Mathew Montalbano was very professional and the final outcome was great. He was clean and used floor coverings to protect the work area. I was very pleased overall.

Came to my home to give an estimate and measured completely inaccurately. Gave me an estimate based on inaccurate measurements (possibly because he didn't believe that we would notice that he measured wrong or that we wouldn't have it double checked) that was extremely high and unfair.

Matt always does a great job, years ago I was referred to Matt by some clients of mine who found Matt here on Angie's list. He renovated a bathroom for them. They were extremely happy with his service. Over the years I recommended Matt to my family members and some other clients of mine. Anyone who ever used Matt were always pleased with his work. He is a perfectionist when it comes to his work. He is always professional, courteous, prompt and strives to service his customers with care. Small job or large job he always does the right thing. The work he preformed for me was a small job and the service was excellent.

Matt was a nice guy. Very responsive returning phone calls. Very nice job. Showed up a little later than told, but no big deal. His price was $500, but would not give me the $25 discount for Angie list members as advertised on site. Grout Guru NYC quoted $450 and would give me a 10% Angies list discount. I chose MCM, even though $100 more, because of the many A ratings on Angies list. When I checked the caulking on the kitchen sink, I noticed that the back of the sink was not caulked. Matt did not mention this until I asked about it. He said that it was difficult to get the caulking gun so close to the wall and it would make a mess. I was not happy with this response. I don't think that my sink was so unusual that there was no solution to performing the caulking properly. If Matt reads this and decides to come back to finish the job properly I will update this review. There was a lot of grout dust on all surfaces but I guess that cleaning would be the homeowners responsibility. I would use him again.

Matt was very careful, neat and meticulous and did not rush to try to finish the work so it took three days. The first part was to prepare the floor for cement. Next came the cement which he had a helper assist him. He did a great job laying out the design we wanted and using the tiles to create a matching border along the wall. The ceramic tiles were thick and hard to cut without breaking into pieces and he was very careful when he had to cut them. The finished job is beautiful and better than we expected.

Matt was very meticulous in is work and was very neat when he left every night. He used a fan to keep the dust to a minimum and never left a mess or his tools laying around. I would recommend him highly

We hired Matt Montalbano to tile our kitchen backsplash. He was prompt, knowledgeable, fair priced, and easy to work with.

The experience was very good. He was good, but his price was high.

It went perfectly. Matt was a great find and we will surely have him back when needed. A simple little re-caulking job needed to be done before I had to have surgery. Matt was here in a blink. Not only did he re-caulk the tub area, but asked if he could re-do around the bathroom sink and take care of a few grouting joints that were cracking. He pointed out an issue with our bathroom doorway saddle, which had been installed by a licensed contractor that pretty much said that's the best he could do. He suggested a fix which, to an eyesore that we thought we would always have to live with. We will ask Matt back to take care of that issue when I'm up and about. All-in-all this job was professionally done. The caulking is picture perfect. We honestly couldn't have been more pleased.

Matt was responsive and a true tile professional. He knew his stuff and was clear about how he worked. He recommended an excellent place to buy the tile which was reasonably priced. Matt did the work himself and everything came out nice. We plan on using him again for the floor.

Matthew is a people person - friendly and polite. Most importantly, he did the job quickly and cleanly. No muss, no fuss, no bother. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I received the ad via email from "Angie's List" for a sale on re-grouting. It was for $99.00 for one person doing 3 hours of work or an hour and half with two people. Matt showed up and immediately assessed the area. He said corking/grout supplies would cost an additional $45.00 and that it was on the original advertisement. He did an excellent job cleaning and replacing grout. He was professional and cleaned up after each step of the job. The service in itself was fantastic. The one thing I would say if I could make a recommendation as I was surprised... Since$45.00 dollars is the routine rate for supplies, just add the difference ($99 + $45 = $ 144.00) and put the exact price so that there are no surprises on the day of service. I reviewed the advertisement after and I didn't see the fee.

The only issue i had was that after i paid for the special, i was told that i would have to pay an additional $40 for the supplies. The job was still worth $140, however, it should have been represented clearly that supplies were extra

Very happy with Matt's work. He was neat, showed up promptly each day and was obviously very experienced. Many tile companies will not take smaller jobs so he was perfect for our project. He made a few suggestions that improved the look of the job that we hadn't thought of. I would not hesitate to hire Matt again or recommend him to friends or family.
