The team at Angelo Chiodo are the best of the best! Needed to replace a furnace that was 33 years old, but also required an upgrade to an air conditioner that suited my square footage. They came out promptly and recommended units that were made by Carrier, which put my mind at ease, as I got estimates from a few companies with brand names I have never heard of before. They scheduled my install, showed up on time and got the job done the same day, a rare occasion in this day and age! I STRONGLY recommend you call them before you decide to go with anyone else. Horrendous . I would never recommend this company as they don't appear to know what they're doing when it comes to air-conditioning.

We have been using for Chiodo Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. for about a year for multiple/miscellaneous small jobs. They have been our go-to people with any heating and central a/c concerns. Their pricing is average and not the most competitive, but they have been friendly, professional, and have gotten the job right the first time. Every time they've come to our home, they were also very willing to patiently answer any questions or concerns that we had. I would call them back for future work if needed.

A representative came out immediately to inspect a problem with my furnace. He diagnosed the problem and gave me the option to fix or replace. My furnace was old, and the offered price seemed fair, so I opted for replacement. They completed the job quickly (important in Syracuse in March), and charged a fair rate. I had two small problems with the quality of the work, however. Two parts of a duct were loose, and they told my tenant it should be taped to secure it (couldn't they have done this as part of the replacement?). Also, the thermostat they installed seems to be a very cheap model. It's hard to use, and the panel that covers the buttons has already broken (less than two months after the installation).

The air conditioner install took 1 day and the two guys were very professional and kind. The next day if had the vents cleaned and the service level was just as great again. Art even came by to check on the job.

Chido does not exaggerate . They show up with a Truck sized Shop Vac. Super powerful. My home is not typical. our heating is supplied through the slab, and the returns go through the attic with flex duct. The tech had been on the job only a month. He was polite, and a hard worker. Intially, he set up the suction the wrong way, and didn't take out my filter. I thought something was weird. But then his supervisor showed up and made the correction, so we started again. I then took things into my own hands and tore apart part of my closet to get to another duct supply that goes in the slab.... Long story short, I worked with the tech for half the day getting my ducts clean. They were filthy. I'm lucky i was home that day.. Always be home when they come. Again, my house HVAC is confusing and not easy to figure out, especially for a guy only 30 day on the job. If you have regular home, with furnace in the basement, ect... no issues It was expensive,but they were their from 9-4.... and my ducts are spotless. What a difference in airflow. I would use them for this service.

Service was fast & efficient. 1 Master Tech, 1 Tech, & 1 Apprentice. There was a problem with the "board" inside the A/C unit. After diagnostics, they were able to locate and take care of the problem. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and will utilize their services in the future, if needed. 10 year parts, including the "board" & compressor, 1 year labor. Excellent company, professional service.

Estimator came within 8 hrs of initial call. Work was scheduled for same week. Installers were prompt and organized and very friendly. AND NEAT!!! There were a couple small details that needed finishing and they were completed within the week.

After he replaced it, the tube became unconnected. All of the water dripped onto my floor. On November 11th, I went downstairs. I went to the bottom of the steps and the minute I stepped onto the carpet it was soaked. I went to the furnace and saw that the tube was disconnected and all the carpets were soaked around it. The smell was so bad that we were choking. I called Chiodo and they would not take my phone calls. I had to find another person to pull up the carpet. I have been trying to reach Chiodo, he answered once and promised he would fix the problem. They sent the supervisor out to look at it, who fixed the tube after about of week of trying. He now refuses to help me pay for the damages they caused after I got other estimates and gave them to him.

Originally gave estimate and installed Carrier furnace and moved duct work to attic and moved vent in den area. Paid extra for their premium brand Carrier because of the longer warranty. Installed OK except after cutting a hole in the wall for new the new vent in den they suddenly discovered it wouldn't fit and had to move it to another location. Problem is they just left the 5" hole unpatched. Had to complain to the manager(owner) about hole. Gave me $100 to fix and paint it. But would have preferred that they had just fixed it. Second a few years later we had to have the furnace repaired under warranty. They were given the symptoms. They replaced the ignitor but charged for labor that included time to come to the house, time to go get the part and time to install. Time was excessive first because ignitors are a common small spark plug sized repair part that they should have had in their truck. Second because Carrier is their standard brand and the problem was given that should have had common repair parts on hand when they left their office. Third they took much too long to get the part when supply house are within a few miles. Third the clincher was that the furnace broke again with the same problem the next week. This time I watched. closer. They replaced the ignitor again but I suspect that the first repair may have been done with a used ignitor because the new part is still in use.

