Description of Work: They installed installed a ductless air conditioner. The man who installed it cut through one of the studs in my wall which I was not happy about. They also came out to clean and do the maintenance of my HVAC system. The technician did not do any work outside and charged me $80 which I felt was very high. I also contacted them for a cover for my outdoor HVAC unit and spoke to a nice salesman who said they wait to order them until they have a few orders. I called them back a few months later to find out the original salesman I spoke to was no longer with the company and the gentleman I spoke to about it tripled the original price I was quoted. I was not happy with their service and I do not trust them.

Description of Work: Very good. Serviceman was professional. My heating system was not circulating to the upstairs radiators. The serviceman diagnosed and explained the problem and was back the following day with the parts to do the repair. Very thorough. couldn't have been happier.

Description of Work: I had some issue with HVAC, with smell coming from hvac, the issue was condensation, asked for their help and they sent a person who spent just extra time wasting and charged us for 3 hours. All work that was done was using a spray (15$) on the ac and this did not eliminate the smell. None the less I received a bill for over 250$ for nothing that was fixed. Very disappointed.

Description of Work: The work was done on time and the workmanship was excellent. I notice that some reviews rate them a "B" on price however I did a fair amount of shopping and while they are not the lowest cost around I believe that they provide the most real value for the dollar, as always you get what you pay for and the lowest bidder is rarely the best value!

Description of Work: Due to the high reviews on this site I chose Cooney to install a high efficiency boiler. All staff were very nice and seemed knowledgeable, however it took 3 service calls after installation to get the system working accurately. Several months after installation, when I was out of town, the boiler began leaking, causing a flooded basement. They responded to my call, tightened a gasket and said that was normal!

+ -1 moreMy husband and I were extremely happy with this company that I had to write something about them. Ron, System Specialist, came out and met with me to give us a quote. He measured the house to have accurate measurements on what size unit we would need, looked at our furnace, gave me an idea of where he would like to put the unit, and what A/C units he recommended for us. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable in what he does. He explained in detail the different units he recommended and actually encouraged me to do my own research online on the units he recommended. He got back to me within a couple of days with an estimate. Cooney is not the cheapest in town, but also not the most expensive which they will tell you themselves, but the quality of work speaks for itself. If you want a job to be excellent, then you have to pay for it. You can't have excellent work and pay nothing for it. Anyway, what set this company apart was that they use hard-pipe lines versus the cheap plastic stuff that can leak, uses a concrete slab instead of a plastic one, provides a nice winter cover for the unit, and takes their time on making the job correct. They don't even want a deposit down for the job. They want their customers to be 100% satisfied before even paying a penny so they invoice their customers after the job is complete and you've had a chance to test it out for a few days. After they were done installing the unit, they walked my husband and me through how it works and the work that they did. They even gave details on how to clean the unit and letting us know that when our winter cover comes in, that it'll be shorter so that the unit can breathe during the winter months so that we don't panic and call them saying that the cover they gave us was too short :). Excellent detail, if you ask me!!!
