We needed to install a railing or build a wall at the top of the stairs so we'd have something to secure a baby gate to. Mike advised a waist-high wall, which was our preference, too. I'm very happy with how the wall turned out. Mike suggested an oak plank on top to provide a shelf surface, and it looks great. He was communicative and professional, including keeping me informed when his arrival was delayed and providing a receipt for supplies purchased.

He did a great job and was very pleasant to work with.

Michael is a gem of a handyman, and the one we rely on to keep our house falling down around our ears. He can do all sorts of things from electrical, to plumbing to carpentry and so much more! This time round he fixed a running toilet, two malfunctioning light switches, replaced fire alarms, attached a plaque to our front door, opened a filing cabinet we’d lost the keys for, installed better lighting in a bathroom, put new hinges on a kitchen cabinet, fixed the mirrored doors of two medicine cabinets that were threatening to come apart, and probably a few other things I’m forgetting. He spent all day here fixing things up and the house is in much better shape! If you need a handyman, you won’t regret hiring Michael.

Excellent! Michael was able to fit me in as soon as I needed, and was professional and helpful. I appreciated him taking on such a small job- it is often hardest finding someone willing to do the small stuff.

It went fabulously! I found the man! I couldn't have asked for more. Mike communicated well before him coming, was early, and completed all requests beautifully. I really can't be happier except I did think of another job for him to do, but he had already left. Next time :)

Michael DeBoer does impeccable work. You can see his perfectionism in how he works. He is thorough and very skilled. He built me beautiful railings for the steps on my deck and paid attention to every small detail. The staining and painting couldn't have been better, either. His work on my garage was above and beyond what I expected. Not only did he do a great job with the work I needed to close the gaps where the door meets the ground, he also poured concrete to even out the garage floor and ensure a tight seal. He was 100% honest about his hours and his cost and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Wouldn't think twice of hiring him again for more work around the house.

He came right away and on time. I got good work for the price paid.

Michael is a dream to work with, knowledgeable, capable and enthusiastic. No one in my house is at all handy so we really appreciate being able to call on him to help us out! I had two ceiling fans to install, both with lights, one with wall switches. The work required our walls and ceilings to be opened up a bit and Michael repaired and repainted everything beautifully. Then he did a variety of those little jobs that pile up in a house - pictures and shelves that needed hanging, lights that require peculiar light bulbs, a license plate frame that needed to be attached to my car. Everything is in much better order now he has been. I've hired Michael in the past and I will hire him in the future, he's an excellent handyman.

Things went very smoothly from the initial visit to the completion of the job. Mike took care of buying all of the materials and installing them. You can tell that this was certainly not his first door install. Beside the great work on installing the door and frame, he also did a great job on the trim so it blended well with the siding of my house. His rate is more than reasonable and you will certainly be happy with the end result if you do hire Mike (Hire A Husband).

Mike was terrific. The job looks wonderful, he was prompt and wonderful to work with. We will be calling him again....soon!

My dishwasher died. I hired Mike to install a new dishwasher for me. Mike is prompt and always reasonable with his fees. I have been utilizing Mike's services for a few years now and I would highly recommend him.

Mike was on time, extremely friendly and professional. Despite charging an hourly rate, he worked efficiently and got a lot more done in the time that I expected. He assessed all the jobs I had and made a run to both Home Depot and Loew's to get the correct paint and needed materials - one trip with receipts provided to prove materials' cost. He accidently forgot to plug my stove back in after fixing the wall, and came back the next morning to move it and plug it back in for me (too heavy for me to move) - no delay or hesitation. I will absolutely hire him again.

This is the first time I use Mike's service. Mike spent 4 hours on replacing/adding ~8 wood shingles and close two 3x5 inch holes for me. The initial estimate was 3 hours. To accomplish the job, he bought around $100 material and left the rest of them with me. His work is good but I do not like the drama happening in the end. When I ask him for receipts of the materials, which he promised to give me, Mike mocks me that I do not want to pay because "you (me) have money problem". He was also impolite in other ways. I was confused because all I did is to ask for the receipts and asked him why he spent one hour more than he estimated. He could have done the work a lot better.

Michael is prompt, responsive and professional. There is literally nothing he cannot do. Highly recommended!

Mike was, quite simply, the finest worker I have ever hired to do work in my house. He was, first and foremost, incredibly skilled--able to complete difficult tasks with apparent ease and consummate professionalism. As importantly, he treated both my house and I with great respect. He arrived on time each day and devoted himself completely to completing the requested work. His prices are absolutely fair and he conscientiously documented every penny he spent on materials to complete the work. Mike is also completely honest and ethical--I felt comfortable leaving him alone for the entire day in my house. He is also a genuiney pleasant individual. A small example demonstrates what an extraordinary worker Mike is. On the last day, beyond the scheduled completion time, Mike, without charging anything, spent a considerable amount of time restoring my wooden porch ffurniture which was in poor condition due to the severe winter. In short, I say, without reservation, that I will always rely on Mike for any work that I need done. I recommend him, without reservation, for any work that you need done.

Michael is incredible! So easy to deal with and it feels like a good friend is just there helping you out..he's very skilled and focused and gets the job done so well. He gets the materials and cleans up . I am so thrilled to have found someone I feel so comfortable with. As a woman, looking for someone I can call when I need something done around my house has been no easy feat. I'm so happy to have found Michael and I just hope he doesn't get so busy that he won't have time to come help if I ask him! Thank you Michael... You did a great job and I so appreciate everything you did for me.

mike was great. bought all the materials so it saved me a trip. built a half wall and matched up the paint perfectly. looks like the wall was always there. I will definitely use him in the future. his price was great as well.

Mike was great. He has a great personality and he does expert work. Everything was done perfectly. Mike even did some extra repairs to make sure the overall job looked great.

I told Mike that I was very satisfied and that he is "better than a husband!"

Smooth day. Everything fixed in time for the holidays

It was a fantastic experience! I feel guilty that it has taken me this long to write a review but on the other hand I can now report that work he did in April is still in fantastic condition in November! I will definitely hire him again next time all the little jobs pile up enough to require at least three hours work - and I will need quite a list of jobs because not only does he do good work, he does it really fast!! Annoyances that had plagued us for years were fixed in the blink of an eye. The thing that took a few days was patching and power washing our then crumbling decks - I say then crumbling because a deck that we didn't trust in April ( it was rotting to the point that we were frightened we'd fall through) is now firm and solid and patched so well you can't really tell that the work was done. He was very careful to choose lumber that exactly matched the lumber used to build it in the first place and it has all settled in marvelously. I wholeheartedly recommend him, he is a pleasant person to deal with and a very talented handyman.
