Description of Work: They gave me an estimate n on the bottom of the estimate was written if an item is not listed it will be an additional charge. Meanwhile I called them on it (had to do with getting permits) n they said they get them. Still according to their contract it wasn't written anywhere. They also never mentioned Con Ed wouldn't let us use electrical from the back thus an unexpected added expense. Then u tell them you are not using them and they sent at least 4 emails to follow-up.

Description of Work: These guys are awesome. This is actually their 2nd job with me and it was no easy task. Roger would give me a no nonsense estimate and how long it will take and they delivered, even with 1 crew member getting sick and another getting hurt. They even patched and cleaned up after themselves which was greatly appreciated. I know that each time they are professional, courteous and the job will be done right. Thank you

Description of Work: Installed 220V 50 amp service in garage. Well worth the cos. Roger was most responsive and professional and really stood by his work. When the 220 service went out 5-6 months later due to faulty circuit breaker, Roger came out the next day and replaced what was apparently a defective circuit breaker without questions or additional charges.

Description of Work: Roger re-wired some old wiring in my mother's 100+ year old house. He upgraded the panel box, installed upgraded outlets to handle greater loads (ac, microwave, stove, etc.). He also installed new light fixtures as well as some new outlets and plates. His work is excellent, especially relative to older buildings. He is very knowledgable and I will be using him again.

Description of Work: Replaced outdoor electric boxes, secured cam in kitchen ceiling, shut off old fixture in attic, and secured BX cable in attic. I am very pleased with the service after waiting 2 months for another electrician to come to the house.

Description of Work: Roger and his assistant replaced an attic fan (original had a burned out motor), rewired some outlets and replaced the master bathroom fan. All work was properly done at a fair price. Roger found some problems with work that had been done by the prior property owner. I would highly recommend his services.

Description of Work: replaced electric panels for the whole house; also performed a second job (April 7,8,9) in our house adding a second panel on the rental apartment and added 6 new electric lines, new bells for both apartments and wired smile-carbon monoxide alarm for the tenant's apartment, for $5875.

Description of Work: Roger De came out and quickly figured out the electrical problems we were having were to do with the power supply coming into the building. He called Con Ed for us and got us on their emergency repair schedule. He even told us how to ask Con Ed to reimburse us for his fee. Would definitely hire him again!

Description of Work: Roger De Electric was very professional. They could not fix my issue, but they did not charge me for the visit, which came at a major surprise. They provided a referral (which ended up not working out), but they did the best they could and treated me like a person, not a job. Would use their services for other work.

Description of Work: Roger stated that he would be arriving the day of the appointment between 08:00 and 08:30. He and his assistant showed up at 08:00. They came to fix a remote controlled ceiling fan/light in the living room that wasn't working(I assumed it wasn't getting any electricity as it is a fairly new fan and the light wasn't working as well). After checking the wiring and disassembling the fan it was discovered that the remote control module in the fan burnt out. It was originally installed with a dimmer and Roger said that should never be done with a remote controlled fan as the dimmer takes away power from the fan. Roger got a universal remote kit from his truck but it didn't fit the fan. He called a local lighting place several times to see if he could get a replacement kit but they never answered the phone. Roger suggested I try to order a replacement and meanwhile he would reinstall the fan and I would just have to switch it on manually. He would come back and install the remote whenever I got it. His assistant then replaced a faulty switchbox in the upstairs master bath. Roger then asked his assistant to examine the circuit box and tighten all connections. Behind that on the outside of the garage is the electrical meter. Roger noticed that the O ring positioned at the bottom of the meter was loose. He asked his assistant to tighten it and lock it it in place with a screw. I did not ask Roger to work on the circuit box or the meter, he just took it upon himself to do. This is a sign of true professionalism. I would recommend him wholeheartedly to any of my relatives and friends and will use him in the future when needed.

Description of Work: Roger is a gentleman and a good soul. He went above and beyond what I had expected the two times I needed an estimate for insurance claims after my house was flooded by hurricane Sandy last year. I would highly consider him for when the time comes to repair my home and I would as well recommend him to anyone who is looking for an electrician.

Description of Work: My electric box came away from my house. It had to be reinstalled. The job was done very neatly. They had to drill through my concrete house. When it was completed you couldn't tell from the inside anything had been done.