Our furnace was old and needed to be replaced. Chiodo was one of four bids we received. They had the best quote and seemed to really want the work.

gave us a competitve estimate and were professional and punctual with quote. Work warranty on parts & labor better than other bids received. it took an little longer to schedule due to 4th of July holiday, but completed the work in one day. Came back to follow up the next day and have come out at no charge to adjust issues with heating/ cooling system when the cold weather set in. Very satisfied with the job done.

They were prompt and friendly.

They were good. They did a nice job on my air conditioning unit. They were very friendly and professional. I would use them again in the future.

I am still fighting him in court.

I had Angelo Chiodo Heating and A/c company install furnaces and A/c unites in four of my rental unites in 2009 at a cost of over $20,000. When they got to the fourth house, they installed a used A/c unite but charged me for a new one. One of his workers informed me that the A/c unite was repoed from someone else in 2008, I had payed for a new one and expected a new one.I had nothing but problems with Angelo Chiodo when I ask him for a new A/c unite, which I had already paid for and what the contract said I should receive. They also vented one of the furnaces illegally which caused fumes to come into the house and they refused to take care of the problem, so I had to call someone else to take care of the problem for me.What a joke, I am in the process of taking him to small clames court. BUYER BEWARE YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU USE HIM

I called Angelo Chiodo regarding a leak from an overflow tube attached to my central air conditioner, which they had installed. My basement floor was wet. The service guy arrived on time. Good start. I like to watch what service people actually do on my home, as I'm a single female and am curious about repairs to my home since I don't have a live-in handyman. This made the repair guy uncomfortable; he was taking his time and stalling. After tinkering around, he said he had to get something from his truck. Then he said he didn't have the part and had to go out and buy it. After an hour and 10 minutes, he returned with a McDonald's drink in hand, and said that the auto parts store from which he had to get the part, had moved and he had to travel farther for the part. I watched as he replaced a small gasket, about a 2 inch diameter. The actual work took 3 minutes, at most. He then wrote out a bill for $120! I protested, saying that the work took 3 minutes, and the "part" was a cardboard gasket. He said he was charging me for all the time he spent on the job (which included driving around getting lunch and pretending to go out to get a dollar gasket, which I'm sure he had in his truck) ! I told him that I refused to pay a bill that he obviously thought I was too stupid, as a female, to recognize as way overpriced. He called his boss, Mr. Chiodo, who yelled at me on the phone,and said he was going to call the police. I told him that I'd welcome a visit from the police so I could explain how this service man was trying to rip me off! He then calmed down and asked me in a matter of fact manner, what I'd be willing to pay. I told him I'd pay $65, for the service call and the work. Upon reflection, even that was way too much, but I guess I was somewhat intimidated by this big, creepy guy and I just wanted him to leave.

A salesman came to the house to do an inspection and to provide an estimate. At the same time I had a chimney sweep in who was giving me an evaluation of the my venting (as opposed to fire place chimney) which was in very bad shape and would need to be replaced. The Chiodo salesman gave me several options for both the furnace and the water heater, some of which would allow me to forego the major part of the chimney repair by using higher efficiency water heater and furnace which required venting via PVC piping rather than through the chimney. Even the chimney repairman agreed this was the better and the less expensive option (I would save on repair costs and, ultimately, on energy costs). I eventually settled on a 94% efficiency furnace and a high efficiency water heater (rather than the more expensive on-demand water heater I had originally been considering). The installation was on the day scheduled and went flawlessly. The workers were neat and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with the outcome and with all my interactions with the company.

Everything has been perfect!

Salesman came to house. Very thorough process. Delivered estimate quickly. Discussed in detail. Signed contract and scheduled work. Crew showed up on time and worked neatly. Finished job on schedule and explained operation of equipment.
