Grout Guru NYC

A few years ago I had my bathroom redone, and the contractor botched the grout job on the floor. I needed the grout scraped out and redone. The issue is that the floor tile is small herringbone marble. To redo this grout is backbreaking and tedious work. Several contractors turned me down, but Gene said it wouldn't be a problem. His worker Boris came over and scraped the grout for 5 HOURS STRAIGHT. To make a long story short, he did an amazing job and the floor could not look better. I appreciated their punctuality and honesty. Gene fully disclosed to me that their might be minor scratching if the scraper slips, there was, and I didn't care because I was warned. They aren't the cheapest, but they are good.

Job went well. They repaired and re-grouted what was needed. Everything looks very good. I am happy with the work done. Their price was a little higher then some other quotes I got but not the highest. They missed caulking one spot but I called Gene and he sent his guy right back to fix it with no problem.

Gene and Boris showed up at exact appointed time and got right to work. They were professional and clean. They did a great job!

I was having problems with water leaking from the shower floor into my partially finished basement. Gene was very professional and gave me the run down on what the previous contractor did and was willing to help me if I wanted to take him to court (other contractor never answered messages or called me back). I really just wanted to get the problem fixed, he gave me a fair price to redo the shower floor over. It turned out to be a pretty tough job, but Gene didn't give up on the issue. He did the floor and I was still having the issue just not that extreme. He came back and did the shower floor again. I'm an extremely patient person because I knew that these things happen. He even came on the weekend just to finish the bathroom. I was happy with the job that he did and the issue was finally resolved. It took quite a while but things happen and he didn't give up like other contractors would do. About 8 months later a few tiles on the shower wall by the floor were buckling and the cement was pouring out. I called Gene immediately and he remembered the job (how could he forget, the job from h***) and said that he would come out that week to see and fix the problem. He came back, fixed the job at no cost. He stands by his work and unlike other contractors he doesn't put you on the backburner because he already has your money. Can't say enough about him.

After recently having my bathroom completely gutted and remodeled by another angies list company shortly after we started to get a leak in our ceiling coming from the newly remodeled bathroom.the company refused to stand by their work and left me and my family with a major leaking ceiling. We called a plumbing company that inspected the bathroom pipes and told us after two trips that it wasn't a pipe problem it was the installation of the shower floor. Thats where grout guru stepped in. I called them up and the owner gene immediately came to my house and inspected the bathroom. I immediately felt comfortable with gene who was very sympathetic to our situation. Gene than immediately tried to find the source of the leak and discovered that the shower floor pan and tile was installed improperly by the contractor. Grout guru than sealed and caulked my shower floor than resealed the tiles and installed a whole new set of tiles on the floor along with border tile. He has kept in contact constantly to make sure everything was fine and has made numerous trips to my home to follow up. I would highly recommend grout guru for any kind of work you need. They do great work and the owner really cares and stands behind his work. Thank you grout guru!
