I'm writing this review 3 years after the bathroom was installed simply because of all the problems we have experienced since then. First off, when the service was happening, they were incredibly unresponsive. Crews that were scheduled to come do work just didn't show up on several occasions. They paid more (read charged us more) for the quick setting grout, but didn't have the tools necessary, so they couldn't even finish the floors more quickly as they had promised to get the job back on schedule. We asked them to put the fan on a separate switch from the lights, but that didn't happen. Basically a three day project turned into a two week issue. It got so bad that at one point we almost cut them a check for the work done and walked away. Since then, we've just noticed a string of issues. First off, I had to recaulk the tub because they did such a poor job that it had deteriorated in a few months. Secondly, the transition piece in the doorway they installed is crooked. I can screw something into the ground crooked. They didn't even bother to put trim along the floor in the small linen closet. The area around the tub started cracking instantly because of an obvious lack of time spent on the shower installation. Now, we just had another wonderful company come in to fix a slow leak that had developed from the bathtub faucet. Turns out that during the shower installation they couldn't be bothered to install the screws properly. The on/off handle was literally secured by a single screw. The kicker is that they caulked a screw head into one of the slots to make it look like it was attached. This is a purposefully deceptive move designed to cover incompetence. I would never have them back in my house to even consider fixing it. Its a team of dishonest salesmen backed up by incompetent workers who literally don't care one bit about the quality of the work they put in.

Terrible experience, no boots installed around vent pipes, could see outside, rain poured in. drip edge bent used many small pieces, looked terrible. large gaps between sheets of plywood. no ridge vent installed although was included in price. obnoxious personell. Could tell they deal with dissatisfied customers frequently

I'd have to say, by and large, not satisfied. The insulation process took place no complaints. After that they started with the windows and siding, we ended up having the wrong windows delivered to our house and four windows had no place at our house. We were also shorted a window and they found out after they had already taken a window out. They tried to install the wrong window and it didn't work as there was a large gap on all sides of the window. As they started the siding, no one said anything before I noticed that something was wrong. The siding was one inch crooked and if I hadn't spotted it it would have went on the way it was. I do have to give them credit, after i pointed out a problem, they did go ahead and correct things.

I called and was told they would send somebody by to check on it; just two days later, the gentlemen came, assessed and corrected the problem, reattached the cable connection...no charge. They were very pleasant and professional, and took care of the problem promptly and efficiently...also noticed and fixed another small problem without my asking.

I appreciated so much that they were looking for imperfections, and they fixed all those imperfections. I felt well taken care of. It was so nice that they were looking out for me. I just adored 4 of the workers.

Where to begin? First the saleman, project manager and subcontractor do NOT communicate with each other, leading to many misunderstandings about what was promised, what to leave alone, etc. The subcontractors did a rushed, lousy job, the siding just looks sloppy and the flashing around the chimney was not done correctly. They riped screens and dented the window wrapping while taking down the aluminum siding. They were not going to vent the roof at all! In upsate NY! When asked to come out and fix broken siding just a year later I got a bunch of attitude. I complained to BBB and they came out once, but still did not fix all problems. BBB works more for their members than consumers.

Two windows had blown seals a couple of years later and the company ordered replacements and installed them quickly under warranty. The problem I had with NY Homeowners was the roofing job. I did not know much about roofing at the time and let them do the job the way they thought was best. I now know what they did was VERY wrong. I already had two layers of asphalt shingles on my roof and I had leaks. Not only did they not repair the leaks before roofing the house but they assured me that three layers of shingles was fine (even up here in Oswego County with all the snow). Needless to say the roof started leaking again and I was told that after two years too much time had passed and the only warranty I had was on the shingles and not the work that was done. So I started looking into things and found that in my area they NEVER should have installed a third layer of roofing and should have repaired all leaks PRIOR to re-roofing the house anyway. FYI They told me up front that they don't use subs but ALL of the guys actually doing work on the house were sub contractors.

Overall it didn't go.
