It went wonderful. I cannot express my gratitude to Rich and his worker enough. Rich was so detailed oriented and included us each day to show & explain what he was doing & an extremely sweet man. Rich takes such pride in his work and it shows when the job was completed. Extremely neat, there was never a day when they did not clean up before they left. I am still amazed every time i go outside and also when i sit in the backyard with my family.( Being a corner house you do not have privacy now i do!!) He made that possible. You can see the wonderful work for yourself, the picture is on his website. Just wanted to end this with Rich thank you so very much & i know you will continue to have amazing success. If you need a fence guy Staten Island Fence is the ONLY way to go. You will NOT be disappointed one bit.

I needed my old fence on the perimeter of my property replaced with a vinyl fence. I interviewed various fence installers about the job. Richie gave me a competitive estimate. I decided to go with him because he provided me with an accurate assessment of the job, he noted details about the work that needed to be addressed like my neighbors attached fencing. Whenever, I called him, he was available to talk about the job. He impressed me as being an honest guy. He started the job as scheduled. He was flexible with the installation because of the paver work that was being done around the same time. He was involved in the job throughout. He cleaned up the debris. When the fence work was completed, it was beautifully done. I don't give that compliment away that easily because I'm very fussy about things. The job was perfect in all aspects, including alignment and details like fence accessories. I'm very happy with the decision to hire Richie. I would certainly hire him again and refer him to my family and friends without reservation.

My experience with Si fence was excellent. Rich is a perfectionist he keeps you involved during the whole job from start to finish. I also was very happy how clean he works while at my house. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a honest and perfect job.

Richard and his assistant did a great job fencing our yard. Myself and my husband couldn't be happier. The only one happier is our dog! The work was done flawlessly and both Richard and his assistant were courteous and respectful of our property and our time. Wholeheartedly recommend!

job went very well they were neat and professional they started around 9:30 am and were done around 1:30 the estimate was exactly what he quoted, which is the way it should be, I was satisfied with the job they performed , most contractors always try to nickel and dime you at the end of a job with bull s**t.... Rich was very professional from the start, he removed and replaced the driveway gates, as much use had caused them to sag. He offered good advice on completing the project. I am very pleased with the quality of the work, and what he and his assistant accomplished.

Everything went smoothly. He was punctual and when he couldn't be he either texted or called to keep me up to speed.

Extremely professional job from start to finish. Owner and his assistant are true masters of their trade. It was a large job with issues of uneven ground, raised tree roots, and other issues but this caused no problems and the results were outstanding. Owner did installation himself, continually measured and checked for quality throughout installation. He was always available for any questions, concerns and always prompt. Stunning job with nonstop compliments from passersby. Quality material used. We are planning to employ him for a fencing project in the backyard. He has an excellent eye for design and made some suggestions to our original plan and it all turned out beautifully. Compliments still continue! Pleasure to find an honest, talented and fair craftsman. Cost was similar to other estimates but we know we had quality installation compared to others.

I used my Angie's List subscription to help my daughter find a fencing contractor to put up driveway and rear stairwell gates to protect her infant twin boys. At the time she was frustrated by the lack of responsiveness from several contractors. Rich is a pleasure to deal with. I left a message for him during the day and he returned the call later that evening. He came to our house the next day to discuss what we wanted and signed the contract that day. He showed up on time, answered all of my (I'm sure) annoying questions (in person and on the phone the days I had to work) and made sure things were neatly stored at the end of each day. The fence looks great, he finished the work in 3 days as promised and we couldn't be happier. We have already recommended him to others. Thanks for a job well done!

Rich was very responsive, and came the same day I made the call. He gave me an estimate on the spot and had the work completed in two visits. I have a small section of a fence with a gate that was never operating properly and did not have a lock. While having some other work done, had the gate post removed and called Rich for an estimate after a few others gave me extremely high prices and seemed like they weren't interested. Rich reused the original gate, installed a new post, lock, and reused original hinges. he also leveled off the fence post to be even with the rest of the fence. He was fast and the job was done cleanly. A pleasure to deal with and a neighbor already used his services as well, and planning on recommending him to others who are interested in this type of work. one happy customer.

