Had dealt with Doug the owner once before and decided to call for doing a very small job. I have 2 outdoor light locations that I wanted wired from an electronic leviton timer switch. Well after a failed attempt myself due to crazy wrong wiring decided to call in the pros. Doug sent two of his guys and they were prompt and courteous. Tested all of the wires to understand what the wiring was actually doing. Then replaced the switch in one location and spent the rest of the time getting the 3 way to work because of such poor original wiring scheme. After caking the manufacturer to figure out what they require they were able to wire it all up as I had wanted. Would definitely use these guys again.

OK work, but didn't give me estimate for work to be corrected that is not correct by another contractor.

Terrible! After perusing Angieslist, I contacted Doug of Kinetic Electric on Staten Island and made a 4 pm appointment for Tuesday, September 25, 2012, for a semi-emergency call. Two hall lights on the first and second floors in my rental building are malfunctioning, creating a potentially dangerous situation of an almost totally dark stairwell. (A new tenant is moving into the second-floor apartment on Saturday.) After a 45-minute trek to the building, I arrived about 3:45 pm that afternoon. At approximately 4:15, I placed the first of two calls to Doug and left messages. I waited until shortly after 6 pm, not having received a response, to take the 45-minute return trip home. I am surprised at the unprofessionalism of this company which was a frustrating waste of 4 hours of my time. He could have had the simple courtesy of a 5-minute call to inform me that he became unavailable.

The electrical service on the outside of the house was damaged by a large falling tree branch during a storm. Kinetic repaired the bent pipes along the side of the house (actually, they replaced a section of the pipe with a new pipe) and reconnected the service. The 2 gentlemen who performed the work were on time, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I have used Kinetic before and will not hesitate to use them again.

He attended to my needs in a timely manner. He is quite qualified and completed a superb job. This is a family business. Douglas took over for his father. The company has been in business for 30 years plus.

THEY WERE VERY NICE. IT WAS A FATHER AND SON I HAVE DEALT WITH BEFORE. THEY WERE RECOMMENDED BY SOMEONE ELSE. WE HAVE USED THEM BEFORE FOR OTHER PROJECTS, AND WE HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THEM.
