When we went in he worked with somebody and gave them all our measurements. That part was fine and they recommended some beautiful tiles. But when we received the tiles some of the measurements were incorrect. We had about 4 extra boxes of not inexpensive tiles and then we didn’t have some other tile we needed like edging tile and decorative tile. They were just not nice at all as far as returning. They said that it was a final sale and it was a measurement error. They didn’t not take any of the tile back and they really slammed it to us on ordering the extra tiles we needed. I tried to call and speak to somebody but I felt the customer service was terrible. We did need some more grout and there was difference of few dollars between 8 pound and 25 pound bag. When I tried to enquire about it they just blew me off. We had a contractors discount and I noticed that on one thing we were charged we didn’t get the contractors discount on it. So when I called to enquire about that this particular sales person called me back and told me that, they should have charged me more on something else but they didn’t. It would have made up for the discount we didn’t have on one particular item so they would only give us $1.46 back. We would have to drive across town to Firestone drive to get that back so we just let it go for the price of gas. The problem was the measurements were in linear foot and it was converted to sq. footage. We did get a very nice quality of tile. They didn’t really come here and service us. They did return my phone call.

This purchase was a Special Order, which was relayed to the Customer on August 11th, 2012, the day the order was placed. Best Tile's Terms and Conditions statement printed on the back of the estimate and sale receipt states under #8; "The Seller (Best Tile) will not accept a return of merchandise that is Special Order, Non Stock, or has been cut or altered from its original state." On the front page of the estimate and sale receipt that the Customer received, each tile ordered explains under the description, "Final Sale, No Returns" and "Special Order, No Returns". Additionally, Best Tile is not liable for Customer measurements. The order is processed based on the information the Customer provides to the Design Consultant. Best Tile does provide discounts to Contractors, however, Contractors do not receive a discount on every item. Best Tile does not provide Customers with on-site service. The Design Consultants at Best Tile followed through with this Customer in a timely and professional manner. We ask that the Customer please review their estimate and sales receipt which reiterates this response more extensively and reconsider the review grade. Sincerely, Management at Best Tile, Inc.

Our order was taken, reciepts given and within one week the tiles were in. My contractor installed the tile on the wall when finished we had three boxes of tile left over. We called and asked for a refund only on the unopened boxes of tile and were told "No Returns on Special Orders". Best tile has numerous showrooms within their store, we were told that the front show room was special order. Each of their show rooms blend easily from one to another and there is NO WAY to differentiate what is stock and what is special order. We gave the measurements of the wall space we wanted to cover and they ordered the tile. Had we known our tile was "Special Order" we would have, measured the square footage ourselves and ensured that we only purchased what we needed. With the potential for breakage our initial thinking that a little extra was a good thing. After a few phone calls and complaints they did take back one of three unopened boxess with a healthy restocking fee. Additionially, in 2011 we tiled two bathroom floors, one tub enclosure, and some kitchen flooring without issue all from Best Tile, so we were not new customers to the store. I only can advise BEFORE you purchase anything ask very clearly if there is too much tile can if be returned? If so what are the return restrictions?
Description of Work: Selected and purchased wall tiles for kitchen remodeling. Problems were incurred when attempting to return unused tiles.

Best Tile will accept returns on unopened boxes of tile with the exception of natural stone or glass orders unless the product is defective. This particular purchase was also a Special Order, which was stated on the front of the estimate and sales receipt.
