I can't begin to say enough about Roger Electric. I was originally waiting for an available appointment and left my information when I called. I awake this morning to a hissing sound coming from the electric panel. Well, needless to say, I was very concerned. I called Roger Electric to see if they could possibly come to check it out. They took my number and called back withn 15 minutes, telling me that someone would be able to come within the hour. WOW! When Roger arrived he not only took care of the main conern but he completed all the other jobs that I had wanted done. He was professional and really took pride in his work. He didn't rush through like so many others. What a wonderful surprise! It is rare to find such help and I am so appreciative to Roger and Angies list.. I find comfort now in knowing that I have a trusted electrician to call whenever I need. They may be very busy, but well worth the wait. Thank you Roger!

Due to a snow storm, all of a sudden my water pump in the drainage well stopped working. At the point, it was not clear whether it was an electrical issue or a defective pump. I called Roger and explained the issue on the phone. Same afternoon, Roger prioritized my issue and was on site with his team. Very professional, courteous and punctual. Many times, Roger explained the electrical issues in a layman terms that helped me understand it well. I will use Roger De Electric again, if and when a need arises.

After reading all the reviews on Roger De Electric Co., I called and ended up leaving a message , a short time later Jennifer called and I explained to her that I was without heat because the transformer in the Argo Relay Panel had burnt out. She said she would reach out to Roger and Call me back. A short while later she called back and said that Roger and Jay would be at my place within 45 minutes. When they arrived I explained to them that my pipe had burst and that water had spread it's way down to my electrical panel, they went to check it out to make sure no damage was done to the box and dried it out. Next we went into the boiler room where I explained to them that I had to shut down the boiler because I saw smoke coming from the Argo panel. Roger was very thorough in checking things out in the Argo panel, he took out the transformer and replaced it with a new one and then I had heat again (yeah) He made sure that everything was working right with the boiler and he noticed that there was a slight problem with one of the zones. The problem was with my thermostat, when he took it off the wall there was a burn mark on it, so he was able to replace it for me. I cannot say enough about this company, They were very efficient and thorough in checking and changing what needed to be changed. This is the type of company that you can depend upon. They were all very courteous and professional starting with Jennifer to Roger and Jay. I will always use this company for all my electrical needs.

I cannot say enough about the excellent job done by Roger De Electric Co. From Jennifer, the office manager, who returned my calls promptly to Jay and Joe, the electricians who assisted Roger, who worked tirelessly to complete the job, everything was done in a professional manner led by Roger, the owner. He was on time, explained everything, had solutions for the unforeseen problems that occur when dealing with an old home, charged me a very fair price, and left my home neat and, above all, safe. Now, I can rest easy while enjoying all the new conveniences that they provided. I highly recommend them and give them an A+ rating.

Replaced two light fixtures indoor and outdoor. I supplied the fixtures.

1) Inspected the existing electrics in the house. 2) Described the process required by the City. 3) Submitted a detailed estimate of work to be done plus costs. 4) File papers with the City describing the job and obtained necessary permits. 5) Punctually started the job with enough workers that it could be done in one day. 6) Finished on time, and led us through a demo of what had changed and where it was done, including instructions for use. 7) Charged exactly the estimate.

Roger and his assistant arrived exactly at 8am. They were here at 8am and left at 8:30. They went to cellar and located the problem and charged for a service call. They were very polite and pleasant along with identifying the problem and resolving it. I also received 10% discount from Angie's list. Would highly recommend Roger de electric.

Checked out electric in bathroom, changed both switches and ,made sure exhaust fan and lighting was working properly then checked and tightened all circuit breakers for apt and main house. They were very thorough and professional. I would highly recommend them for anyone needing electrical work, and if the need arises would definitely use them again.

Took a long time [6 months] to get done due to a variety of reasons including NYC regulations. Need an architect to draw it up, submit to city for pre-approval. Then needed a plumber to run a new, larger gas line. Then needed a concrete pad poured plus landscaper to repair 100' long trench in yard. Still need final inspection from city for gas line installation & architect to get final inspection. Job is completed & has been tested but some final inspections still linger. Nice clean installation.

