+ 0 moreIt went great. Another company was cleaning our vent and found that the conduit was torn and needed replacement. They recommended another company but we found Nate on Angie's List. Nate was available the same day. He came over and replaced the conduit which ran from the dryer and up and through our attic. He did a great job. We think the fee was very reasonable. We will now be using Nate for our annual cleaning.

I thought I might have to re-route the current duct through another exterior wall, but Nate assured me the current location was sufficient and I could avoid the additional expense. He gave me the choice of a few materials at different price points and never tried to up sell any additional parts or labor. The dryer vent was in a hard to get at location, but Nate completed the job relatively quickly. I would definitely call him with any other dryer duct and vent issues.
Description of Work: Needed to replace old dryer duct with new duct work that was up to current safety codes.

+ -1 moreNate immediately set up a time for the following week, given we live in Peekskill and provided a reasonable window of time for us to expect him. Once he arrived, he discovered we had a giant bird's nest in our dryer vent and he cleaned it out thoroughly, all from the outside of our home. Nate suggested adding his patented covers (which keep the birds out) and he posted a reminder sticker in our laundry room to ensure we remember to service our dryer vent on time. Nate's pricing was reasonable and he was a true professional and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely be hiring him in the future and highly recommend him to our neighbors.
Description of Work: We moved into our home about a year ago and we were unsure of the condition of our dryer vent. When our vent signal light on our dryer turned on, we contacted Nate to come service our home.

+ 0 moreNate and his helper came same day, on time, were polite, knowledgable, no-nonsense, and got my clogged dryer vent cleaned end-to-end in very little time with their air hose equipment. They worked from the outside to avoid any mess in the house, and then cleaned up the lint outside too. With the hose they were able to reach all the way to the dryer and inside the dryer. Then they replaced my broken flap valve outside. Then tested the dryer. Very pleased with the result - Dryer working much better now.
Description of Work: Clean dryer vent duct ($99), plus replace broken flap valve ($30) outside.

(It seemed top be sturdier than those found at local hardware stores). He did note that future cleanings -- if done regularly would be around $99. I would definitely use him again and recommend him.

+ -1 moreNate responded quickly and showed up as promised. He quickly found what the prior company failed to do in to correct my problem. His pricing was fair and I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
Description of Work: He came in to correct a problem I had from another vent cleaning company. After looking over the problem, he realized that the roof mount of the vent was clogged and not cleaned. He climbed up to the roof vent and removed a sizable amount of lint that was clogged there. During the work he noticed that the vent connection was not to code and could cause a fire. I had him replace that section of the vent which the prior cleaning company failed to mention. He was a lot more professional and knowledgeable than the prior company who failed to clean the vent. To top it off, the overall cost was lower even with the replacement of the flex. metal vent used to bring the system up to code.
