Roger and his crew did a fantastic job - this was actually the third person I had called to come out after the first two failed to return our calls (the other two names were given to us by neighbors). The estimate was lower, they were able to come out sooner and they were incredibly nice and courteous throughout the process. Everything was done in less than two hours and they cleaned everything up before leaving. I will definitely call again with our next project.

I needed an electrician to come in to fix a lot of the shoddy and old wiring that existed in the house I recently purchased. At the same time, I was planning on re-doing my kitchen and wanted to install a ductless air conditioner that went to two separate rooms. An appointment with Roger was made take a look at the house and provide an estimate for all the various electrical projects. Roger arrived promptly for the appointment and took a thorough look at the house. He was very professional and cordial during the appointment. I received a call from him with an estimate and we decided to move forward on all the work except for the air conditioning project since that was way over my current budget. The project was slated to be completed on three separate days due to the kitchen cabinet installation. They worked around my schedule and promptly showed up for all three appointments (one was during the heat wave and I did not have any air conditioning in the house). They did a professional job on all the projects and I will use them in the future to do the air conditioning project. I cannot tell you how impressed I was with their professionalism. They were the only contractor I used for my various home improvement projects with whom I did not have a single complaint.

After an initial visit for an estimate a date was set for the job. An opportunity came about a day before the agreed work date and Roger called to ask if the work could be done a day earlier. We agreed and he came by in the early afternoon with two helpers. The crew of three worked quickly and professionally to complete the light and breaker installation in about two hours. They cleaned up after themselves and we are very pleased with both the experience and outcome.

After waiting all day for another electrician who kept telling us that we were the next one to be served and then telling us that he had left for the day, we decided to find another electrician. We chose Roger De Electric based on the recommendations on Angies list. We were not disappointed. They appeared promptly at the scheduled time. They had all the parts needed for the job on the truck. They were meticulous in making sure the panel worked properly. I would highly recommend them.

Rodger came exactly at appointed time. He was very proficent and very courteous. He was done with the job in about an hour. He offered a discount for Angies List. We would recommend Rodger to our freinds.

Instead of running a new line to the switchbox (what I had anticipated), Roger had an ingenious idea of converting the switch to a switch plus GFCI outlet (I didn't even know you could do that!) This was really a wonderful solution and saved us a lot of time, expense and headache- thank you ROGER! I wasn't present the day of the job, but my husband supervised. When I came home that evening I noticed a small but noticeable nick in the faceplate. I sent Roger and email about it and he promptly offered to replace the faceplate and rather than just send it to us in the mail, he offered to come and install it himself. He made himself available on a holiday, but we didn't want to put him out so he came on our next available day to install it. Stellar service- I wish all contractors had his integrity.

After reading the reviews on Angies list, we decided to call Roger to install 5 lights above large paintings in our home. This was not a simple job and required detail, precision and patience. It was a full day of work. The lighting needed to have wires hidden behind the walls, switches and outlets create/moved, as well as walls to be opened and repaired to achieve a neat and clean look. From the beginning, Roger was very responsive, organized and professional. You can tell he has A LOT of pride in his craft and with his clients. He came into our home with two other guys----with a plan. One guy to assist, another to clean and Roger to do the surgery. (: Quite systematic and ultimately efficient. Since we didn't exactly buy the right lights, Roger was able to rig them to make them work perfectly. He is not the type of service provider to bring problems to an owners attention without suggested solutions. This is a rarity, as I am the type of client that strongly dislikes those that simply identify problems. Solution focused professionals are god sent. Roger is this sort of guy. I felt trust from the moment he came in to give me an estimate...simply by the way he returned his calls, communicated the game plan and respected my home and my time. This experience was worth every penny in a city and time where most people start at a place of distrust. Thank you Roger!