After some initial scheduling complications on both parts, Roger came with an additional two staff members. They were prompt and efficient. There were numerous challenges due to the previous owners electrical work, but Roger solved all issues. The job involved changing the location of ceiling boxes and pulling wiring through from old boxes to new. This was done with an impressive minimum of damage to the ceiling and walls, and any breaks made were neatly and carefully plastered. I found Roger to be responsive and professional throughout. The job came in exactly on target, even though he had to do extra work in one room due to messed up wiring. The price above included an additional charge of $150 to add my coop building management company as an additional insured. I would definitely work with him again.

Roger and his assistant arrived on time. They were careful, knowledgeable and courteous. They respected my home. They explained what they were going to do, made suggestions, went over the pros and cons. They were not just "doing a job." they were more like craftsmen who took pride in their work. I would hire them and recommend them in a heartbeat.

I looked for another electrician.

Roger and his associate arrived promptly for the appointment. They replaced a non-functioning light fixture with a new fixture and checked the wiring also. They also checked a socket that was not functioning on another fixture. They did an excellent job and worked quickly, neatly and professionally. I had used the company previously, and I will continue to do so.

Roger De Candia, of Roger De Electric is simply one of the best contractors in any field I have ever worked with! He showed incredibly high professionalism and incomparable expertise, handling everything thrown at him, including some surprises, with exceptional competence and skill, and with the best grace and amiability, a pleasure to work with and know. Roger and his staff - we met both Joe and Jay, both great - were always on time and extremely courteous, and Roger on several occasions shared his knowledge, and especially some tips and tricks with us, that in fact proved invaluable advice - and I note it turned out his advice was right even when the manufacturer gave us what turned out to be false information, as we later learned. Not only did he respond to every request and demand pleasantly and absolutely expertly, but on more than one occasion, he went far beyond what was required and provided additional top-notch service fore problems outside the original scope of our specifications. In everything his honesty and integrity could be seen, as well as his commitment to providing the best for the customer, by listening, respecting and then delivering precisely what we wanted. All told, every interaction with him, with his staff, and with his office, was a pleasure and a learning experience; all communication was answered promptly, and he went beyond the call of duty in accommodating our change of dates and several unexpected developments, all resolved superbly. I can honestly say that for the excellent work he did and world-class service he delivered, his prices were a bargain, a rarity in dealing with contractors today! It simply doesn't get any better than this! And I cannot more strongly recommend any contractor I have ever dealt with!

Provider advised that he is not available for the next 1.5 month. I guess provider do not want give advertisement discount for Angie's List member.

Roger De was my first choice because of his high rating on Angie's list. He bid our job and scheduled it on short notice - which was a great help to us. He actually exceeded my expectations - His bid was more than fair, he and his men arrived on time for the job and were courteous and professional, did the work it faster than I expected with minimal damage to the walls, and actually repaired some of the walls even though this was not in the scope of work. They had to work around cabinets we had recently installed, which they did without any damage to the woodwork. Roger called afterward to make sure we were happy with the work, and we are. I would enthusiastically recommend Roger De to anyone needing electrical work.

The first step was to locate a reputable electrician from "Angie's List". Roger De Electric had great reviews and they were local. We had to wait several weeks to get an appointment, and Roger apologized by giving us an additional discount as a first time / Angie's List user. The agent readily shared his knowledge concerning our project. I really appreciated his offering options to complete the project immediately. My home is over 100 years old and was initially lighted by gas lamps, this required him to adapt the lighting fixtures. I thought he was going to say I'll have to come back, but instead he said that if I didn't mind the two tone appearance the cuff created I could use my existing fixture. The third part of the project was repairing an old chime bell. The first attempt didn't work, the chime was delayed and repeated. He and his apprentice went about solving the mystery of the bell. I readily recommend this company and look forward to future projects.

I am very grateful to Roger De for his quick response and advice to pursue the cost-free option first. He was very helpful in explaining what the problem might be and very knowledgeable. He clearly puts the customer first. I would definitely contact him for any electrical issues I might have in the future, and recommend others to do the same.

