Tom did previous work on our roof which we were very happy with. So when we had a leak, we called him to check out the situation. He responded to our call immediately and came to check out the previous work to be sure that was not the problem, then continued to find where the leak was from. He gave us alternative solutions and when we decided which plan to take he arrived on the day and time he said he would be here. The work was done in one day, they were careful and respectful of our property, and cleaned up when done. The price was fair and we know he will backup his work. He was professional and cooperative to work with, and answered all our questions. I would definitely call him in the future if I ever need roof work again.

Tom Jannace Roofing, Inc. did a splendid job ripping and re-roofing our house. I have used many contractors over the years, and he is among the best. His crew has been with Tom for years, and their professionalism is a reflection of Tom's. When the project was complete, the property was as immaculate as when they first arrived, and they were careful to schedule the project between periods of rain. Tom spent hours helping us make selections of roofing and other materials, and he answered our every question. In helping make selections, he invited us to take a look at roofs he'd recently completed. Following the re-roofing, Tom installed new gutters, and he was careful not to leave the house vulnerable w/o gutters (something a contractor had done with one of our neighbors). In addition to the re-roofing and gutters, Tom's crew replaced the flashing on the chimney, added a vent for a bathroom fan, and reset a skylight that had been installed, incorrectly, on top of existing layers of shingles. When the motor housing came loose several days after the work was completed, Tom came over, assessed the situation (that the housing had come loose after years of operation), and reassembled it. Tom also gave me valuable information on items not related to his work. I had had a new robotic pool vacuum installed, and he advised me not to keep it in the sun, and he showed my how to adjust the latch on my aluminum fence. Tom Jannace was not the lowest bid, but his craftsmanship and materials justify the difference.I recommend Tom Jannace Roofing, Inc. without reservation. His work is the measure of an excellent contractor and an equally good man.

s.I used Tom's Company to replace/repair roof shingles that were damaged in a recent wind storm. He came out immediately to evaluate the job. I received prices from four other company's. I don't always go with the lowest bid because I'm always suspect that the work is less than adequate. It just so happened that Tom's price was the lowest. but I was more impressed with his experience and professionalism. I knew that it wasn't a huge job and that It happened right after a storm so I was very pleased that Tom did not take advantage of the situation as the other contractors did. I will probably need a new roof within the next few years, Tom will get that job. Thanks Tom, it's nice to see that there are some honest professionals left. BTW. I also used another online sourcing service to find vendors. I will never use them again as the quality, professionalism and price were very low to non-existent . Don't know how these vendors got such high grades. One guy showed up and asked me, "how much do you want to pay?" You're kidding right?

Following storm damage (a tree fell on the house), I contacted 8 roofing contractors for estimates, including Tom Jannace Roofing. After rejecting evident rogue/expensive/unsatisfactory offers, I ended up with three, all of which I felt were reasonable. Tom's was in fact both the cheapest, and the most comprehensive in terms of included detailed items. I decided to select Tom's offer, not only because of the price, but also, equally importantly, because of the quality and extent of the personal contact & interaction I had with Tom during the course of making the contractor selection. I met with him many times, one time even at his home over beer, in order to understand, refine and tailor the estimate to my needs, and also to prepare the documentation required my my insurance company. This time was absolutely invaluable for me in helping me to move from a total novice in this area, to feeling comfortable with the details of the work proposed, the materials to be used and the price offered. Once the contract was signed, the work was initiated within a week. There was a large team who came to do the job and Tom was present much of the time to supervise and control the work together with his foreman. The work was interrupted for a week because of the weather, but in total, the entire roof job took 3-4 working days. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the workmanship of Tom's team, the coordination of the work, and the number of people assigned to the job. The post-job clean-up was also exceedingly well done - it was almost as if they had never been there! Walking around the house, I found no more than 4-5 stray nails - excellent especially given the amount of rubbish that was taken off the roof (2-3 layrs of old shingles & many hundreds of nails!!). I therefore have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Tom Jannace Roofing in the strongest possible terms. The quality of service, the personal interaction, the quality of the materials used and the follow-up of the work during the job were all really first rate. I am extremely happy with the result of the job and I have now a great roof on the house. Thanks Tom!!!

Tom was very kind and honest. He fixed my leak problem and even called to follow up after a big thunderstorm to see how his repairs held up. I would 100% recommend him.

Tom answered my phone call promptly. He came over the next day to look at what needed to be done. He was able to do the work that day since it was not a large repair. He went beyond by cleaning off debris from the roof. He had previously put a new roof on my house a few years ago and I would certainly recommend him for all their roofing needs.

We could not have asked for or dealt with a better company than Tom Jannace Roofing. Tom was very responsive to our roof and water drainage problems. Excellent workmanship. Renee and his crew did a top notch job. Very friendly, accomodating crew. Made sure our property was thoroughly cleaned of all debris.

