I found water leak somehow actually coming through the backside of my shower between my bedroom wall and shower. After I looked at it through the access panel, I saw the water was somehow coming through the shell itself. I called Home Magic, and he was there shortly after I called him. I couldn't be happier with the service provided. He was quick to come over and dig right in to find the problem. After some quick trouble shooting, he found the problem, repaired it, and double checked that it was good to go.

Originally I had a good experience dealing with them. The guy that came out was good and friendly. I was satisfied with the service. I just need to call them back because I found something that doesn't work that they've done. UPDATE- The outlets aren?t working now, and it appears that the ceiling was not completely painted. The agreement was for the whole ceiling to be painted and he only painted part of it. I've tried to contact him and left messages regarding the work that needs to be completed and he has not made any attempt to contact back. UPDATE- It has now been 5 months and I have still not heard anything from him.

Henry came for estimate. Called him week later, he stated he would email estimate. Never happened. Similar experience of previous posting. I'm not going to chase them. Not professional in my opinion.

We are very happy with the results. Our foyer looks better than it did before the damage. Henry was very nice to work with. He fit us in between jobs and kept in contact with us. Would recommend and will contact again when we are ready to do future work to the house. Sorry it took so long to write the review.

This was the second time I have called Henry for an emergency issue. I found that I have a leak in the wall behind a bathroom vanity which was dripping into my basement. I called Henry in the evening and he was there that night to take a look. He came back 1st thing the next morning and fixed the problem. Henry is a very honest guy and has not tried to push other services on me when he is helping with something. His prices are fair.

Recently after we moved into our new house we found that there was a leak in the roof. We called several people on Angie's List and Henry is the only one who got back to me AND came to take a look at it. Henry was there the same day and had my leak repaired within 2 days. The work was 1st rate and his price was very reasonable, lower than I was expecting.

He did an outstanding job! He was very meticulous! He was exceptionally prompt! He left my house in perfect clean condition!

Henry did a great job, he made sure we knew all of the options for what we wanted done and did a great job. He did the work quickly and everything was clean when he finished. I will be calling on him again.

Henry and his crew did a wonderful job. We ordered the new laminate flooring, and he picked it up. They worked quickly to remove the old floor and haul it away. The work was done cleanly and we were very pleased with the results. We were so pleased that we decided to have him renovate our laundry room and paint both rooms. We found the stock cabinets we wanted at a big box store and he picked them up and put them together and installed them. There were a few complications with the plumbing (not his fault), but they fixed them without adding any extra costs. In addition, Henry is an interesting, honest guy. He seems to like his work and it was a pleasure doing business with him. I would give him an A+ if I could.

After Henry did such a good job with our den and laundry room, we decided to renovate our bathroom and paint the walls in the hallway. Henry and his crew did it all--removing the old walls and fixtures, putting up all new sheetrock, installing a new tub, tiling the floor and walls, installing a rather complicated vanity and sink, installing the bath fixtures, installing the toilet, and painting the walls and the hallway. Henry sent us to a plumbing supply house where we selected our own material and those costs as well as the cost of the vanity and tiles that we paid for are not included in what we paid him. Except for a problem getting the wrong size toilet and having to find a new one, everything was done right. The house was kept clean throughout and they were responsive to all the little modifications we asked for. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are so happy with the results.

It went extremely well. The call to set up a date for an estimate was returned in a timely manner. Henry arrived on time, listened to what was to be accomplished and delivered the estimate within several days. The estimate was broken out with costs clearly indicated. The job took the eight days that Henry indicated it would. The workday started at the same time each day and ended around 6:00 in the evening. Even during the tear down there was minimal mess and it never reached the house proper, it was always contained to the utility room and bathroom. Much of the sawing and other outside work took place in the back yard and even that was cleaned up every evening. Fidel who was here everyday was courteous, pleasant, and well skilled The finished rooms are well done and let me tell you, a real pleasure to look at. The clean up that was done at the conclusion of the project was outstanding. All in all, I would call Home Magic Renovations back to do additional work without hesitation. The cost was reasonable (even though the 10% Senior Discount indicated on the site page is not valid), the job well done.

