Patruno Electric

We recently purchased an old home which had a very old electrical system, consisting of knob & tube/cloth covered wiring, and old undersized Federal Republic breaker panel and no GFCI outlets in the kitchen and bathrooms. We had Patruno install a new 200 amp breaker panel, move the meter outside, install a 60 amp sub-panel in the attic, replace the knob&tube wiring in the attic, install GFCI outlets and outdoor security lights. They were very easy to work with, schedule and the electricians on-site were very quick and knowledgeable.

This company is wonderful. They came out a year ago and went through the whole house with us. We divided the work up into 3 different stages, and they did stage 1 right away, changing out multiple light switches to dimmable LED switches, replacing a couple of fixtures, and doing work on the electrical box in the basement. Last week, Ben came back to do part 2. He replaced 4 light fixtures in all, but 2 required the removal of old track lighting, and it required extensive work on the ceiling, cutting new holes, moving the electrical box, etc. We had agreed that we would repair the ceiling ourselves, but Ben cut drywall pieces for us to make the repair easier. It took 4-5 hours, and the bill was 350.00. From working with other electricians in the past, I know this is a good price. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing to do electrical work on an older home!

I called Patruno Electric on Friday, February 19th and asked if they could send someone to my home to estimate the cost of installing some electrical sockets and a wired home internet network. They responded that someone could come out the following Monday. True to their word, on Monday, February 22nd, a Patruno rep came to my house, at exactly the scheduled time, and took down all of the necessary data. Two days later, a written estimate for $1987.20 arrived in the mail. I approved the estimate and asked when they could start work. Patruno responded that they would start at 7:30 am on Monday, February 29th. True to their word again, the crew arrived at exactly 7:30 am and went right to work (even in the rain and cold weather outside). The total project took two full days (7:30am-5:00pm) to complete. When the installation was completed, everything worked perfectly and the cost came in under the estimate. I've had work done by Patruno a couple of times and I simply can't express how good they are. If there's a picture in the dictionary next to "perfect contractor" I'm sure it's a picture of the Patruno Electric logo. I wish all contractors were as professional and organized as these guys. I wholeheartedly recommend Patruno to anyone needing electrical work done in their home or office.

No current wiring was in place. Was a little tricky due to where one of the switches was requested to be located. The job was done professionaly and priced reasonably in my opinion. Would use them again. Ben was the electrician who completed the work.

They did a excellent job. They handled the city permits. They were on budget, on time, the inconvenience was minimal and the work was excellent.

Earlier this year, we bought a new chandelier and hired a handyman to install it. They attached it to our ceiling and everything seemed fine, but last week, it broke off and crashed on our dining room table! We learned our lesson, and this time, called an electrician to reinstall the light fixture and install a dimmer switch Called Patruno Electric in the morning, and by the early that afternoon, they sent two men to do the job. They finished it all in ~30 minutes and repaired the damage caused by the handy man. They were courteous and efficient. The gentlemen on the phone who arranged the job was also friendly. I would definitely use them in the future.

We lost power on one circuit line in our home. After checking the circuit breaker and outlets, we were stumped. Patruno fit us into their schedule and came out to very quickly. I was nervous to call an electrician when we were not sure what was wrong and what we were getting into. The technician, Chad, was proficient, polite and professional. He worked quickly and found a very tricky, hard to find problem and fixed it without any problem. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and we will be using them again!

It went well. Excellent initial response, estimate process and completion of the work. Worker was respectful of our home and the effort we go through to keep it clean. Professional response and stance through the project was much appreciated.

Electricians arrived on time and jumped immediately to task at hand. They did a great job, I was very impressed with their work. I had one small problem a week after installation, a bulb became 'unseated' on one of the fluorescent fixtures (probably from vibrations of cabinet or drywall work). They came over the next morning and resolved the issue. The new lighting and the repositioning of the switches makes a huge difference, GREAT JOB!

All Patruno staff were very courteous and informative. The gentleman who provided the estimate surveyed the job and crafted a way to do the wiring that would not require any wall repair. I had to wait about 2 weeks for my installation appointment. The electrician who performed the job was on time, friendly and neat.. He made sure that every aspect was as I wished. I recommend them highly!

