Description of Work: Dunrite performed soundproofing for us, renovating our existing condo (3 unit condo, vertical). Removed existing ceiling sheet rock, installed roxul soundproof insulation, plastic membrane, then new sheet rock. Installed plastic sheeting to keep dust/construction debris down (we stayed at home during renovation), worked around our existing furniture (key point for us!). |All in all, great work, honesty about the soundproofing effectiveness and approaches. Would definitely use them again.

They were professional, attentive and responsive throughout the process. My lease was expiring and I needed to move into the apartment within a specified timeframe - Dunrite promised to have the entire remodel completed, which they did! John and the crew were fantastic in all respects. I would use them again and highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Dunrite completed an entire one-bedroom apartment (650 square feet) remodel for me. This included demolition, gutting kitchen and bathroom, installing new kitchen and bathroom, painting, new doors, passthrough between kitchen and living room, refinishing hardwood floors and painting. They also installed blinds and a closet system for me.

The roof job was subcontracted and the work was fair, workers worked unsafely at times as this is a pitched roof home, very high and no harnesses or other items were used. Thank goodness no one was hurt. The flooring job turned out to be a horror, it also was subbed out, the work was done unprofessionly and the flooring used was substandard. The coating peeled on it after 2 months, they offered to sand the coating off of it as a corrective measure which was a terrible offer of a remedy after we spent almost $10,000 on it, we declined as we were afraid to let them come back after the mess that was made. I would not let these people do any work for me if it was free.

I'm sorry the Member feels this way about our company. This job was done 5 years ago and comes as a surprise to hear this complaint. We knew about the flooring, which we installed ourselves without the use of subcontractors. The flooring was in a 3rd floor attic apartment. When we installed flooring, the heat was up to 90 degrees with no one living in the apartment. We expressed to the the Member's family that they must lower the heat because floors can cup or peel with no windows and high humidity due to steam. He called us 3 weeks later and we told him we would happily, free of charge, repair the floor and he declined. As for the roofing, we've been in the contracting business for three generations with less than three complaints over the last ten years. His roof was done perfectly, as we do approximately 3 per month. It was a very steep incline, which most contractors would have declined to do, but for us this was a very easy job to remove and install new roofing system. As far as accidents, we've never had a claim with our insurance company or any men hurt on the job in our existence. We're very sad to hear he feels this way. Obviously, his roof was done perfectly because with all the snow and rain we've had within the past 4 years, there is no mentions of leaks. I must also say, we install roof brackets as we install the roof to keep men from slipping. I must mention, all men were wearing harnesses except for men that were hanging gutters and downspouts on ladders, which is normal procedure. To any other Angie's List customers, we must inform you we are top-rated contractors and have plenty of references upon request to prove such. Simply, we're the best. We are proud of our reputation.

They were remarkable. They were efficient and honest. They got the job done within 1 1/2 months. They were attentive and returned phone calls whenever an issue came up. They were great. The price included all the supplies.

Dunrite had the best price of four different contractors. They finished the job in one day. They were very good and prompt. They were very patient while we had to wait to get condo approval for the work and they were helpful in that process.
Description of Work: They constructed a wall in our apartment, turning our living room into a bedroom. It's a junior four style apartment. They did the taping and spackling.
