Scott was great! We called him (in a bit of a panic) on a late Sunday afternoon to come and cut down a tree that had been damaged by a storm earlier that day. The tree was badly damaged by the storm and was in danger of falling on the house. Scott returned our call immediately, and arrived to our house 40 minutes later to provide us with a quote. He was very honest about the price and informed us that if we chose to wait until later in the week, we'd save some money. We decided not to take the chance and had him cut it down immediately. Scott arrived about 45 minutes later, with 2 trucks and another worker, and removed the tree without issue. He was very professional and we were very pleased with his work. We would definitely use him again!

Scott and his team are total professionals! While negotiating times/dates, etc. Scott even called me back on a Sunday. His team did a great job; they were friendly and certainly knew what they were doing. We were so impressed by the caravan of trucks and equipment that arrived on the day of the work - we never thought the job could be completed in such a short time. The foreman was knowledgeable about where to plant the trees to have the best effect in our yard. Clean up was great. We would most definitely use this service again, and we will be referring them to our friends and family. We have used other services for smaller jobs where the cost was much more. They did great work! They did it in less that an hour. Everything was professional and they cleaned up. The quality of the work at the price he does stands out. He does a real fair price, cheaper than a lot of others.

They arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time. They got right to work. They each knew what needs to be done and did it without stepping on one another's toes. The work around the power line was done very carefully with care not to strike the lines with the branches. They know how to rope the branches so they come down in a controlled manner. They have a good comraderie - no bad language, no loud music. They were in an out within one and a half hours. They listened to what we wanted in terms of the branches to trim and did exactly what we had hoped. Any interaction I had with the crew was always polite and they showed good manners. A very positive experience. When they left it was cleaned so that anyone coming around would have not known they had been there.

Scott and his crew were excellent. From the initial request for a quote to the completion of the job. Scott returned my call the same day I called for an estimate. Came that evening and provided a written quote. Three other tree services were contacted, not one returned my call. Scott was upfront and right on in providing an approximate date that services could be perfomed. Crew showed up promptly and worked effectively and efficiently to cut down and remove the 3 silver maples along our property line. They did an excellent job in cleaning up the area, including the neighbor's property. In speaking with others who had similar work done, this was an excellent price. I would defintely recommend this services to others.

Two overgrown pine trees on my small front yard were causing havoc with utilities and digging up my driveway. Scott worked closely with dig safe to assure safe and proper removal. He handled everything from beginning to end. This company is excellent and it took Scott and his crew no more than 35 minutes to complete this job. I was totally impressed with the efficiency, professionalisim, courteous service and the excellent price. It was stellar. And in addition to all this, I received the Angies List Discount! No worries here with this company, and I highly recommend.

SDS Tree & Stump Removal are very respectful and very professional. They knew what they were doing. I have a lot of plants, flowers, bushes and trees and they didn't even crush one grass blade. They're just amazing. They're absolutely amazing people.

I called and left a message for an estimate, and they returned my call before the end of the day. They showed up right on time for the estimate appointment a few days later. I waited and got a few more estimates, but they were the best price and very professional in their manner. A few weeks later I called back and said I would like to have them do the trimming, and they added me on to their work list. I think they are a very busy company, so I knew it would be 2-3 weeks before they could fit in the appointment. They called again after a couple of weeks and set up a time for an early morning trimming as I had requested. Again, they showed up right on time and did the work in under 2 hours. No damage to was done to any of my property, even though it was very tight to get by the house to the yard. And they were very careful to keep limbs from dropping into the neighbors' yards. They did rake and sweep up after, although there was a bit of wood chip and pine needle debris left. But nothing major. The price was exactly what they had quoted.

Everyone at SDS was friendly and professional; from the initial call to the free on-site estimate to the take down crew. The crew that actually performed the service was exceedingly friendly. They took their time with the take down to ensure safety for themselves and our property. The price was VERY reasonable for this kind of work and I was able to apply the Angie's List coupon. I would definitely recommend SDS and will use them in the future should the need arise. Great job!

Scott was prompt, even early, for our estimate and tree service. He and his crew went right to work and took down the trees quickly. Clean-up was excellent.

I called for a free estimate and the estimator showed up at the designated time and provided a written free estimate. I received other estimates and they were the best price. I later called and they took off an additional 10% because I was an Angie's list member. They showed up right on time. It took only 3 hours and they worked right along. What was great to watch was that no one was standing around. They worked very well together. I am very pleased and would definitely use them again. In fact they gave me an additional estimate for additional tree removal.