Did not do the work we did not agree

Arrived on short notice(wanted job completed before holidays ended). Neat, courteous and extremely professional. Jay (the scheduled electrician) was efficient and friendly. I thought cost was very reasonable - repaired several outlets that I neglected to include on original estimate @ no additional charge

The communication was very good and the work was performed successfully and on time. Work area was clean upon completion. Very nice business to work with.

Everything was explained to me in language I could understand. The contract they sent to me was very detailed . They suggested that I request copies of insurance coverage from whoever I hired. They were very punctual and professional. They said my power would be off for 6 hours and they kept their promise. I highly recommend them. I would call them again in a minute.

Took a while to get scheduled and had to reschedule for an additional week due to technician calling in. Everyone was friendly and down to earth. Only problem, outlet that was grounded in living room did not work but they came out the same day to fix it. Would use again, price was reasonable.

They were prompt and efficient, they were great.

I used this company a couple of years ago to do some minor electrical repairs, including repairing an outdoor outlet and deactivating an outdoor lamp post, which had been damaged by a fallen tree. The electrician was very friendly and courteous. Last week when I needed some more work done, I called the company again both because I had had a decent experience the first time and because some of the new work actually involved some of the old work. The outdoor outlet had ceased to work (not long after the repair) and I was ready to refit the lamp post with a new lantern and reactivate it. When I called last Tuesday, I was told that someone would get back to me later in the day. Nobody did that day, the next day, or the day after that. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt and called again on Friday. I explained that I had called on Tuesday and that no-one had returned my call. The receptionist was a little surprised and tried to speak with one of the partners, who, however, had and quot;just stepped out.and quot; It became clear to me that for some unknown reason I was getting the run-around. I left my number again and now, three more days later, no-one has called back. If they did call at this point, I wouldn't hire them.

Excellent. They coordinated their work with Cannon and the new spa was installed and functional within one day. I have used Patruno Electric many times and have always been satisfied. Their prices are reasonable and their work excellent.

The gentleman showed up on time and called ahead as promised. The problem with the short was resolved in about an hour and was located in a spot I never would have expected. The two additional circuits were installed. All together, less than three hours and less than $300 including materials. These folks receive high marks for a reason, they earn them.

I have a very old house and the in-the-wall range needed replacing so we decided to get a new free standing range with a glass cooktop. The old range was and quot;hot wiredand quot;, i.e. it wasn't simply plugged in but wired directly to the electrical panel. I called Patruno's at about 2:00 in the afternoon on Monday and they said they thought they could get it done the next morning but would call to let me know for sure. They called promptly the next morning and told me the serviceman would be there by around 11:00 am and sure enough, he was here at 11:00 and went right to work. He disconnected the old stuff, including some of the older wiring we weren't going to use. He also found some mystery wires which, after determining they were not in use, he made sure they were disconnected. He needed a part so he had to go back to the shop but he returned within a reasonable time. He drilled a hole through the subfloor and a baseboard to put the new range outlet where I wanted it to go and then he installed the power wire for the new range and tested everything before he left. Everything is working just fine and the whole thing was only $145 for what was about 1.5 to 2.0 hours of work. He cleaned up the sawdust and what not and was both friendly and professional throughout the job.

It was only a few days before Christmas and despite their busy schedule they agreed to squeeze in an appointment w/me. I had an outlet in my livingroom that sparked every time anything was plugged in and my dimmer switch in the kitchen was getting a little too warm creating concern on my part. When I called Dave was very personable, listened as I explained the whole situation, understood my concern and told me their fee up front. They called and kept me updated on when I could expect them. Chad, the technician explained the problem and made the necessary repairs. He was wonderful to work with, very professional. A few days later I got the bill in the mail w/absolutely no surprises....exactly what Dave quoted me. Overall GREAT experience w/Patruno Electric. I would recommend them w/out hesitation and plan on using them again in the future.

They are really good guys and came when they said they would come and charged what they said they would charge. The quality of work is definitely an A grade.

It went very well. It was some trouble to schedule with them as they were very busy, but Beno came out less than a week after I called initially and basically fixed every electrical problem we'd had bothering us for years. It was many small things he had to do. Both David and Beno had such a great sense of humour about everything, that the scheduling snafu did not even matter... it was the week before the Memorial Day holiday. Highly recommended.

He did a wonderful job. He was able to complete all of the projects and everything has been working fine since. It took a whole day but he was able to get everything done. I had purchased a wrong fan but they came back out two days later and put a new one up without any additional cost. They cleaned everything up.
