Inhaus Kitchen & Bath

After being assured that the door could be replaced and they would remove the original door and send it out for color matching, they brought it back the firs ttime after 6 weeks or so and it was the wrong size. They took it back and after another period it came back the wrong color. The total time I was ultimately without a door on my cabinet was three and a half months. I continually requested that the owner come and look at the difference or at least call me each time there was a problem but he never did. The office kept telling me that he was "on the road". Finally I told them to just put back the original door and give me back my money. A few days later the office told me that the owner said he could not give me a refund because the door had been ordered especially for me! What? It's the wrong color, and there is no grain in the wood! I was asked, "What do you mean by grain"? Really? You work in a kitchen remodeling company and you don't know what grain means! I am appalled! I should wind up with my original door back on and pay $275.00 for something that they could not provide? Never a call from him, nothing...and no door on my cabinet for over 3 months and the moulding not replaced and when I asked about the moulding, the office insisted that I had it, what? I did not because it went back in the box with the door that didn't fil, noboy bothered to check! I spent well over $50,000 with him four years ago and that did not go exactly smoothly either, we were so patient but mis-measured mouldings, that had to be re-ordered after the first group of installers botched it and walked off the job. Doors on my peninsula hung upside down and backwards, end piece on the peninsula had to be ordered three times before it was right...and his Father became involved and came to my house when I wasn't there demanding that my daughter call us because he was looking for the final payment; absolutely insulting! They always got payments when they asked for one, how dare you?In the end It was OK, only because we are so tolerant and patient but this time, I am driven to write this horrible review and I cannot believe how they do not care now. I know he has opened more locations, maybe you should go back to the beginning when you actually had time to tend to your clients, who were loyal to you. I recently had a couple of opportunities to recommend and did not.

Tried to over price me. Angie list states 31 days left for this deal ?$49 for a Kitchen or Bathroom Design Consultation with 3-D Renderings" I have 2 complaints 1. Via email, they quoted me $1,500, however the $49 promo value lists its worth $300! 2. Via email, they said they do not offer bathroom renovation, however it states they offer it in the promo. Their reasoning is that it's been discontinued and Angies list should have taken it down. I feel they should be on top of their business to ensure nothing is being falsely advertised. Very unprofessional.

Avi from inhaus was easy to work with, detailed in his designs, patient and his workers were pretty fast. We absolutely love our home and would use Inhaus again!

Everything went well. They were terrific. The work is beautiful! They were very responsive!

They made the appointment about a week ahead of time and sent 2 confirmation emails (one the day before). They never showed and did not call. I called their office and inquired what happened. They told me the scheduler never informed anyone and they were out for two days due to their wife giving birth. I don't understand if that was the case why I received confirmation emails over the last two days. The person on the phones asked if I wanted to reschedule, but my wife and I did not feel comfortable with a company with such terrible follow-up. They told me I had to contact Angie's List to receive a refund for the services that weren't performed. There were a few other reviews where this occurred, but I thought perhaps they were a one time thing, obviously not. We could only imagine what would happen with the job if we executed with them.

rep was very nice & professional but I was absolutely floored by the quote for the proposed work. I have a 400 sq ft apartment and teeny tiny kitchen. No appliance was going to be relocated; everything was basically updated. Their quote for labor alone was over $15k which is more than I received by 3 other contractors for the whole apartment. Maybe they would be better for bigger more expansive jobs but not a tiny kitchen update at that price. Deal for $39 in house consultation was great though

They did not show up for both appointments I could just imagine if I hired them to do the work what a disaster it would be very disappointed this was my first time using Angie's list

They came out very quickly. They were fine, no complaints. Price of cabinets was too high so we stopped the process.

They started promptly and completed all work in a timely fashion. All the workers I dealt with were polite and professional. The quality of their work is outstanding. I had shopped around for a year before I chose to go with Inhaus and I was very happy with my decision. I would highly recommend them and I would definitely use them again.

