Description of Work: Woodland Tree Service is the tree servicing component of Living Earth Landscape Design and that is the name which appears on their tree service equipment. |I am in Northern NJ and there are many local tree services available. I probably would not have considered a company from Suffern, NY had I not seen them working in the neighborhood, liked what I saw, and made an inquiry |I contracted with Woodland to perform the removal of two large swamp maple trees and included stump grinding. One tree was a sizable double trunk very close to the house. The core tree removal team of 3 arrived about 9 AM on the scheduled day, set up their equipment and proceeded to scale the tree. All the tree work was performed through coordinated climbing, rigging and cutting of tree branch and trunk parcels that were individually lowered to the ground; no crane was used. Jhon, the Woodland Tree Service Supervisor who had given me the price quote for the work, arrived to assist the team in removing the tree closest to the house. The team proceeded efficiently to lower the tree from the top down and they were completed around midday. |Most of the tree debris was chipped but the largest portions of trunk were moved street-side to be picked up the following day. |Jhon left and the team took a lunch break before proceeding to remove the other tree in a similar manner; chipping most of the debris but leaving the largest portions to be picked up the following day. |The next day a large truck with a power grappler arrived to collect the logs and I was told that the stump grinder would arrive the following day, which it did and after inspecting the finished work I provided payment. | |Sorry to see the trees go, but have to say I felt that Woodland did a quality job at a competitive price. Definitely recommend giving Woodland consideration for tree service.
