The two brothers who are the namesake of the company, William and Hugh, were very helpful during the entire process and walked us through every step! They were clear about what work they were doing, and always checked with us before going through with any major decisions. While working, their crew members were also extremely helpful. They were polite and worked hard throughout the entire day to finish our roof in a timely manner. I highly recommend these fine gentlemen! You won't find anyone more kind, more knowledgeable, or more professional! Thank you, William and Hugh!

They did a beautiful job replacing the gutter. There were a few hiccups with the Spanish tile replacement/repair, but they were very responsive in addressing my concerns.

He was on time, very efficient and easy to work with. In addition, he assessed my gutters and told me they didn't need repair. I asked whether I should get gutter screens, and he said he didn't feel they were necessary in my case. I always like a professional who can be trusted to give good advice (particularly when that advice leads to less work instead of more).

They were great. Everything done as promised for price quoted. No complaints. Called them back for another job and found them to be reliable and punctual.

Extremely poor experience. Please brace yourself, this was a very unpleasant experience. Hugh was trying to lock down the job on the phone before even coming here to see it. He asked me if he gives me a good price would I be ready to hire him on the spot? I told him no I won't be and that if that's what he wanted he should not bother to come. He reassured me that he would like to come anyway. He never asked me what I was looking to do. I was going to do two entire new flat roofs and all new gutters and soffits and fascia and wood where it needed to be replaced. My Roof was not in poor condition but it has been a long time So I wanted to be proactive and responsible And protect my fathers investment. Hugh wanted to put a layer on top of my existing flat roofs and oh boy was he pushing what he wanted. He kept telling me what a "great deal" he was giving me. I was not looking for a great deal- I was looking for Professionalism and a job well done and two New flat roofs not a layer on top of my existing. This experience gets worse. He tells me $7500. The other estimates I received were for brand new roofs with new wood and using much better materials than Hugh was talking about and it also included numerous more things included on the scope of work than what Hugh was offering. The prices quoted for all of that was not far off from Hugh's idea of shortcutting my roofs- I communicated this information to him as well. In the front of the house I have a very tiny area of shingles- Hugh sat there criticizing how cheap my shingles are and how they are the worst on the market. Fact- it's 20 years old and the other roofers said it was fine. I wanted it replaced while I got everything else done but nothing was wrong with their current condition. It gets worse. I am trying to get rid of him and tell him that I will discuss it with my father and get back to him at a later time. My father is technical homeowner but does not live here and in no uncertain terms wants to deal with any Contractors ever (I am Starting to see why) but hiring people to maintain the house is something I have agreed to do for him. Well Hugh loses his temper (in front of his teenage son also named hugh). He gets so nasty and says " I thought you were going to hire me Today but you can't even make decisions, you wasted my Time, I can't start the work Today, if I knew that I would have never come here." That's where I had to remind him of our prior conversation where I told him I was not going to hire him on the spot and that he is annoying me And that I can make the decision but wanted to Discuss with my dad which was none of his business anyway. We awkwardly argue for approximately 10 minutes where I had to assert myself and my energy into telling him how much I would never succumb to pressure sales tactics and that he has thoroughly annoyed me. He said "that's ok I annoy my wife all the time." Ahhh.. I was not a client- I was a woman and it was ok to disrespect me. He would not walk away and kept begging me for me to give him a chance and he kept apologizing (realizing he royally messed up) so I finally said "look send me the quote." He still didn't move- so I said I won't leave you a review just send me in email the quote and I told him "I will think about it but it is Highly unlikely that I would ever hire you because of Your behavior." Took so long to get him to leave. I get an email with scope of work and I decided I would give Hugh the Opportunity to do one thing we talked about. (A special Gutter situation for my backyard water issues) on a positive note, he came Up with a smart, creative idea and so I decided to give him The chance to do this small Thing since I felt bad for him (i was embarassed for him for how he behaved in front of His teenage son and he apologized profusely for how he treated me and it was his good idea so I was trying to be nice and give him the benefit of the doubt that although I think he is a jerk, he probably Would do a nice job with the gutter challenge in my backyard. I suggested we do just that and see how it goes from There. An opportunity for redemption that it turns out he truly did not deserve- I never heard back from him. He's total ******** artist, says he's Trying to save you money and then begs for the job and seems desperate and then i try to cut this jerk some slack and I never heard back. I'm so glad I didn't hear back from him. I am confident that I escaped potential stress and aggravation. Please be careful- do not just believe what Hugh says. Some People Have no moral Fiber and truly are out to take advantage of you while repeatedly telling you how much they do not do that. Hey Hugh, you tried to sucker me and bully me and I was not going to leave the review- I guess I too when put to the test can Say one thing and do another. I think you're a jerk and hope that people think more than twice before taking what you say to them at face value. Don't contact me And try to harass me or argue with me over my review. You, your son, me and my surrounding neighbors who heard you barading me all Witnessed your unprofessional harassing behavior.