I first contacted Roger De Electric based upon the good reviews I read about the company on Angie's List. I recently purchased my home and was faced with a puzzling issue where the lights on the first floor - in my kitchen, living room, dining room and bathroom - would flicker and dim when using a coffee maker in the kitchen or when turning on the garage lights . Also, the electrical panel was at maximum capacity with no room for additional circuit breakers. I called Roger De Electric to find out if the company would come out to diagnose the problem and offer a free estimate. After leaving a message with Jennifer, she called me back promptly to schedule an appointment with Roger. On the day of the appointment, Roger arrived promptly at the scheduled time. He spent about an hour discussing the issues and limitations he saw with my electrical panel, and doing some "detective work" to pinpoint the flickering light issue - which turned out to be a "bad neutral" that existed in the wiring. He also showed me some incorrect wiring among the 'rat's nest' of wires in the panel and incorrectly sized circuit breaker for my central air conditioning unit. After providing me with an estimate, I hired Roger De Electric to replace the main circuit breaker panel as a first step. We agreed that he would first replace the panel, which he estimated would take a day of work, and then tackle the issue if the flickering lights during a second visit, after the panel was installed. Immediately after getting the job, Roger coordinated with Con Ed to have them unlock the meter, and got a permit from NYC DOB. I cannot say enough good things about how smoothly the installation went. He and his crew arrived promptly, and began the installation of the panel in my garage. Roger and his team answered all of my questions as I stood by watching them expertly perform their craft. The install was neat, and they cleaned up after themselves each step of the way. After installation, his crew walked though my home and in my backyard, identified where each outlet terminated in the circuit panel, and labeled it in the panel. After finishing up in a few hours, Roger and his crew then began working on the issue of the flickering and dimming lights. Moving from room to room, they removed each of the light switch face plates and identified poor connections in almost every one. After ensuring good connections on each of the light switches and outlets, Roger pinpointed the issue as coming from an incorrectly wired electrical outlet in the garage ceiling. He replaced the outlet, corrected the wiring, which corrected the issue! Since he and his team finished all of the panel work and ended up solving the wiring problems during the first visit, there was no need to schedule, and pay for, a second visit. After such a pleasant experience, I plan to hire Roger again to install high hats in my living room. I've already mentioned his great work to a number of friends looking for a reliable and competent electrician.

Roger De electric was punctual with the estimate and the installation. Roger was very knowledgeable about the mini split AC that I wanted to install in my basement. Roger also provided the 220v electric to the unit since he is a licensed electrician.(BEWARE other AC companies outsource there electrician or perform their own unlicenced electrical work. I have heard of some horror stories). Work that was performed was very neat and clean. I will be using Roger to do any additional work in my home and would recommend him.

I feel like i found an electrician in Roger De's that I will use for a long time. We knew that we needed to replace some old electrical panels in a house that we had just bought and I was anxious about the job. From the engineer to other electricians that we had look at it we knew it was going to have to happen. One guy came in and gave an assessment of the job that seemed to spiral into other entirely unrelated things. It was a tricky job because of the space down there where the panels could go etc. Roger came in, gave an honest and no frills assessment that matched or undercut the estimates that we got and he really seemed to know what he was talking about. So we had him do the job. The problem was that he was pretty booked. Because of how he was when he came and the reviews that he received here, we wanted him to do the job. So we scheduled him in. He said that if there was a cancellation or opening he would do his best to get us in because he knew I was anxious about the job and it was only a one day job anyway. He kept me appraised of his progress in actually finding the panels that would fit, and when he did have an opening, a few weeks early, his office called to schedule. The scheduling and communication were very professional, a relief if you've worked with others. When they got here, they went right to work. He gave me an overview of what they would do. When it came to running the new lines, he was very mindful of minimizing any damage. He also gave an overall assessment of the wiring of the house. The job took a full day, but we were extremely happy with the results and with the price. At one point he even noticed a light in the hallway that didn't have a switch to it (again, we just moved in and that was perplexing and annoying to us as well). So he had one of his guys add a pull chain to the fixture. They were already done with the major job, but he just did that anyway. Extremely competent, pleasant to deal with and professional. Can't rate them highly enough.
