Extremely prompt. I didn't feel like I was price gouged. Roger was very conscientious of my time and money (R: "I'll do it all in one visit. I don't want to charge you for two separate visits" My response, "Are you sure? I don't want to pressure or compromise the quality of the work if you feel pressured to do it all in one visit. R: "Regardless of how few visits it takes, no matter what, I'll do a first rate job. Don't worry about that.") As a very busy stay at home Mom, I appreciated Roger being patient with me while working in the house while I managed two young children. Not easy getting interrupted, distracted by my young kids and also at the same time directing the electrician towards all the things I need fixed in the house. Because of the distraction, after all the work was done, I had an additional naive basic question after Roger left the house. I called his answering service and Roger immediately called me back in a few minutes. Roger was very patient and understanding in answering my additional question. To me this is crucial. Polite, courteous, clear communication, respectful. I like that! I feel completely comfortable communicating any question/issue, no matter how basic the question with Roger. Every basic question was treated with dignity and respect. I felt completely heard and understood. The service was complete. 100% satisfied. We had Roger do an additional job on the house thereafter and I appreciated his following up from a previous job he did, "How is the backyard light now? Still any problems?" No problems! His work is solid!

For more than an hour, Roger did all the troubleshooting he could by checking the outlets in several rooms, as well as the hallway, and the circuit breaker panels. At each location, on each floor, he shared information -- without prompting -- such as why he determined a particular outlet must be the cause of the power failure in the 2 rooms (he was correct). After Roger found that the hallway outlet that was the source of power loss, he opened up the outlet and indicated the faulty wiring that had created the burnt-out inside section of the outlet. The wires inside were not only loose, but the outlet itself had been weakly packed. He needed to change the wires, re-install a socket, and pack it to keep it tight, before covering it with the outlet plate. He then plastered that hallway socket, and did the same for the wall fixture which connected to the ceiling fan and ceiling light in a different room (making sure to clean up and leave every area neat). Naturally, the ceiling fan as well as the light worked immediately after he finished, just as he had predicted! After re-aligning those bad connections correctly, and refastening the 2 boxes, Roger checked the basement circuit breaker and did a walk-through, showing where the main ground wire was, and pointing out where 2 faulty wires were hanging. I have full accolades for his work and professionalism! He was thorough and generous with his knowledge; his work was impeccable -- excellent evidence of pride of superb workmanship, skill, and craft.

He was punctual and professional and completed the work quickly, thoroughly and neatly--an overall pleasant experience.

This company fixed the two way light switch in two hours , what a previous electrical company could not accomplish in the two days they came. Would recommend this company highly.

I highly recommend Roger De Electric. I was so impressed with his professionalism and the quality of his work. Although the day he came, the weather was extremely hot, he took his time and did a thorough job. He was meticulous and checked everything thoroughly to ensure the electrical safety of my home. He and his co-worker even took the time to label every single circuit breaker for me so that I would know what each circuit breaker controls. It is obvious that Roger takes pride in his work and gives outstanding, quality service. I felt his price was reasonable for the services that he provided and I would definitely use Roger again. He truly represents the ideal of what a contractor should be.

Over the weekend a bad smell started coming from the bathroom light fixture. I messaged Roger through Angie's list and he answered quickly. Although he is booked up well in advance, he gave me the first appointment of the next business day because he was concerned for my safety. He arrived promptly and took down the fixture and I saw that the back of the fixture and the wall had scorch marks. The fixture had been improperly wired and grounded by the previous owner of my home, and Roger got shocked. Power was running constantly to the fixture even when the light switch was turned off, and even the wire nuts were scorched and cracked. Roger fixed the multiple issues and hung my new light fixture. Then he took the face plate off the wall switch and checked the wiring behind the wall switch. I was horrified when a spark flew out. Roger diagnosed and fixed the problem. Lastly he checked above the drop ceiling and put a cap on a electrical wiring box. He thoroughly checked for all electrical hazards in the bathroom. He was completely prepared and had with him all the equipment and supplies needed. There were multiple safety hazards in that bathroom thanks to the previous owner who tried to do his own electrical work. I have peace of mind after Roger's visit. I am so appreciative that he recognized the risk and moved my appointment to the top of his list. He probably saved me from a house fire. Note that an actual electrician came to do the work. The company didn't send non-electricians to do the work. I was 100% satisfied with his work and recommend this company highly.

