Frank-Key Services

This is the second time that we used Frank. the first time was back in Aug to change out the locks in the house and he was outstanding then and this time when we needed the lock cylinder's changed out because we lost the house keys we called Frank, he showed up and was professional and the work is top notch. Will be using Frank for all my lock and key work.

They were professional, punctual and good at their job. All the way around excellent work and would absolutely hire them again to fix or change any locks in the future.

Frank was very professional, polite and punctual when he first came for an estimation. He promptly emailed me the proposal afterwards. Because of some changes we made, the specific work order needed to be updated. He was very patient with that, and updated the proposal accordingly. He made a very good selection in purchasing the right type of safety chain that was ideally compatible for the style of the classic door. In completing one of the bolt locks, I suggested to use capped screws to make a more polished look. Unfortunately he did not find those types in his otherwise quite sophisticated utility truck. Beyond my expectation, he called me a couple of days later, offering to replace those 4 screws with capped ones. I am very impressed with his craftsmanship, professionalism and work ethics.

I called Frank based on the reviews from Angie's List. Frank lived up to his reviews. He changed my locks and offered advice regarding what type of locks would work best for me. He worked efficiently and more importantly did a great job in changing my locks and internal devices. He did not try to oversell me on things that I did not need or ask for. I was so impressed by Frank that when I replace my doors, I will contact him first.

I highly recommend Frank. He was pleasant, accommodating, punctual and efficient. He gave an estimate and returned another day to do the work. His prices are fair and reasonable. I had multiple long-standing lock problems on several doors. He did not encourage me to replace the locks when he was able to repair them and save me money. He vacuums after he works and the work area was spotless. When I asked him to look at 2 interior door problems which were not in the original estimate, he was able to make minor inexpensive repairs which suited my needs. I automatically received the 10% Angie's List discount - I had printed it up but it wasn't necessary. This was the second business I used from Angie's Llst and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Excellent experience. I measured my old peephole (which did not have a sliding cover) and told the measurements to Frank on the phone. I said I wanted a brass peephole. He brought exactly the type that I wanted and quickly installed it. It looks nice and works perfectly. Frank was professional and friendly.

They were great, I had no complaints with them. They were friendly and professional, they got the job done.

Frank returned my call the same day. After explaining my problems, the bolting mechanisms on 2 doors and the inside lock knob on a bathroom door, rather than the locks themselves, he made an appointment for the very next day. He assured me one way or another he would resolve my problems. Frank was very courteous and professional and repaired the two doors for me. Being the bathroom door lock was 70 years old, he didn't have the part needed on the truck, but took the time to go to a neighborhood hardware store to purchase the part. He had no luck, but he did mail the part to me within a couple of days explaining how my husband could easily install it himself. His price was super reasonable, and I even had a 10% off coupon from Angie's List. I've never had much luck with repairmen or contractors, but I can definintely say Frank-Key Services is A+++++ in my book.

Frank is awesome. I called him last week to get a quote for installing a lock on my door, he gave a great one and made an appointment with me to come out this week. He arrived only a little later than he originally stated, but he called me to let me know that he would be a bit late in advance. He arrived with the tools he needed to complete the job, and completed it in under an hour. The lock he installed is a great quality one, and his work is neat and looks great. Frank was very professional. friendly and even my 2 year old enjoyed his company while he was here. I'd not only recommend Frank's services, but I also plan to use him again myself for my terrace door in the future.

I called and spoke with Frank on a Thursday and I asked if he could come to my house by Saturday and he said he could. We talked for a bit discussing what kind of locks I wanted, etc. He asked me to send him photos of my old locks so he could see what I had and that he could be better prepared for his visit on Saturday. He was very knowledgable and personable... After getting my email, he called me and we set up a time for the Saturday appointment. He actually showed up 10 minutes early which was a pleasure (that rarely happens these days). He fixed my door and changed my locks to the ones I wanted -- he also makes keys which can't be duplicated! I have tenants so that has been an issue in the past. I would definitely recommend Frank to anyone! :-)

Frank was very helpful and knowledgeable about my door frame/ lock situation. Instead of replacing the whole lock, he suggested a better resolution to the problem.

Contacted Frank to fix a fire door that didn't close properly. He came and gave me an estimate, which was a fair price. He was ale to do the job right away and was A pleasure to deal witth. Rather than telling me to get a new door, he came up with a creative way to fix the door by flipping it around

They were friendly, very quick to set up an appointment. Right on time and Bob was a very sweet and conscientious locksmith.

Frank's standard for excellence exceeded all expectations. I have never seen such pride in work, perfectionism (to drill, he puts down a protective sheet and removes his shoes and puts on slippers! so that your floor will not be damaged while he drills for the lock). His knowledge and integrity are exemplary. I thought I needed to replace two locks and was told by Frank that only the interior mechanism needed to be replaced. How many people would be that honest? If all craftsmen were like Frank, there would be no unhappy homeowners and no lawyers protecting them. He spent at least an hour and a half working and his bill very reasonable. I will recommend Frank here in New York City (he will do locks here) as well as to my friends on Staten Island. Seriously, he is one of the guys who learned from his father about old school values that are just so rare these days. What a treasure!

He was efficient and a nice person to deal with. He did what he said he was going to do and he did not charge me anymore than he originally said he would. He did not charge me a service fee, plus additional work fees. He just charged me the one amount.

Frank-Key Services - Locksmiths OMG, he is Awesome ! I call him, his prices are good. He is reliable, he is wonderful ! He put a lock in for me, and is coming back to put in another lock for me. He came out on a Saturday with short notice, it was terrific ! I have already recommended him to others. I am using him again.

Handyman came in a professional manner. Was very polite and remedied the problem quickly.

FROM START TO FINNISH, IT WAS A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. I THOUGHT A NEW DOOR LOCK WAS NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED, INSTEAD JUST A MINOR REPAIR. ALSO MADE A NEW KEY AND CLEANED UP WHAT LITTLE MESS WAS MADE. FRANK WAS VERY PLEASANT AND PROFESSIONAL TO DEAL WITH. WILL USE AGAIN

Everything was excellent. The gentleman that did the work couldn't have been nicer, and the pricing was beyond great. The craftsmanship of the key was superb as well, and it can't be duplicated in any store.

He came out on Tuesday to replace the cylinder but needed a new lock for the inside as well, so came back today to finish the job. I was very happy with his work and he was very pleasant and professional. Thanks for the referral! My experiences with locksmiths in the past have been horrific! (i.e. did a terrible job and overcharged). No so with Frank-Key Services. He was excellent!

The experience was terrific... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Frank to anyone who needs locksmith service. I was very glad that I found him and would definitely use his services again.

Discovered Frank-Key Services from a search on Angie's List as my deadbolt lock and bottom lock broke. I reached out to Frank on Thursday to get an estimate of what the cost of the repair might be. He asked that I send along photos of the front and back of the door, locks in question and dimensions of the door via email. In follow-up with Frank via phone, I mentioned I needed to have the door repaired imminently and he was able to fit me in later that day. He arrived at the time he promised, evaluated the repairs and offered me a fair estimate that undercut the cost of the two other locksmiths I outreached to the day before substantially. He repaired both the deadbolt and bottom lock and gave me a reasonable price for a third lock on the front of the door that I was considering replacing, too. He did his work efficiently and cleanly. He even brushed up the debris from the door lock and applied WD40. Frank was friendly, courteous and most importantly responsive! I would definitely use him again and highly recommend him to others. There is a reason he is at the top of the Angie's List search ranking and now I know why.