Hugh came to check out the situation on the same day he was called. He took pictures of the damaged roof (which had not been checked in years) and came down to show us, then discussed 3 options -temporary or permanent fix. He was not pushy on which we should choose and gave us his honest opinion about each. We opted for repair this time around but will definitely contact him when we are ready to have a full replacement. He knows his business and knows how to treat his customers right. I am recommending him to others.

Professional from start to finish: 1. Arrived on time for appointment to inspect the job 2. Took photos of before and after & sent to email address 3. Explained the problem and work in an understandable manner 4. Inspected roof for any other issues 5. Completed work on time and removed garbage

We decided to install new roof over the existing roof. They worked very efficiently and whole roof installation was done quickly.

They were excellent from the very first conversation. All appointments were scheduled around my schedule and they showed up on time for both initial estimate and to do the job. Although originally we were planning to just patch up the main roof, we were told that it would be better to redo both roofs in one shot. Their pricing is pretty competitive based on the quotes I got and they were on site the entire time to do the work and supervise all their workers. As a result I have a peace of mind knowing that real roofer was there the entire time to make sure that things are getting done right as opposed to just showing up to pick up the payment and then letting his workers do all the work on their own. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

It was such a pleasure to deal with Hugh n William. They are professional, extremely knowledgeable, courteous, thorough, prompt an he (William) and his crew worked well together. They started work immediately n they returned the next morning little after 8. William stayed until job was complete n the property was cleaned by his workers. My initial contact was with Hugh but William worked the job. I found William to be a mature individual (wise n responsible) and I will definitely use them in the future if n when necessary.

Overall, seemed to go well. Hugh was lovely to deal with, and the work was done quickly. The result is lovely and, I'm hoping, will last for the next 15 years at least. Hugh even came back about a month later to remove a satellite dish he promised to take down while he was doing the original work. At the time they didn't have any matching shingles... so when I called later, he came as promised. If I had any more roof work, I would certainly call them back. There was one thing I would do differently next time. When I originally called Hugh, he said he'd show up the next morning with his crew to clean the gutters (my original request). We'd just bought the house, so I didn't really know what he'd find up there. I wasn't sure the gutters were clogged, just thought it was a good thing to take care of. When I showed up the next morning about 20 minutes after they got there (we're still renovating, don't live there yet), and Hugh told me there was a minimum of $4k work up there, I felt like I had to decide on the spot because his whole crew was there waiting to get the go ahead. A couple were even up on the roof. Because I didn't know my roof situation well, I wish I had declined his offer to show up with his crew and instead asked him to come alone and just give me an estimate. That would have given me more time to mull it over and get other estimates. Obviously it's a bit early to give definitive feedback on a roofing job that hasn't been though a winter or very many storms. If we have any problems, I'll update my review.

I gave them, this is not a witch hunt. The guy is OK, his price is high, removal 20,000.

He patched and silicon and repaired every possible area of the roof that water could get in and then he applied the reflective coat. My roof looks better and prettier than any roof on my block. Well done..

