The work went very well, everything was done in 5 days. I don't live in that apartment and once I gave my keys to John he handled everything.

For the past few years, my wife and I very much wanted to remodel the kitchen and bathroom in our Bayridge coop. The task of finding a contractor was not a comfortable one. Too many horror stories about jobs gone bad. However, after several interviews we lucked upon DunRite Inc. 5th Ave & 92nd St. Brooklyn. We set up an appointment with John, who came to our home and not only listened to what we wanted, but ,made many very valuable suggestions. He worked out an estimate and work schedule. We checked him out on the Internet and were happy with his reviews-so the work began. DunRite Inc. is very much a family operation, which pleased us greatly. All of the workers were extremely courteous, efficient, and knew their jobs. As things progressed, we found that John was not only a reliable contractor, but in many respects, he acted as a decorator suggesting changes that made our apartment as up to date as you can get. All the while, he was very respectful of our budget and were able to get "champagne on a beer " pocketbook. He also allayed any anxieties during the job. The job did take a little longer than expected,. However,the results were actually much better than we ever anticipated. In the end, the Dun Rite people completed our final puchlist without complaint and did everything possible to make us happy. Without reservations, we highly recommend Dunrite Inc. . It is with GREAT privilege to write a review for Dun-rite Inc. I want to enthusiastically to give John, his staff and crew an enormous THANK YOU for a job well done. From the very first day I knew I chose the right team for my remodel. They were prompt, courteous, professional,very clean and most of all trustworthy. Their workmanship was impeccable, everything I wanted from my remodel was done with the utmost quality of craftsmanship. They were very accurate in their initial assessment of cost and renovation completion time, and were very flexible in accommodating any changes I made along the way. I work 6 days a week and John made special trips to my job to let me pick out tile, flooring, cabinetry etc. so I didn't have to miss any work. I am so very pleased with Dun-rite inc.. I would not hesitate to refer them to another in need of quality services from a contractor.

Excellent! Dun Rite is very professional and does the work on time and within budget. On top of that, they are extremely responsive and easy to get a hold of throughout the process. I would highly recommend them for any type of renovation. They do outstanding work!

We had obtained 3 quotes from other contractors. My husband asked me to obtain one more quote. I found Dunrite on the list with great reviews and John squeezed us in on a Saturday and came himself to do the walk-through estimate. We immediately had a sense of ease that we had found our contractor. John is incredibly personable and an absolute pleasure to work with. He has many years of experience and gave us confidence in all that we were hoping to accomplish. He had great suggestions, told us exactly how it would go and gave us a realistic timeline. I can't say enough about John, his team and the company. They exceeded all expectations for customer service!!! The team that came was exceptionally nice, took great care to protect our wood floors and the apartment, were prompt, worked very hard, and kept us informed every step of the way. John was always available (either in person or by phone), and he and his team checked with us on all decisions so that the design and the work met our expectations. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, and made adjustments or re-installed items when requested or needed. They were even gracious about doing some extras for us that we needed! They stuck to the original timeline as described - amazing! The one delay, unrelated to Dunrite, was actually caught by John and his team when they were picking up our vanity top from an outside vendor/fabricator which was damaged and needed to be completely redone. John saved us time and money by not accepting the damaged quartz. The Dunrite office staff is lovely and always responsive. We are truly thrilled to have found John and plan to use Dunrite for our next projects including window replacements and a kitchen renovation. We couldn't be happier!!!

The three guys sent worked hard and we were happy with the quality of the painting. They even made a suggestion for an accent wall and replaced all our socket covers. There were two issues that result in me giving them an overall B rather than an A. We had shelving in the room, which they knew we wanted to reinstall when the job was finished so they didn't fill in the bracket holes. When they reinstalled the shelves, however, they drilled new holes! Luckily, the shelf hides the holes that weren't filled. The shorter of the two shelves was replaced in the wrong so we had to buy a new shelf to to cover one of the open holes. Finally, they laminate floor planks weren't staggered which is makes the floor more stable.

