I didn't have the "standard" cylinders which would have cost me 2x to replace. Frank allayed concerns and assured me that a standard cylinder would be fine and I didn't need to incur the additional expense since I was going to have ADT installed anyway. Frank arrived on time and took the time to replace everything well. All of the keys worked without sticking. I would definitely use Frank again in case of a lockout! He was wonderful!

He was very nice, punctual and generally a pleasure to work with. He put up with my 5 year old son and friend slipping drawing after drawing under the door for him and decorating the stoop with paper and tape while he worked, taking the artwork and bringing it home to show his daughter.

The lock I had on my door was broken I had a temporary lock placed on i didn't feel secure so I had frank come down and look at it he stated my lock did fine he just added a dead bolt above the lock I already had. He gave me a quality lock listened to my needs. He was a very nice person, detailed oriented I was was very happy with the service. Very fairly priced.

I called Frank at night, after hours. He responded at 8:30 the next morning and was at my home by 10:30am. He fixed the lock and even though there was addiitonal work I thought needed to be done he talked me out of it saying we did not have to do it and spend the money yet. I found him to be professional and his cost was fair. He did not try to talk me into anything else, but talked me out of spending more money. He is someone I would use again and I would recommend to others.

He was quick to assure me that I might not have to replace the 90 year old door knob, he might be able to repair it. (Although, I was pretty sure it would have to be replaced) This was consistent with other reviews I read about him on Angie's List. He gave me a same day time frame for him to come and do the work on my front door. He arrived at my house within this time frame and explained to me what he would have to do to repair my door. He also explained that is would be expensive. I appreciated this. But after all is said and done, the cost was not outlandish. The door knob he provided was attractive and similar to the original in design (I liked this because it was in keeping with the vintage feel of the house) and the quality was superior. His work was outstanding. He was neat and quick and cleaned up perfectly. He went above a simple installation. He corrected the fit of the door which rattled and did not close tightly. Great work. You would not be sorry to hire this guy. He is on my permanent list. Thanks Frank. It was a pleasure.

Frank happened to be in Brooklyn when I called and he said he would come over in a short while. He was prompt, well mannered and well prepared and with the correct tools of the trade. First Frank tried for a while to remove the key that had broken off in the double keyed lock on a metal gate. When that did not work we entered the house from another entrance(lucky me) and he removed the lock from the inside and replaced it with one of the same company so that the footprint was the same.He also lubricated the other exterior locks and explained why my other gate was difficult to lock and what to do for it.(for another time)

I have a windows door to the deck that had a non working lock, Frank came looked at the door, took a picture for the lock, sent it to his supplier, found the part for us and came back to install it. He did a prefect job in fixing the door, which is now working properly, not only that but he also adjusted the door, which was not opening and closing smoothly, now things are much better working and more secure. I needed a competent locksmith to complete a new installation of a Baldwin Reserve Deadbolt, and on a very short notice. The installation required drilling into the door and the frame in order to fit the lock. Frank arrived fairly shortly after my call, and installed the lock with exceptional skills, competence and professionalism, all within an hour's work. He carried 2 small bags of tools and he did the work that would take most locksmiths a long time to complete and with help of some serious tools. He did most of the work by hand and chiseled precisely into the wood to create the spaces that fitted the plates perfectly. He was very generous in sharing his knowledge on how things are done and why, he was very professional and a genuine person to work with. It was very pleasant to have him in the home, and he took time and great attention to complete the job. He also left the space as clean as he first came in. This is by far the best locksmith service I have ever had and I will recommend him in a heartbeat. Thank you Frank for your service and giving us peace of mind when we most need it.

I called Frank because I was having trouble getting into my house. One night it took 10 minutes for the key to finally open my front door. Frank came when it was convenient for me, which I thought was great. Very nice guy and very accommodating. He said I didn't need a new lock. He replaced the cylinder and made sure all my keys fit. Frank is the BEST. He changed his plans to be able to come out and fix our front door, after having come twice to change our locks and to install new doorknobs that our daughter can't easily open. He's very friendly, reasonable with his prices, and true to his estimates (which he can do pretty quickly). His work is very good.

Frank came by to re-program a combination door lock (as the previous combination was probably known to at least 20 people in our building). He showed up ahead of schedule, expertly changed the combination and then also fixed a number of hinges to remove a pesky sticking problem that the previous owner had tried to (poorly) fix by sanding down the door. Frank's level of professionalism, courtesy, punctuality and craftsmanship make him an easy choice for any future door or locksmith work in our home. Highly recommended!
