Very unsatisfactory. Furniture not protected, nor was it communicated that it wouldn't be. Different tiles used on om floor. Breakfast bar not placed where requested. We both work, a neighbor checked in for us, wasn't aware of items not completed as requested.
Description of Work: Bathroom update. New tile floor installed, shower unit installed. Drain had to be moved, works very slowly. Two different tiles used on floor...same pattern; one gloss, one not. Floor not sealed. Grout on floor is chipping, we have no information as to what color to use to patch. Dust all over the place. No clean up work done, no coverage of furniture etc. It took us months to get the house dust free. Ceiling repair not completed. Multiple phone calls made, no response. Installed breakfast bar in kitchen. The bar was not placed where we'd requested about 6 inches. Once again, nothing was covered, so we had dust everywhere.

This work was to be completed by February 22, three days before we moved in to this 1940's home. The work wasn't completed for 8 months. For the first 6 weeks, we had no water in the kitchen, no cabinets, counters. The kitchen was left dirty each time the crew left; tools on our makeshift table, empty soda cans, food containers, dirt everywhere. Often, the crew went into my husband's workshop to use his tools. Once they sawed wood on our beautiful sun porch, the bag exploded, leaving sawdust and powder everywhere, with no apology, no clean-up either. We had asked for an outlet in a specific place, put it in writing and it was installed two feet away. The Nicoletti's rarely returned our phone calls. We would call because time after time, they would not show up to work at all, for days. My husband had a few talks about communication, but it never improved. There was always a story. Also, they were using a cabinet company that was new to them and they obviously didn't take the time to learn the proper channels for ordering supplies. Our pantry cabinet came in the wrong size or damaged three different times. I actually saw these cabinets. Several cabinet doors were marred and had to be replaced. The first time that the pantry cabinet came in, it was 3 inches too small, Dino never told us. He must have hoped we wouldn't notice. When our food wouldn't fit in, I measured the pantry and found it to be 3 inches smaller than what we had purchased. I guess he wasn't going to tell us! The cabinet company was good about it, but they only deliver every few weeks, so, more delays. The Nicolettis kept taking on more jobs, and seemingly forgot about us, even though we called to remind them about the days they were scheduled to come. Rarely did they show up to, or would work for only 2-3 hours. If Dino was having trouble with part of the project, he would leave, instead of working on another part of the job. The kitchen came out nice. As far as Dino is concerned, that's all that matters! He said after thinking about it, bottom line is that we have a nice kitchen, that he likes the way it looks. This project caused so much anxiety and frustration. The kitchen is the center of this home. To avoid everything getting all sawdusty, we didn't unpack all the boxes stacked in the dining room. It was like living in a warehouse for months. Carrying dishes upstairs to wash in the bathtub was no fun for 6 weeks. This whole experience really ruined the fun of moving into a new (to us) house. It's now September and this kitchen was just finished two weeks ago, after moving in in February. I hope this spares someone else from getting into this miserable situation.
Description of Work: The entire kitchen was to be gutted. Except for the dishwasher and disposal, all cabinets and counters were removed, and we had purchased a new refrigerator and gas stove to be installed. There was to be a new sink, a wall removed from between the kitchen and dining room, the chandelier removed and the outlet covered, hardwoods installed in the kitchen to match the floors in the dining room, three new electrical outlets, three ceiling light fixtures removed form the kitchen and replaced with 6 can lights and two pendant lights. A table was to be made with the same top as the countertops. A shelf for the phone was to be made out of the same solid surface and installed in a corner.