My husband found Dun-Rite on Angie's list and we scheduled an initial meeting just to discuss what we were interested in doing and to get price quotes for the job. John was really impressive to meet. He comes across as extremely personable and I had a sense of comfort that he would want to do a great job and to make sure I was happy. I was given an estimate of how long the job would take and John and his crew kept to the initial timeline and possibly had the job done a couple of days sooner then promised. His crew were very gentile with my belongings and they went to great measures to make sure that all my belongings were properly protected at all times (even at the expense of their own time). I found his crew to be very respectful and easy to communicate with. John would come and go, but he made himself very reachable. He also extended himself beyond normal business hours to answer all my questions and calm my nerves through the process. My only advise to anyone who will hire Dun-Rite is to know exactly what you want in advance down to the details. I wish I could have incorporated more creative details into my renovation had I planned it out. In terms of execution they will make it happen and they will do a very neat and timely job. Overall they were extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with.

I used them twice and I'm planning to use them a third time. I continue to use them for various properties that I manage. They're expeditious, they get back to you. They are fast, reliable and the best price.

The project was done really well, for a reasonable cost, and very quickly given the scope of the work. Dun-rite's price was about a third less than three other contractors that we interviewed. He is also recommended a cabinet supplier that was at least 1/2 the cost of other suppliers in the area. John took care of ordering and obtaining all the supplies, which was very convenient. My only real criticism was that he didn't always tell us in advance warning when he would need a decision about a particular material to purchase. At the end of the job, we did a walk through of the apartment and the crew completed all the final details with much precision. I would highly recommend John and Dun-rite Inc.

I love Dun-Rite. John takes incredible care of his clients & does his best to be available for all your inquiries and anything else as the project moves forward. I found them on Angie's List a year ago and was very pleased with the help they provided us at that time. They became my go to company for everything, including as an emergency contact for my property whenever I am away. I trust John to fairly assess & address anything that could go wrong in my absence. Additionally, as soon as I realized I needed my roof done, as well as a few other things on the property, I contacted him. He takes such good care of me & I feel like I am in good hands. Doing big jobs is stressful enough, that having a competent & caring contractor is a true gift. As many questions as I may have - is never too many for him, never too many calls, he is always gracious & kind as well as professional and will always give you a very good price. I am so thankful I have Dun-Rite to handle all my property needs. I highly recommend them, and I also do so with other neighbors & friends when they are in need of such services. I would give 10 stars if that was an option. :-) I am a happy & loyal Dun-Rite client!

After calling Dun-Rite the first time, I received a call from John soon after and scheduled a date to see the work I wanted done. John showed up on the date and time we agreed on. I showed him what I wanted and he provided suggestions and ideas on how it be best to get the job done right and specific to my liking. He gave me an estimate on the work I needed and scheduled the work to be done when it was convenient to me and family. Once work commenced as scheduled, workers were professional and cleaned and maintained the work area. Work lasted approximately a week, and during that time John would checkup on the work daily and made sure it was to my expectations. John was very accommodating and did additional work not previously discussed. At the end, all work was completed to our agreed upon specification and John and his staff professionalism exceeded my expectation. Excellent workmanship and attention to detail! Would definitely call John again for any future projects. Overall, great experience!

The guys at Dun-Rite were great! Everything went as smoothly as can be from discussing my ideas, obtaining an estimate, to supplying all the needed docs for my co-op, to scheduling start date, and coming each day on time and cranking out progress daily... 99% of the work was completed within one week, and the remainder a couple weeks later due to the fabrication of the solid custom granite window sill. The crew themselves were very polite, considerate, and diligent and fast transforming my dingy room into a fresh, stylish retreat. The plaster work and painting came out spectacular. One of the biggest parts of this job was enlarging the closet. I wanted to keep the original doors since they were so unique and made from heavy, high quality wood. They came up with a great solution to break through the closet walls, re-framing, and finishing the walls and floors -- while repositioning the original doors. Everyone from the secretaries at the office to management was very responsive to all my inquiries. They were also flexible when I opted to get a custom closet installed (separate purchase/vendor). They installed my granite sill and did several small "clean-up" tasks to make sure I was satisfied with the fully finished room. I couldn't be happier with the work and feel very comfortable with the whole team. The transformation of the room is remarkable - though unfortunately the room is so nice, it's making the other rooms look sad. Guess I'll have to call these guys back for my next room project!

