PTR Tub & Tile Restorations

I was very pleased with the service I received from PTR. I was in the midst of a master bath reno and my freestanding tub arrived with very noticeable cracks. Rather than deal with the hassle of a return, I relied on Angie's List reviews and hired PTR to do the repair. PTR cautioned that the color might not be an exact match, but it's perfect - looks like a brand new tub (as it is). It was also clear that the technician (Wesly) really took pride in his work. I enjoyed watching him, as he worked as one would if they were working on a sculpture or other piece of art. I would certainly use PTR's services again, and likely will soon.

The bathroom was a horrible pink and light blue color tiles with a light blue tub. The tiles and tub were re-glazed white. They installed new tiles and it came out perfect!. The bathroom looks bran new!! The results were better than expected.. the workers were very professional and extremely neat.. we are planning on doing the other outdated bathroom next..

The worker who performed the re-glazing did a great job. The owner Mike said I would get the 10 yr warranty from his worker. I did not get it and forgot to ask about it. I have contacted PTR at LEAST 4 times inquiring when I will get the warranty. This job was done in March 2019 and I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT!! If I were to use them again, I would wait to get the warranty before paying for the work.

A contractor comes to your home and does a good job and leaves. He gets a good review. End of story. But we are all human and, sometimes, a job isn't done right. That's when a contractor either becomes a bad one or a great one! I had my bathtub and sink from 1950 re-glazed. The job was not satisfactory. I called the contractor, PTR Tub and Tile Restorations. I was told the owner was on vacation and I would be called as soon as he returned. He actually called within the hour and came, from his vacation, to my house within a few hours. He immediately agreed that the job was not satisfactory and assured me it would be done correctly. Within a few days, they returned and completely redid the job. After a few more days, the glazer returned and polished up everything. I now have a sink and tub that looks brand new after 68 years of use! Mike, the owner, and this company is not just a good company, they are a GREAT company. You can be assured of a great job, and if not, they will make it one in short order.

The technician showed up right on time and set up the work area, taking care to protect the area around the tub and bathroom. He work diligently on removing the old glazing and applying the new glazing, The technician set up a fan in the window to reduce the smell from the stripper and new glaze although there was noticeable lingering odor for a couple of weeks. Probably best to have this work done when the weather is nice so you can keep your windows open. The finished work looked like a new tub. I would use them again.

Mike send his guy over and he did a great job and the price was right at $450 bucks. They are very professional and I would hire them again.

Was going to go with Rebath and a whole tub enclosure but decided to have the grout redone. Glad I did. It looks better than I thought it would. Just like new! They were on time and did a great job. I am definitely using them again, this time to have the tub re-glazed.

Mike and his team are extremely professional and prompt. As promised, they refinished our tub and tile on time and delivered a brand new looking bathroom. We would highly reccomend and use them again!

Mike is great to work with. He’s very responsive and was able to schedule our job within a few days. Even a minor follow-up visit was done promptly, despite having to drive back to Connecticut. His workers were punctual, courteous, and left both bathrooms clean and almost odorless. But the best part is the final result…our outdated tub and shower stall are now a bright white color. They look fantastic and almost brand new! We are totally satisfied with PTR Tub & Tile Restorations and would highly recommend them.

Very well. Our bathtub looks brand new. It was done in a timely manner and everthing was left clean when done. They matched the color of our tub perfectly and even brought 2 colors so we could be sure which was the best match. The smell was not very bad and dissipated within 48 hours. We were left with instructions as to when it would be dry and what type of bathmat to use. We were told we could call anytime. All in all we were very happy with the results and the professionalism.

Craftsman arrived on time and finished on schedule. Overall a job well done. Looks great!