Sections of my old wooden stockade fence were blown down by Hurricane Sandy and other sections dry-rotted. I have spoken with and sat down with three other fence companies (all with good reviews on Angie's List) before deciding to go with Staten Island Fence. I made this choice because Richard, the owner was the one who was most able to address my concerns/ questions and after explaining the process to me, was the one who would take the extra step and take due diligence to secure the sturdiness of the fence. Richard also asked for a copy of the property survey to ensure that the new fence will actually be within my property line. It is because of him that I discovered errors done by my land surveyor wherein almost two feet of property was missing. Now, this makes a big difference when you have a small lot. Richard went above and beyond to talk with the surveyor. The surveyor had to come back to re-measure the property and correct the mistake. The PVC fence when it was finally installed is absolutely beautiful. It is even at the top and has totally changed the look of the yard for the better. He also installed a gate which I could lock from either the inside or outside with a key for more security. The quality of the fence material is significantly better than the ones I've seen as they are thicker and heavier in gauge. His attention to detail is clearly visible and his workmanship superb, bar none. I will be the first to admit that I am a little nitpicky when it comes to small details but I am extremely pleased with the way my fence came out. I would highly recommend Staten Island Fence.

Project was executed in a timely fashion, good quality work, no surprises. The fence looks great, perfectly erected, straight and level.

It went as smoothly as it possibly could. Richie is a true professional. He came to us at every point where a decision needed to be made. He clarified the options and patiently waited while we worked out our preferences. The fence is absolutely beautiful. He started by removing the old fence (which he took away so we didn't have to worry about it). He cut down the metal post bottoms which had been left behind. He helped us to custom design the look of our fence and cut the posts to our specifications. He told us when he thought our design choices wouldn't work out. We followed his advice and were very pleased with the result. He also custom made a lattice fence for the driveway which is a very nice quality. We had spoken with other fence companies about this and they intended to put a cheap lattice from Home Depot or Lowe's in there - and told us it wouldn't last. Coming through hurricane Sandy we've had to renovate 3 houses. Dealing with all of the contractors has been a nightmare (no one is on time, under budget and doing quality work). That led us to Angie's List, to try and find someone with a solid reputation. Richie did not let us down in any way. He is the best we've worked with so far. We can not recommend him enough.

They were very professional. The customer service was excellent. The owner was personable. He came to the house and measured and answered all of my questions. Their price was also the best out of the companies I looked into.

First, the area to receive the fence had to be prepped. This entailed removing about 90 feet of dried and decayed 6 ft. x 8 ft stockade fence panels. In addition to the old fence, for whatever reason, a prior owner left about three feet between my fence and my neighbors. This area Richard and his associate cleared off whatever foliage had grown wild over the years. He felt It would interfere with the installation of the new fence. This included cutting down numerous large weed trees that had grown wild in the three foot space that was left unused between the two properties. Additionally, over the years, in this channel between mine and my neighbors house was a wide array of paraphernalia, spanning the decades from the time that the now defunct stockade fence was installed. Richard and his associate cleared the ground for the new fence. By the time they had cleared this channel there was a huge mound of wood, stones, dirt, etc. When they were done, the area was pristine. Richard and his partner seemed to work constantly and tirelessly until it was necessary for them to leave and let the cement that anchored the posts harden. The following day they returned and again worked with the same enthusiasm and vigor. It was rare pleasure to have had this job accomplished by a real craftsman. When it was all done, nearly 100 feet of brand new perfectly straight PVC fence was installed.

Richie came on 7/27/13 and tore out the old gate and posts. Installed the post and fence and let the cement set properly before installing the gate today. Very pleasant experience returning all calls promptly and answering all my questions.

Richie and staff were very professional, hard working and cleaned up after installation. After getting additional estimates his was the best price. Richie also took the time to follow up to see if I had any additional questions. He also kept in touch after days of rain when he thought he would not be able to keep my appointment. Turns out he had a cancellation and started the job sooner than the original date. I am very happy with the job that was completed and I would definitely use S.I. Fencing again.

I found Staten Island Fence & Landscaping here on Angies List and decided to give them a try. I couldnt be happier with the service, product, and professionalism. My initial call was returned promptly, and a date to come out and look at what I wanted was set up. Richie arrived right on time and gave a me a detailed description of what he thought would work best. It wasnt a big job, but he took his time going over all the little details the task would entail. He showed up to do the job with one of his employees and got right to work. I was actually watching them work as I was taking care of other things and I could see they were doing a thorough job. They weighted down each of the hollow posts with concrete, and level the fence of nicely. When he was done putting up the main fence, he came back three days later to hang the door. He said he waited the three days so the concrete could harden, saying this would prevent the weight of the door from shifting the fence. He had an eye for detail, and I could tell he's done this before. id gladly recommend this company to friends, neighbors, and family. Great job.