Roger and his crew are fabulous. I could not be more thrilled with not only the workmanship but with the overall professionalism of the company. I'm a 3rd generation electrical contractor. My specialty is overhead steel tower lines and large (around $1B power plants) my saving grace is that I am smart enough to NOT try to do my own electrical work at home. I am also a Professor at Columbia University in the Graduate School teaching Construction Management and Administration. Roger De Electric is the type of firm I like to use as an example for my students. I'll save the long winded dialogue and summarize: The response was prompt to my initial call - Roger appear in person to look at the project. The estimate was detailed, in writing (typed) and easy to interpret. The quotation was provided promptly and there was no hesitation when I asked for a certificate of insurance. NOTE: If you are not from NYC . . . you need to know this is NOT typical. I've had a host of folks tell me "You really don't need insurance and they typically want paid in cash or a check made out to cash. Red flags to me. Roger handled all the permits and the coordination with ConEd, the local power provider. They were excellent about coordinating the work with my schedule. They arrived on time, well equipped and Roger, the electrician he brought, and the helper were highly skilled. From the moment they arrived, until the electricity was turned back on, things went like clockwork. The little "surprises" along the way were taken in stride. The finished work, in all candor, looks like art. Be mindful, my crews wire power plant switchgear to the highest standards . . . I'm picky. Ditto for the hole they had to put in an upstairs bedroom. They carefully moved furniture aside, cut the holes they needed to, did an excellent job of installing their work, re-plastered the wall (if you didn't know there was a hole in it 30 minutes ago you'd never be able to tell) and cleaned up perfectly. As they worked, their helper (when he wasn't handing the electricians parts) was constantly cleaning up. The place was immaculate during and upon completion of the work. They used the top of the line materials. The site was left spotless with a NYC permit hanging on the box waiting for the Electrical Inspector. Doesn't get any better. Great experience and, as we set out on a major renovation of a 108 year old historic home in NYC, I look forward to having the team from Roger De Electric back. We had an old cloth covered line running from our basement to the third floor bedroom that we were remodeling ourselves. the line had a nick in it and sparked up. We emailed Roger from angie's list; within minutes received a phone call from him. He said maybe his schecdule would allow him to stop by our house after another job that evening, said he would call me later to confirm. He called apologizing for not having the time since his other job was not finished. So, we arranged for him to come the next morning. He called us in the morning and within fifteen minutes he was at our house to review our situationn. We explained our desire to have the line replaced from the panel without making any holes in our downstairs neighbors apartment. Our house is a 1920's frame house, thus, Roger said that he would make his best attempt at snaking the line from the basement up to 3rd floor directly but could not guarantee that there would be no obstacles in the way. He gave us an estimate of around 600 for this work. He also recommended that because of the remodeling that we were doing that we should have a dedicated ac line in the bedroom but would have to reallocate circuits from breaker to do this and of course that would cost more. Because of the glaring reports from anigie's list, a recommendation from our neighbor and our own feeling after meeting him, We decided to hire him. We discussed scheduling and determined that since he was busy in the upcomming days and we both had time available that same day, it was best if he got right to work. He assured me he could get it done in one day. He and his crew got right to it. They patientely snaked the lines up from the basement having to make several attempts because of our house's old construction. They did not have to make one hole. They put in 4 new circuit breakers in the panel. When the work was done Roger reviewed averything with us. Roger also noted that we had some lines in the basement that needed attention because they were unsafe(Unsecured or old). We discussed this for future work. The work all got done in the same day. I would definately recommend Roger.

I used them a couple times. They are very nice and come with their truck all prepared. They are very also clean. I used them specifically for the electrical work on the outside lights.

Great; Roger is very reliable, trustworthy and professional, and we would definitely use him again. We have not yet had the inspection, but I do not anticipate any problems with it.

This was a real challenge for any electrical contractor and I was faced with huge costs and repair work. Roger and Joe were determined to solve the problems while minimizing damage to the my brand new walls. They ingeniously figured a way to completely fix the problem without making a single hole in my walls. This required complex and determined work and I was very impressed how these guys never lost their patience and persistence. After hours of dealing with obstacles and working late into the evening they were successful in completely fixing the problem. As always they were neat and clean. After all this they gave me a really fair price. Roger and Joe are just very good people who treat their customers like their own. - how can you go wrong with these guys!! P.S. I think Roger and Joe actually like a challenge that tests their skills and ingenuity.

All went better than expected. Roger and his staff are reliable (shows up exactly on time every day), friendly, courteous and professional. I was very impressed with quality of work and neatness: they always cleaned up after themselves and did not leave any unsightly holes or unpatched work. I called Roger De for a relatively small job after seeing the company's excellent reviews on Angie's List. I left a message; my call was returned within 10 minutes (more like 5). I explained the problem; they happened to be in the neighborhood finishing up another job with a lag before the next one, and were able to come over right then. The gentlemen, Roger and Joe, were extremely punctual and polite, introduced themselves, arrived in uniform, and wiped their feet before entering. They explained what they were going to do, and then explained what they were seeing each step of the way. They presented options and recommendations, completed the work promptly, and charged a reasonable rate. I highly recommend them and will definitely be using them again.