I originally met with Avi who worked with me to design my kitchen. He had many suggestions and recommendations to make my kitchen more functional and updated. Over our meetings we designed the space, picked out all of the materials and went over the details and scope of the job. We ultimately decided to use Avi and Inhaus because their pricing was within our budget and we felt very comfortable with them. Our cabinets were ordered and arrived within a few weeks. Prior to the cabinets arriving Inhaus gutted my kitchen, prepped all of the electrical and plumbing needed and replaced my floor. Next the cabinets were installed. They were perfect!! Shortly after the countertops were installed and the final touches complete. I absolutely love my new kitchen! Thank you Avi, Cynthia and everyone at Inhaus!!

I called and they told me the individual that normally looks at the work wasn't in so they said they would call me back the next day. I have never received a call back. I have decided this company is unreliable. I expect someone to do something if they say they would do it.

VERY punctual & professional.In fact he was 15 minutes early.It went smoothly. i need to save for capital to complete project.

They cancelled on the day they were supposed to arrive they cancelled twenty minutes before appointment.

He came over and didn't have any ideas and never delivered drawings as the ad said he would.

The design went very well. They helped us work it all out and order the parts we needed. They told us we would have the job done in 10 days to three weeks, max. We're now in our ninth week, and it's not finished. They've had three different plumbing subcontractors here, and now our plumbing is all messed up. It's been a trip in hell. They were very helpful during the design phase. They were horrible in the execution phase. So I got a great deal with the Big Deal for $49.00 for the design, but the rest of it has been awful. The price of the remodel was a little less than what we thought it was going to be. The price was okay. She's gotten back to me quick, when I called, which was real helpful. She always let me know the status of things. I would never use them again.

Not what I had hoped for. The man was very nice but estimates of contracting work are usually free. This is what he was eager to provide and did so, but it was a pretty generic estimate as far as I can tell. He, for example, included a vanity mirror and new lights even though I told him those were newly installed and I did not want to replace them. I had asked him to include storage space wherever possible but the only thing included was the vanity cabinet itself. I do have a small bathroom. He did shift the position of the toilet as I had asked and made good suggestions about the type of toilet needed. The drawings he provided were okay but did not include dimensions which would have been helpful for my use. His company has a store in Staten Island where a customer can look at different designs and products - this will be very helpful.

The consultation was great. He knew what he was doing and we were happy with the feedback he gave us on a kitchen renovation. We haven’t followed up on it yet because we are still unsure of the size of the renovation we want.

Although he seemed willing, I didn't get much help or new ideas and I was pretty disappointed. At one point, he laughed and said I knew more about design than he did - which isn't funny if you're paying for professional expertise.

We went beyond the big deal purchase. He made it look beautiful. I choose him because of his reviews. He took pictures of before and after. I thought that was good marketing on his part. I think that price was fair. He was not outrageously expensive. I would use him again.

Abe from Inhaus was very professional, friendly, easy to talk to, knowledgable and helpful with design ideas. As with any service you are contemplating it is helpful to have some idea of what you want and what budget you have in mind as the process can be overwhelming.

I mentioned that I already have a contractor. The office manager said she had to call her boss. She returned to tell me that they would not come to my home (where a design service needs to take place), but that they would do it over the phone. When I said that I design consult needs to be in-person, she said that I could come to their office in Staten Island. Their Angie's List post is misleading. It's classic bait and switch.

Our experience with them was okay. The quote was for $75000. They were very professional, but they were by far the most expensive. They got back to us fairly quickly. It was very thorough but was just really expensive. They were twice as much as the next closest quote.

The experience was negative. The major problem with them was we had to buy virtually all the materials including the shower doors, toilets, vanity sink and all. They gave us absolutely no guidelines and it was up to us to do it. I don't have any experience doing that kind of thing. We ended up making some mistakes..we made the mistakes about buying the equipment and part of it was they did not help us set it right about doing it. As I told the head guy, one of the things he could have done is give me one or two pieces of paper stating the size. The communication was difficult. The guys would show up here and not knowing what to be done that day.

He did good work but he is very expensive.

He is excellent and his work is top of the line. These people are no idiots at all. This guy was very good and I was very impressed with his professionalism and what he has done before. He was fantastic and did great work; I can't say anything bad about this guy. He is the best and I thought his pricing was fair. He was right on time to the second, literally.