Mike was great to deal with. Very responsive. Took my call on a weekend and directly answered all follow up calls. Chose PTR based on Angieslist.com reviews....right on. My first attempt at finding someone for the job came from a contractor's recommendation. Unfortunately, the other vendor only worked through an answering service and never responded for days on end. Mike, however, readily coordinated with my contractor. Contractor came in on a Monday to remove the sink and toilet and take up the old linoleum floors. Wesley showed up early on Tuesday and set to work. Very professional, clean, orderly....and what a fantastic job....looks incredible. Next day, contractor came in and laid 1/4" plywood on the floor to support the new tile floor. Unfortunately, the contractor scratched the new tub surface in several places. Called Mike at PTR and he had Wesley return return and fix the damage...no additional cost. Thanks Mike and Wesley for being so professional and great. We love our new tub and bathroom. Would recommend PTR to anyone.

I called mike at PTR and he stopped by that same day to take a look at what we needed, he gave us a great estimate which included the tub, tile in the shower, along the base of the bathroom and cleaning of an additional shower stall in the master bedroom. The finish product is amazing, better than we even expected and on top of that it comes with a 10 year guarantee. Overall it was amazing service, they were super knowledgeable and the final product came out incredible. would definitely recommend.

Mike's guys Wesley and Billy did a great job on our bathroom. They both started on time and worked the whole day to get the job done on time. Their work was high quality and thorough. We installed marble tile which was harder to work with but they still stuck to the timeline and budget. Our bathroom ended up looking great. We would definitely use their service again.

We had one worker come to the house and work non-stop all day. His work was excellent. Our tub looks beautiful. He protected the rest of the bathroom and left the room clean. You only knew he was there because of the beautiful tub! We received a call from Mike in the evening to make sure we were satisfied, a very nice touch! We would recommend PTR.

From the first call to Mike to the finished product, this was highly professional service. Mike was responsive when I called and he handled all details required by my apartment building. The technician,Bill, was punctual and left the bathroom spotless. My bathtub looks new and the work is guaranteed for 10 years. Mike even leaves instructions on how to clean the bathtub so that the finish stays on. This was a wonderful experience.

Phone call with Mike was good. While working, the gentleman was courteous and careful protecting the surrounding areas of the house. Most importantly, the work was great.

I contacted Mike at PTR a while back when I was researching having my 28 year old blue faded fiberglass tub enclosure refinished. I got a response from my Angie's List inquiry almost immediately. Mike was very professional to deal with and spend time explaining the process to me. I was trying to decide between refinishing and renovation. The cost and disruption of ripping out the old fiberglass tub enclosure were huge. It would have cost me ten times more to renovate, and refinishing resulted in none of the disruption. Just wait 24 hours for it to cure and your bathtub is operational again. I did a great deal of research on the different processes and materials used, and after a much too long decision process I finally decided to proceed. When I got back in touch with Mike from PTR, he was extremely responsive, and available by both phone and email. I told him that I wanted to proceed, and he was extremely accommodating to get the work done on my schedule, with fairly short notice. On the day of the job, Billy from PTR arrived on time and took time to prepare the room, install ventilation and generally treat my home better than I do. He answered all of my questions and explained what he was going to do. The process does result in some odor, but most of the smell is exhausted out, and what's left dissipates quickly. When the job was done, I was truly amazed. Billy took all of the material to prepare the room out with him, leaving nothing behind but a white tub unit. I was expecting a white tub, but I was not expecting it to look as good as it did. It looked like a bright white unit with a ceramic finish. It completely brightened up the room. After the 24 hour curing period, I installed sliding glass doors with satin chrome hardware and the unit looked incredible. I plan on replacing the toilet and the vinyl floor with tile, and will end up with a completely updated bathroom for a fraction of the price. If you have an tub or shower in an outdated color, this is a very smart way to go. I was extremely happy dealing with Mike from PTR and his crew, and the results were excellent. I would recommend them for bathroom refinishing without hesitation.

From the moment Mike came to our home to see our bathroom and to the completion of the project we were impressed by the professionalism of his company. His employee who performed this miracle transformation of our bathroom was a true craftsman! He was punctual, meticulous, and the finished bathroom is amazing. The tile is sparkling. All went very well, Mike answers the phone when you call and he was able to schedule me within a week. The men he sent were a pleasure to have in my home. They were respectful of my home, very professional and did a beautiful job reglazing two sixty year old bathtubs, ( one blue/one pink ) now a fresh bright clean white.
