having to redo the floor that is now coming up, I will add that amount once is has been complete (yes we have to go buy all new flooring for a one year old floor, nice craftsmanship!!)

Due to ongoing legal actions to collect $7000 that is still owed to my company by this customer I do not wish to rehash the details of this project. However, I will add that every complaint that this customer has Is untrue and misleading. The customer has posted pictures of a project in its early stages, and has no pictures of the completed project. It was at this point they decided to keep my final payment for labor and materials that was promised. All practices met or exceeded industry standards. All attempts where made unsuccessfully to satisfy this customer.