Posting: Saturday - 8/31/2013 I called this contractor on Saturday 8/24/2013, no one answered but the answering machine picked up. I left a message detailing that we were looking to have contracting work done in our house and would like to get a quote ASAP. They never even bothered to call me back. Apparently they aren't looking to get any new business...very unprofessional in my honest opinion. If you are too busy to take new customers, either say so on your answering machine, or have the common courtesy to call back and inform the customer that you aren't taken on any new jobs. Update: Monday - 9/9/2013 A week after posting this review, I got a call from Gina at Home Magic Renovations. It was obviously they were calling because of my bad review because she knew I got their number from Angie's List. She scheduled a visit with me for later that day, telling me to expect Henry to show up. Henry came a little late, but he did call to let me know he was stuck in traffic. He spent some time looking over our requests and promised me a quote via E-Mail in two days (Wednesday 9/11/2013). Update: Friday - 9/13/2013 So I called Henry asking him is he was done with the quote, since he is now two days past the promised date that he would get me the quote. He told me he was driving and didn't have the information. Trying to still be understanding, I asked him if he could please send me the quote as soon as he has it in front of him. He promised he would E-Mail it ASAP. Update: Wednesday - 9/18/2013 It's been five more days without a quote...so I called the main office number and got the answering machine again. I left a message explaining that now it is two weeks that I am waiting for a quote that was promised to be sent to me in two days from the initial visit on 9/9/2013. I asked them that if they were not interested in the job, to please let me know, so that way I wasn't hanging here waiting on their quote. Update: Saturday - 9/21/2013 It's been three days since I left the last message with these people, no response. I can only assume they don't want the business since they don't answer the phone and they don't call back. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful in my opinion.

He worked very hard. Hee worked on the opening and cut all sides of the new door so it fit better. We really limed the results.

Henry did an excellent job at a reasonable price. He finished the job in about the time frame that waspromised.

It was painless. No issues at all. Easy to get on the phone as well.

Maybe Henry does do good work, but he kept us hanging for weeks and then came up with basically nothing.

The good thing is I know they're not good. People who don't get back to me BEFORE they have my money will certainly not get back to me afterward.

Home Magic started the job exactly when promised and they were here everyday until it was completed. This was a time consuming job with lots of small details that had to be dealt with but they were never phased by whatever came up. We had one delay because the counter top fabricator was closed for the holiday (which we didn't know in advance) and Home Magic built us countertops out of wood so that we wouldn't have to spend the holidays without a usable kitchen, something we didn't ask for or expect. The workmen who came here were all courteous and professional and paid attention to detail. They offered suggestions based on their experience and were easy to work with. We had no problem leaving them in the house if we had to go out. At the end of the job they suggested we "live with the kitchen" for several weeks and develop a punch list of things that needed correcting. There were one or two small items and they came promptly to fix them. We are enjoying our new kitchen and thinking up other projects for Home Magic to work on! Henry and his staff were a pleasure to have in our home and we look forward to a good working relationship with them in the future.

Home Magic was horrible. The guy came out to the house and just kept telling me what the job was going to be and wrote down on a napkin different things that needed to be done, then he took a roof shingle and I have not heard from him since. I could tell he did not want the job, because of how difficult the job was going to be in certain areas of the roof. I was surprised, because this is the first time that I have had this experience with somebody off of Angie’s List. If they are on Angie’s List, they are usually pretty good.

The overall experience was good. I would use this service again in the future.

Henry and his workers are awesome. We needed a bathroom upgrade in a Co-Op. The Bathroom has had issues for many years that caused problems for the apartment downstairs from us. We encountered a leaking problem which caused us to move forward sooner than we were ready under a very tight budget. Henry understood our issues and promised that we would stick to budget and keep costs down. Henry interfaced with our difficult to work with Co-Op Office masterfully, he knew how to handle them and stay the right things at the right time. His workers on the job did nice work and showed care for our home. They were respectful, professional and on time. I needed to be out of town on business during the time if the major construction. Henry was able to keep the project on schedule, demonstrate the progress made by sending photos. Henry called me a couple of times when I was on the road to update me on status, which was something I very much appreciated. Henry made a number of money saving suggestions that resulted in a beautiful job. We even had some budget left offer that we used to take care of a couple of items in our kitchen. The attention to detail stood out as a major plus, my wife and I are very happy with how everything turned out. We would recommend him and use his services again without reservation. This company truly deserves its high ratings.