Roger was very easy to contact through Angie's List messaging and later through email, provided excellent, punctual service, and was very reasonably priced. I would recommend him without any hesitation.

He came and looked at the 2nd floor of my home and looked at my electrical box. He told me what was needed to be done to do the rewiring up to code. He said to give him a 2 days to write up an estimate. He never called or emailed me the estimate. I called his office and told the secretary that I have yet to receive my estimate for the work. She took my address, name and number and said he would get back to me as soon as possible. No call, no estimate still. Called once again and to no avail once again. I gave up. If he did not want to do the job then he could of just said so and not waste my time. He seemed professional when he arrived for the estimate but professionalism he did not practice.

The project went great. The cost seemed pricey, but the quality of the work and the confidence we have in the workmanship made it all worthwhile. The company is family owned and operated and Roger--the son--lead the work. The crew was courteous, punctual and tidy. The work was done in a timely fashion with all proper permits filed. We had some delays with Con Ed inspections--but that's on Con-Ed. This is the kind of crew that--after they make a hole to pull wire--they clean up and patch. AND the plaster patch is actually decent, requiring only a brief once over. AND the area where the work was done is clean. We inherited a plaster patch from Vigilante Plumbing when we bought the house that looked like a cancerous goiter. I'm not joking. Our new breaker panel looks so tidy--painted plywood backer and all right angles on the cables feeding in--that you would think they were prepping for a "This Old House" episode. Thanks Roger and crew, we will definitely hire you guys again.

When we selected Roger, he was already working on a big job, my guess is that this is typical since his work is so stellar and his prices so reasonable. Even so he fit us in, calling a couple of days in advance to say when he would come to do the work. He arrived, and finished in one day. The new panel is secure, all the electrical service is terrific, and it was turned off only for a brief time during his work ( others had recommended two days without power). In addition, he replaced a bad fuse, but did not charge even one dime more than his estimate. Cannot recommend Roger de Electric highly enough! A real professional, with, I might add, his own license. This is important because unlicensed electricians have to borrow the license from another, and consequently pay them a fee, which is passed on to the customer. And if something goes wrong, you will have a devil of a time trying to reach the licensee.

Roger is extremely professional and has fixed a number of electrical issues in the past few months. They are very quick to respond to calls and emails, they show up on time, and they do really great work at a fair price. Highly recommended.

They came and explained their actions every step off the way. Punctual and professional well mannered. They went out of their way to accommodate my limited availability. And their in office staff was a pleasure to speak to and deal with. Will definitely use them again in the future.

Roger and his team at Roger De Electric are true professionals from start to finish. They arrived on time and were excellent in their performance in every instance: estimating, working and following-up, including being there on separate days for the inspections by Con Ed and NYC of the newly installed circuit breakers. Roger is very easy to work with, and he's knowledgeable, candid and credible. I'm delighted with the work he and his team accomplished and he's the first electrician I will call for any electrical work in the future.

Overall a great experience. Open and honest communication, on time, did the job as agreed, troubleshooted, made things work. Very neat tight job? What more can you ask for! Roger was very honest, very fairly priced and a pleasure to deal with.

I called Roger and his secretary called the next morning. I'd mentioned that there is no rush and the job. His secretary kept in touch with me as Roger was busy with many other jobs, but made sure to let me know his status. She assured me that Roger will either email or call me by the evening. Without fail, by the afternoon, I had an email from Roger asking the details of the job and photographs of the fixtures so he can make sure he had the right tools for the job. I wrote back my availability and and sent over my photos. He responded the day after to schedule a day and the rough pricing of the job with a discount! The day of the job, Roger called me an hour before the appointment to let me know that he will be there with his assistant. They were polite, very clearly knowledgeable without being condescending (i normally feel like alot of contractors try to dazzle you with jargon, but this definitely was not Roger and his co-worker), and quick with their repairs. At the end of the job, he told me that in the future if I had an emergency please let his secretary know and they'd be over quickly to do fix what we needed. I look forward to using Roger in the future.

Roger and his 2 workmen were punctual, arriving between 8-8:30a.m. They were professional and clean. It was a pleasure dealing with him and we would highly recommend Roger de Electric.

The first thing I noticed was the level of communication. They returned calls and email. Explained everything that was going to be done. Answered all my questions clearly and intelligently. They were efficient and obviously take pride in there work. The wiring is very neat and clean. I am very happy with the job.