William and Hugh did a very good job. They worked within my budget to give us the best possible price. They also found issues that other roofers did not. Other roofers quoted ripping off the entire roof and replacing it, costing us much more. Hugh believed we could extend the life of the roof by fixing the leaks. I appreciate that approach and willingness to get the full life out of the roof before replacing. The gutter portion was straight forward and the guys were neat and quick. The roofing went well, with Hugh giving me updates as the day went by. They also saw a few other minor problems (nails popping us and not enough caulking in certain spots) which they fixed at no extra charge. In the end, I was pleased with the project and would hire them in the future.

The garage roof's look great, in truth I have not been up on the roof of the house to review the job yet but I have confidence in their ethics.

Quickie aluminum coating and does not really cover the cracks on the roof. Poor quality work. He sprayed alum coating that it just color the black roof but not really cover it so as to protect it from the rain and snow leak!

Overall I was very pleased with the outcome, but there were a couple of hiccups along the way. On Wednesday Oct. 7 2015, I spoke with a gentleman by the name of William ( a very nice kid) about the job. He told me since he was in the area he would go over and inspect the roof. He then called me back and told me that he could do the job that Saturday (Oct.10) for $2700.00. And I agreed.. Saturday morning, William 's uncle showed up first (Hugh), and upon inspection of the roof, he told me that William (his nephew), did not fully understand the scope of the job. Apparently the insulation on the roof, in his opinion, would be extremely difficult to remove, and wanted an additional $500.00 for the Job. (I found it a bit odd, that he was implying that one of his partners in the roofing business was not totally knowledgeable about the various roofing materials ). We did come to an agreement though, and the job went on based on the original asking price. The other minor glitch, had to do with the roofing material used for the job, and I take partial responsibility for that mishap. I'm not a roofer, by any stretch of the imagination, but the research I did, drew me to the conclusion that an S.B.S. roof (Styrene Butadiene- Styrene), has rubber like characteristics and improved resistance to aging, when compared to an A.P.P. (Atactic Polypropolyene ) roof, which is more plastic in nature and will not have the same recovery properties associated with the SBS products. And I thought that an SBS roof was being put down on my roof. Well somehow things "got lost in translation", and an APP roof was applied instead. (Again I take partial responsibility for that, maybe I was unclear when speaking to Hugh). In the end , the job was done in a professional manner, and am happy with the quality of the work performed. And as a good faith gesture, $200.00 was deducted from the asking price, for the misunderstanding about the roofing material used. All in all, I feel comfortable recommending William and Hugh, to relatives and friends.

They were great, they fixed everything needed on the roof, our roof is huge, it is a 3 story home. They also put the reflective roof coating on the roof, installed new vent, etc. They showed before and after photos and gave us a 5 year warranty. I would highly recommend them.

We called William & Hugh Roofing on a Saturday afternoon requesting a quote and they were able to come by an hour later, take a look at the roof and give us the most honest opinion we received from 3 previous roofer that came out to see the work. They were very professional from the start and were sincere in their quote. They could have, like 3 previous roofer, tried to talk us up and try to make us do more work then needed, but they didn't. Hugh was great with his work description and reassured us that the work would be fully guaranteed. I am so impressed with the work that I will be using them on my new home next month. I am so happy I we got Angie'slist and were able to find such a good company.

The first appointment we had, they realized that they wouldn't be able to arrive on time, so they called me right away. I was not able to make the later time, so we rescheduled for the next morning. They arrived early and were professional and knowledgeable. My neighbor across the street ended up hiring them to do exterior painting, put up some shingles, and put up shutters on her windows. She was happy and her house looks much nicer.

Hugh emailed me and after we spoke we very quickly made an appointment to look at the job. He and his son Bill were both polite, knowledgable and professional. Job was completed in 4 hours. The price was more than fair for the work completed. He told us to call back if we had any problems with the work. We'd happily recommend them.
