It was a wonderful experience. Pam is extremely professional, diligent and thorough. She works extremely hard. My husband and I worked side by side with her in three 3 hour appointments. I never would have believed that we could have accomplished all we did. I had things from after my mother and father had passed, my children had left (including the things that they had told me to save but no longer wanted) that filled our garage and basement. It's a wonderful feeling how much you've cleaned up and out of your home after Pam helps you. So I paid for 9 hours over 3 separate trips and paid $339 in total but I gained a garage and basement. Wish I had taken pictures to show the transformation.
Description of Work: Cleaning and organizing garage then hired her to help with the same in our basement.

Description of Work: Pam helped me sort out a big closet containing an assortment of of different items. She had so many good ideas and did things I had never thought of. Now everything is labeled and "like things" are together. Pam is very talented, personable and hard working. This is the second time she has helped me and I love the results!!

I related some of the interesting projects you worked on and experimented with to my friends and we all get a kick out of the computer on the eyeglass frame and how it didn't quite cut it with you. Rachel Maddow did a mini review on watch band computers which may be just around the corner. It was fun working with you. Sorry we didn't get to implementing some kind of organizing system for you. Guess I'm not sure what that would have entailed.

It went well. Everything was sorted, recycled, saved, or donated, depending on what it was. I now have clean counters and kitchen table!! Pam is very thorough and professional, as well as respectful of my wishes. I was very comfortable with her. I plan to have her return to tackle another trouble spot in my house. She is well worth her rate of $40/hr.

Description of Work: Pam Reagan (lighten Up! Organizing) showed up on time and worked for three hours non-stop, even getting out the vacuum cleaner and vacuuming up the dust we stirred up. She helped me organize my papers, and many other things as well but piles of papers are the worst for me. She is completely non-judgmental. Before leaving, and during our three busy hours together, Pam gave me tips on how to deal with mail, bills, photos, greeting cards, etc. We talked about organizing other adjacent areas. All in all, this was an extremely positive experience, and I will hire Lighten Up! Organizing again. Thank you Pam!

I hired Pam to help my mother, husband and me clean out my mother 's garage. None of us had ever worked with an organizer before, and I think my mom was actually dreading the project, and I KNOW my husband was, but Pam was wonderful and made the project almost painless. Well, at least as painless as any large decluttering project can ever be. :) Pam arrived exactly on time and immediately set to work. As another reviewer noted, she is very hardworking and didn't even take a break. We went through all the cupboards, shelves and boxes, Pam systematically taking everything out for us to decide what stayed and what went. My mother particularly appreciated that Pam was very helpful and supportive, but did not in the least bit exert any pressure or judgment about what should she tossed. If we were stuck, she was able to provide helpful, calm, and insightful advice so that we could decide one way or the other. Once everything was cleared from a section and we know what was staying, Pam put those items back in an orderly and logical fashion, with best accessibility for the most-often used items. She also pitched in with wiping down shelves, sweeping, labeling, and boxing up items. She was well prepared and came with tape, index label cards, markers, scissors, etc. We had figured on 3 hours, but Pam stayed an extra 45" so that we could finish of the project. My mother is quite pleased with the results, and now has much more room to store the items she actually uses.

Pam is professional, personable, honest and the hardest working person I've ever encountered! It's hard to get her to take a short break! She's analytical, focused and NON-JUDGMENTAL in assessing your needs as she sees it; however, she is also a good listener, very low key and won't press her values on you. These are essential qualities for someone doing what she does. She takes pleasure and satisfaction in a job well-done. She wants you, the client, to find freedom and relaxation in cleaning up your clutter. I could say a lot more, but, suffice to say: don't wait any longer...hire Pam and enjoy life much more by getting rid of stuff you don't need but haven't gotten rid of!
Description of Work: Pam comes to your home and lets you take the lead. Once you've outlined what you want, she then makes suggestions: she went room by room with me. In each room, she categorizes stuff, puts categorized items in boxes/containers, separates what's TO GO and what's TO STAY and what might be donated. None of it is rocket science, no, but she does what YOU DO NOT DO! She wants you to work alongside her, so that she can move more quickly, getting information from you as to what items are important to you, what you're undecided about, what you want to dump immediately! You feel empowered, you feel "I can DO this!" It can even be fun! It was not embarrassing...it was energizing and I congratulated myself on making the best call I've made in a long time. JUST DO IT!
