At first they seemed very nice and I was excited to give them the job. The original job was suppose to cost 2500 which was agreed upon verbally. Once my deck was removed they thought their was more excavation than originally estimated so we agreed upon 3000. A week before starting he called saying he miss estimated and the wall was now to cost 5000. I agreed since the price was still middle of the park vs. other estimates and his reviews seemed good. Once the job started Vinny seemed very upset and was unprofessional because he felt more time was being used to excavate than he anticipated. He was suppose to work all day Friday and Saturday, once the material was delivered I gave him half the money as agreed upon earlier. Within an hour he said they would be back Monday to finish because they had a long week and he wanted to have the job perfect (fine, no big deal). He returned Monday and was about 90 percent done (looked great). I decided to pay him in full since I wouldn't be home the next day which was a mistake. He finished the job and one wall turned out to be completely lopsided! He did say he would come back and did, but at first made excuses that the wall was straight and that's how they look. Finally he agreed it wasn't correct and said he would need to take down the structure and fix it (never came back and made excuses for me to wait until I was ready for pavers around my pool). Long story short the wall is not fixed and I am unhappy.....oh yeah, he also left about three yards of dirt for my pool guy to remove and the yard wasn't graded at all! Lastly some of the blocks have glue dripping from them. First contractor I have ever hired, terrible experience.

I had water coming into my basement from a crack in my foundation. Vinny and his partner came early in the morning and did the job. 2 very nice guys. They were neat and finished the job before noon. It's almost a year and I haven't had any problems with water coming in. I would recommend them to anyone. Nice job.

We did not use Mr. Brickman and the stoop is still crumbling, but when I can do the work, I will be giving him the job for his honesty and professionalism. Plus, I've seen some of his work in the neighborhood and its beautiful. .

The quote was for $11,000 but I did not have any work done.

The retaining wall bordered a neighbors property and that neighbor was very troublesome. Mr Brickman's crew successfully convinced the neighbor that the work wouldn't damage her property and so we were able to proceed with the job. The new wall looks substantially better than the old one and seems more secure. They also dug to the bottom of the foundation in one area and waterproofed it. Lastly, they stuccoed the exterior foundation.

We couldn't be happier with the work. Their price was competitive for the work involved. It included all materials and labor. Vinny and Richie are very professional and friendly and are willing to work with you regarding your specific requirements. They worked hard and built beautiful front steps, and significantly improved the appearance of our retaining wall. The front steps are being used by my father who is 90, and a small drop from the door threshold to the landing was very important to ensure his safety. They designed stairs that took this into account and created a very large landing for him as well. They accomodated all of our wishes. We would absolutely use them again and are happy to recommend them to others!

they arrived promptly and did average work. My main issue is they promised my wife the would come back for the garbage they left behind because their truck was too full. They did not show up the next day, and I called them, and was assured that they would come by the next day to retrieve their trash. They never came back, nor did they call with an excuse as to why. very unprofessional , the mess they left was all of their own making, lunch etc., and they didn't have the decency to clean up. Ok service, but very unprofessional and left a bad taste in my mouth at the end. I would never recommend them, or use them again.

This place is excellent. They are very prompt, neat, and clean. The work they do is great, and they are very reliable. If there are ever any issues, they come right back out. The price is very moderate.

He was honest because what he originally wanted to do was not feasible, so he just devised this way of putting the sump pump in. We correlated with each other to check if it was working right.

He came on time and he was polite. His quote was better than several others I had received from other companies.

Great. This is the third time we have hired Mr. Brickman and they are consistently great. They respond to messages in a timely fashion, show up on time, price fairly, perform work as expected and described, and overall provide a very positive experience. They do things the way other contractors should. Too often, others show up late, or not at all, do not respond to messages, etc. They are a diamond in the rough - would use again in the future in a heartbeat.

I called for an estimate. I got a quick response and an estimate. We set a tentative date for the work. Weather and a busy schedule bumped the job by a week. As the digging progressed, we agreed that the problem involved a collapsed drainage pipe. This was additional work not anticipated. We agreed on a $150 increase in the price, which was more than fair.

Responded promptly to initial telephone call and came same day for review of work to be done and provided estimate. Booked for the following week. Provided sufficient notification when would be unable to keep original dates for work due to heavy rains at the time. Arrived promptly on the scheduled days and completed all work quickly and with quality. Owners on hand during all phases of the work. Rebuilt deteriorated steps up to the front door. Removed old air conditioner sleeve, bricked up opening and repaired inside wall with drywall and plaster. Built patio in backyard using a cement base then using a layer of paving brick. All work done with high quality. Would definitely use again for masonry work.

The men were professional, courteous and very accommodating. We were very pleased that they started on time and completed the job one day ahead of schedule. We will be hiring them in the future to completely redo our stairs.

He is very good and had good quality. He is reasonably priced and has reasonable amount of design and imagination. He is very creative and dependable as he showed up when he was supposed to. He did a very nice, unique and clean job. He finished the work in one day and did it for the price he said he is going to charge. I'm very pleased with his work. I will use him in future.
