After much haggling with different factions of lumber liquidators corporate I was basically told that they would not remove the installed flooring to replace the defective plank, they stated that they wanted to instead cut out the defective plank and glue a new one in. I then asked their conflict resolution team if they would guarantee the repair for the life of the floor, they said no. I told them no deal that I wanted the floor removed up to the defective plank and reinstalled, no deal. It was then that the installer called and asked if I had any luck dealing with corporate I said no. The installer then stated that he could make the repair by cutting out the defective piece and gluing a new one in, I politely told him no deal and that I would if necessary seek a remedy through small claims court. I received a letter in the mail from corporate that stated they would pay me a hundred dollars toward the repair of the floor but the stipulation was that I would not be able to tell anyone that lumber liquidators would not stand behind their product, not only that but they tried to blame me for not spotting the defect and said the problem was partially my fault, in other words they tried to buy my silence. Later in the week after my conversation with corporate consumer services the installer called again and asked if I had any luck in getting the repair I wanted I told him no and that I will take my problem to the courts, it was then that he told me that he would send a crew over to make the situation right. The following week a crew came over and made everything right it probably took them less than two hours. The contractor who did the work was PD hardwoods this contractor is a recommended installer for lumber liquidators and if you use him they give you a one year warranty on the floor and install. PD hardwoods did a good job of installing the floor and as far as I know made the necessary repairs with out getting paid. My advice in dealing with lumber liquidators as a whole is DON'T from my view point they were unwilling to stand behind their product and I probably spent over a good month trying to deal with their consumer services division, who in my opinion just wanted and hoped that I would go away. MY final piece of advice is do not deal with these people go to Lowes or Home Depot they stand behind their products and installs.