We dealt with Tom Jannace directly. Made an appointment for April 9, 2015 to have Tom come by the house and inspect the roof and the work that needed to be done. Tom showed up on time...looked over the roof and found some loose shingles that would need to be nailed down as well as inspected the area that were missing shingles as a result from a recent wind storm. Our home was built in 2000 and Tom explained that our Certanteed shingles are now discontinued and hard to find since SuperStorm Sandy. But, he said that he would try to get the same shingles for us and he explained that it might take a week to find them, which depended upon whether he could find them locally or have to go off Long Island to find them. Depending on where he has to get the shingles from the quoted an estimated price for parts and labor of $400 with the caveat that it could be slightly higher. My husband has done some roofing when he was younger, and felt that Tom knew his business very well and trusted what Tom told him with regard to the needed repairs, supplies, and price. Tom contacted us about a week later saying that he found a supplier about 2 hours from Long Island with a small supply of our type shingles, and asked for $100 deposit from us to cover the cost of the tiles and trip up to obtain them. He had the tiles by that weekend and made an appointment to do our repairs on April 22, 2015. He said we did not have to be present for them to complete the job, and asked that we leave the remaining balance for him in an agreed upon spot. The total cost of our repairs was $450, not much off what the initial estimate was. We felt the price was fair and are super satisfied with the work Tom's company performed and wouild not hesitate to use Tom Jannace Roofing Inc. again if the need arises. In fact I have already provided Tom's information to a friend who needed some repair done on her roof.

Met Tom and his son doing other jobs in the neighborhood and asked for an estimate on my house. He was prompt and gave a fair price for the work that included replacing two Velux skylights. He and his crew were friendly, helpful and did an excellent job including the post work cleanup. .It has been several months since the job wasdone and no problems what so ever in spite of record rainfalls this year. Have no hesitation recommending his company to others.

All went very well. We needed some extra repairs to plywood areas from prior damage and an add on porch and Tom and his crew were able to address all the issues our roof had without a glitch.Tom and his crew were very professional,prompt, did a great job, and cleaned up all the debris. Tom was very personable, stood by his word. He understood our needs and we appreciated that. He's a terrific roofer and a good honest man.

My wife and I had several "roofers" evaluating necessary repairs to stop leaks. Almost without fail, a very expensive whole roof repair was the recommendation. Luckily, we contacted Tom Jannace, found him very professional with his analysis of our problems and he was very sympathetic to our revealing that we are far from wealthy and dependent on social security for approx. 90% of our income! He has proposed a repair that will extend the life of our roof for years to come at approx. 25% of other solicited remedies. We plan on entering into a formal contract in the very foreseeable future.

I called him for an estimate and he promptly showed up. I agreed to hire him to replace two skylights and a section of the roof. He said he would be back the Wednesday of the next week. Wednesday comes and goes, I call him to get an answering machine. When I did get a hold of him he said he would come the Monday of the next week, and he was sorry because his Aunt died. Monday morning I called to get the answering machine again. When I did speak to him he told me if I was in a hurry he would understand if I found someone else. Originally when I met him I went into great detail about how we were in a terrible hurry and we were waiting on this roof repair to continue with the renovation of the house. We were living with my Mother-n-law and time was of the essence. I went into great detail about how we had a previous roofer who was out twice to fix it and after several no-shows and no return calls we decided to find someone else. He knew what a terrible situation we were in before he took the job. I am disgusted that he wasted another two weeks of my time with this house.

Extremely professional All work was completed as estimated. When we had a record breaking 13 inches of rain on 8/12/14, completely overwhelming the gutter system, he came back an made additional repairs without charge. It was a pleasure dealing with this company. I would recommend his services without reservation. This is a family owned business with the principal on site when the repairs are in progress.

He told me that my roof was in good shape. (A huge relief since the house is over 20 years old and I bought it in March in an "as is condition". Also, Hurricane Sandy did a lot of damage to many homes nearby. (I live close to the Great south Bay) and I was concerned that there might have been more damage than met the eye. But the damage was minor and quickly repaired. Tom was very professional and pleasant to deal with. Great to have that huge and ugly antenna removed.

Tom was professional, punctual, neat and did a great job on our roof. His workers were polite and competent.

Mr. Jannace nailed 2 shingles that were loose. Mr. Jannace is a honest man. Because he could have told me that my roof needed repairs. If, I ever need my roof repaired, I would call Tom Jannce.

Tom said repairs of any kind are not included. Only an inspection. Also, he doesn't do siding which would have been involved.

He was swamped and couldn't get to it in a reasonable time. I appreciated that fact upfront.

The man I spoke to after purchasing the deal was very nice but said that identifying/ fixing the leak in my roof would be a more involved process that would not be included with this deal (said the deal includes caulking, fixing exposed nails, general tune-ups, etc). Since I need to have the leak in my roof identified and fixed, I was not able to use them as part of this offer.

Gave us call and asked if it wouls be ok if he came in a ho ur, and that was fine. Told him of some problems and he tried to fix them. Did not push for extra work and quoted a price for a whole roof job.

Left a message on his machine and he phoned us the very night he returned from an out of town surgery! Was unable to perform the work but offered to look into finding someone who could. When we hung up I resigned myself to the fact that I'd never hear from him again. He called back after a week or so to let me know he had no news for me. The nicest contractor I've ever dealt with and he wasnt even looking to make money on me! We've had experience with MANY contractors in many different trades and havent seen this level of concern and courtesy in ANYONE other than those who were trying to sell us a job. We heard fantastic things about Tom Jannace and aside from seeing his work, they were true. I would definitely call him for a future job.