Said they would call back in a day or 2, but no response after 4 days does not encourage me to actually hire them. If they have so much business that they don't need mine, then they won't get my business.

They got it done in a month and did it for a reasonable price. It looks perfect. They cleaned up everything perfectly every day. I really appreciated that.

The team at Dunrite led by John were amazing. The crew was professional and skilled. They transformed an old rental apartment in an 85 year old house into a showcase. It was very apparent that John was proud of his work and workers. He was a visible force on the worksite, but didn't need to be present 100% of the time. His intuitive use of materials and design improved upon my own ideas. In many cases he didn't need much to convince me of altering my designs based on his experience with spaces like mine. I eventually gave him free reign to make decisions which he always followed up with a phone call or meeting before doing the work. In the end I am completely pleased with the job Dunrite did. John treated me like family. I plan on using their services again to tackle some of the jobs in my own space. Thank you again Dunrite.

They were punctual and very considerate of my neighbors. I live in a Co op with many residents who are home during the day. They were clean and quiet. They were very responsive to all my requests and changes. I recently hired a contractor to repair my parents home after Hurricane Sandy, I am so sorry I did not find Dun-Rite for that project.

I love this company! They are relaxed and professional, and they did a wonderful job. Since moving into our new apartment, we have been looking for a company that we can trust to do the more complicated fixes we can't handle ourselves, and I am so pleased that we have found Dun-Rite. The work was done quickly, but with precision and professionalism, and the pricing was fair and completive. All of the guys were kind, and they arrived on time, which for me is huge! I will certainly be calling them again and again in the future. They are a family company, and I constantly felt like I was in good and honest hands.

Dun-Rite was extremely reliable; they came every day when they said they would and did everything they said they would do. They had a great work ethic, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that the job came out right and without looking to charge for "extras". And to top it off, the workers were extremely nice to have around (and that's important when they're in your home day after day for weeks); they were trustworthy, respectful, accommodating and cheerful despite the typical setbacks and difficulties they faced renovating a very old house. We would not only consider using them again, we will be using them again for additional renovation to our home over the next number of months.

The project exceeded my expectations, but not the budget. Their staff was professional, courteous, respectful and prompt. They worked well with my building's super (who was also impressed with the work). We picked out the basic cabinets and bathroom tiles first, and the rest of the details as the project progressed. They gut renovated my kitchen, bathroom and closet which took about 5 weeks. They did a fantastic job.

We had to wait for five weeks for a permit from the town. They were very professional and quite straight. They have been in business for a long time and people in the area also had recommended them.

Did the work in 3 days! We found a small defect and they were willing to come back and fix it. Overall a great experience!

The was completed in one day and a few hours the following day. The wall is not painted since I have a few other projects I need to complete prior to painting. Overall, working with Dun-Rite has been great. They are time sensitive to correspondence, very respectful and professional.

They were a great company. They didn't charge us to pump out water before they put the pool in. They were very professional and showed up on time. They worked well and we didn't have any problems with them.

They provided a reasonable quote for services and completed all activities in a timely and professional manner. They went above and beyond my expectations by fixing and smoothing over the ceiling plaster "repairs" that I had attempted myself!! In addition, although the quote was only for surface installation of wall switch and light in hallway closet, they went ahead and ran the wiring behind the plaster and did all the repairs, so that the inside of the closet looks as clean and professional as the hallway ceiling and walls! Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend them!