Service: Their team showed up on-time and with more equipment than I had ever seen for tree removal. Matt communicated very well prior and was waiting for me to discuss the process that morning. I was still concerned about this equipment and the potential damage to my sprinkler system but Matt had actually spoke to the installer and they agreed it would not be a problem. After about 2 days the SDS team had entirely removed the trees and stumps. The only issue was from a concerned neighbor which Matt handled very well and I would not have even known if they had not told me. Cleam-up: This process was pretty efficient as well. However, as the debris was removed it started to reveal deep ruts in my lawn from the equipment. I am not talking about tire tracks these are 6-8 inches deep. (What I noticed recentily when passing a similar project was that the tree-vendor there had put down plywood to preserve the lawn.) When I mentioned to the SDS team they agreed to help me spread the soil and I then ordered 6 yards of topsoil instread of the original 3. I began the process immediately and they had 1-2 guys on-site the very next day to help. However they then said I needed to purchase at least another 6-8 yards and they would come back to help me if I would like. I did not call them to retun as the 5 year old lawn tractor I allowed them to use no longer moves forward and the timing of the expense of another topsoil delivery just before the holidays was not good. Summay: The price was great and the guys are nice but I really could not afford a penny over my budget. Now as the snow begins to melt I see a disaster of a lawn that will require 1000's in landscaping if a pay another contractor and maybe 1/2 that if I commit to do the work myself, the lawn tractor is currently at the shop and I am still hoping the sprinklers work when I turn them on in a couple months. So I will probaly end up paying 7K which is still a reasonable price just not what I thought. All that being said I would cautiously recommend them particarlly if you are more informed than I was. They are very polite, honest and they follow-up pretty well. In my perticular case if I insisted on plywood I think they would have done it and I believe this would be an overwhelming positive review.

Matt, the co-owner and a crew of 6 - 8 arrived about 9:00 (just about the earliest they could have started without committing a nuisance) and immediately set about sizing up the job. Because they weren't able to use their crane truck two of the trees had to be climbed and cut down in sections. In all, with the clean-up and chipping of the brushwood, the job took just over two hours and apart from the vacant spot in the sky where the trees used to grow and the stumps that were left, one would hardly have known that the tree service had been there at all. I had used SDS previously because of their high Angie's List rating and I re-engaged them because of the good job they did that first time. I now have no question that should I need any further tree work done in the future, my first call will be to SDS Tree and Stump Removal.

About a week before Thanksgiving, I called SDS Tree & Stump Removal regarding the removal of a limb overhanging the sidewalk and trimming some dead branches on another limb overhanging the house. Scott said he was booked for about 2 weeks and we agreed he could come by the first week in December and do the job. He gave me a very reasonable estimate. Then on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving my wife noticed a large crack at the base of the major limb overhanging the house. This limb, if it came down, would have caused major damage to the front of our home. I called SDS Tree & Stump Removal and asked Scott if he could take that limb down as soon as possible. He told me he would try to get there that day but if not then then the next day. I mentioned the other limb we had discussed and also that if those two limbs were removed there was not much left of the tree and that I wouldn't mind having the whole tree removed. But I told him if he did not have the time the only thing I needed right now was the removal of that limb overhanging the house. Scott called me back later that day and said he would not be able to make it that day but would be there the next day. I called him the next morning and left a message - he called back and said he would try to be there by 3:00pm. At 1:30 pm he called me (I was at work) and said he was at the house and could begin work. He said he could take down the limb over the house as well as the one over the sidewalk but as we had discussed it would not leave much of a tree. So he said he could take the tree down and asked if I would want the stump removed. I said yes and he told me he would do the tree and stump removal for $750. I agreed. I got home at 2:45 and the tree was completely removed and on two large trucks. I watched as the stump was ground up and the crew cleaned everything up. They were gone by 3:30pm. In 2 hours they had removed a very large old maple tree, ground up the stump and cleaned up the entire area. They had all the right equipment (crane, trucks, limb grinders, stump grinder, etc.), the crew was extremely friendly and worked very well together even though my job was their 5th that day and they had one more to do before going home. That Scott was able to rearrange his work schedule and fit me in speaks highly of his ability to manage things. They were all very professional, efficient, and the cost was extremely reasonable. I can not imagine this to have gone any better. I highly recommend SDS Tree & Stump Removal.

After several canscellations due to the weather,Scot finally got to come and take down 4 trees of which 3 of the four were dead. To make matters worse they had to climb,cut and hand carry out. Scott and his team did a very professional job, I'm truely Happy I choose them and would not hesitate to call upon them again. infact they will be the Only one i will in the future

Matt arrived on time to give the estimate, which was competitive. FYI, he may appear a bit rushed but he answered every question I had. They were able to do the job with just a couple week's lead time. The crew arrived on time, got right to work and were impressive to watch. I had to leave before the entire job was completed, but I had no qualms in doing so after watching them for a few hours. I had a few questions as the work progressed and the workers were informed and polite. Definitely worth the cost and I would use them again.

The team showed up on time and finished within a few hours. They did a great job and cleaned up well.
