a one day job took over 2 weeks and was still not completed to my satisfaction. The new hardwood boards were placed perpendicular to the existing flooring and there were unacceptable gaps between the boards. He wanted to paint over wallpaper and when I told him I did not want that he said homeowners do it all the time. While this is likely true a professional contractor should not do that. There is a step up between the hardwood and the tile and we made it clear to him that an appropriate threshold needed to be placed to be able to wheel the wheelchair in. he said not to worry he had 45 years of experience in handicap revisions. he placed a cheap piece of brass colored aluminum exterior flashing as a threshold which looks terrible. he promised to make it right but did not show for 2 subsequent appointments and I fired him. At least 3 other times he did not show as promised. I Talked to him practically daily that I did not like what he was doing and he kept telling me he had 45 years of experience and he knew what I wanted. He did not really care what I wanted done and had a preconceived notion of what he wanted to do and thats what he intended to do irregardless of my wishes. He is not concerned about the quality of his work.
Description of Work: widen the door to the master bath to make it wheelchair accessible. remove old threshold and match existing hardwood floor, framing of door with a small amount of drywall and trim

Filip and his work crew applied insulation over the existing cedar shakes and then covered the house with vinyl siding. To relax the totally linear appearance in the front, he broke up the pattern in the center with vinyl "cedar shakes." Very pleasing and perhaps unusual, but definitely eye-catching and appealing! The deck in the back is an unbelievably beautiful transformation! From a small wooden "square," he enlarged the deck to the end of the house and used Trex in an attractive floor design. In addition, he built sturdy steps from the deck to the ground and then, a bit further down, another set of steps to the lower backyard area. He used Trex on those, too. Further, he enclosed the entire bottom of the deck area, below the floor, with Trex, eliminating the former view of old dirt and rocks and whatever else was under there. The railing posts are of wood covered with white vinyl and the railing itself is of the same white material. He built a beautiful privacy wall at the far end of the deck and used the same vinyl shakes on the house to cover the privacy wall...on both sides. Beautiful! Unique! He also installed a new white, insulated garage door, which complements the white window and door frames. Below the first set of steps in the back, he used brick pavers to construct a patio, very solid and attractive, as well as practical, since the area there gets a lot of traffic in and out and bare earth would be unpleasant and dirty. Filip is a master builder and has an artistic bent for what would most please the eye.I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone needing any construction, remodeling, siding, etc. He has never disappointed!
Description of Work: siding of entire house expansion of back deck brick patio work two new sets of steps in back
Description of Work: Filip and his crew totally renovated my kitchen, removing existing cabinets and installing new ones, hanging the old ones in the basement. They tiled the kitchen floor expertly, built in a beautiful basement full bathroom, and a huge storage closet. They did fine plumbing work wherever necessary. They also installed new windows throughout which I love, so easy to clean. The following year, I hired them to build a brick walkway to my front door; I could not have been more pleased. And later that same year, they built an attractive brick patio off my back deck. I will call Filip again when I decide to have the house sided. His is an excellent, dependable, friendly crew and I have every confidence in them.

Many of my antiques were ruined- Stated he had a plumber- The gentleman wasn't a plumber by trade, just one of his workers!! I have had a continuous mildew problem around the tub area. Electrical was not done correctly and the switch activates all lighting in bathroom as opposed to separate lights.(sconces vs. overhead lights). The plumbing used to install sinks are unsightly and the sinks were very expensive!!
Description of Work: Total remodel of master bathroom.
