I had a bad experience with him. I have to get the roofing done all over again. That time my brother and sister were sick and I could not pursue it on time. Finally when I felt able to, I was going to consult an attorney but the time line expired. I couldn't do anything about it and that's why I have to do the roof over again. He did a bad job. His attitude was terrible. I called them three or four times about the roof. He said there was nothing wrong and the water must be coming from somewhere else. When I threatened him with a lawsuit, he came and he was outrageous and didn?t know what he was talking about. He went up the roof and I don?t know what he did and it didn?t stop leaking. But then I became ill myself and that took me away from it. I had cancer. When I got better, I just didn?t have the vitality to deal with it. And when I felt able to do and called the roof manufactures. He even lied because the gas roof supposedly sends you a letter saying that the job was done. They don?t guarantee his work, but they guarantee the roof. He must have had the copies of the letter and signed it himself and send it. The gas people had no record in their files of sending me a letter. I had a very bad experience. The roof was getting worse and I didn?t know whom to trust. But the man was a cruft, and there was no question about it. He originally did the work and he was supervising the work. Even if he wasn?t doing the work, he should have come periodically to see if the others were doing the work right. Something?s I could check myself, because I had subscribed to home magazines to get an idea how things should be fixed. I was looking at the way he was putting the flashing in. But the thing is that they didn?t seal it right. I have cable on the roof and underneath the side of the cable I was supposed to see a little star. I kept telling him and he said that they don?t use stars. When I called up the gas people, I asked the girl to let me speak to the technical person. And instead of putting me on to the technical person she got someone and something was missing in the translation. He came back and said they didn?t use stars. I was concerned about how the roof was sealed. When I called the other people, I just questioned. When I called the gas people, they said they would send someone for inspection. I told them that I didn?t want that man to come so they gave me another man. What I didn?t like is that when I called the office they said the man would get back to me and he never got back. And he sent his workers over. I thought he should have had the decency to come over himself and it was stupid on his thought; because at that time I would have made him redo the roof. But then I thought that if I?m dealing with some one who doesn?t have hands on approach, I don?t know if I would have had the same situation I had the first time. He only came to collect the money and did not receive what the people give. So I didn?t do anything. In the meantime the roof kept getting worse and worse. Then I contacted Angie?s list and they recommended another company and I would use them to redo the roof. When the other company had come, they gave me list of half a dozen things that weren?t right. They didn?t lay the shingles properly to begin with. They didn?t seal it properly. They had some other things which I don?t recall. At that time I think their price was reasonable. Another problem I had with them was that, I think they were trying to get rid of their materials. Because I did have new windows put in by him and at the time I spoke to him and kept telling him that I wanted a written contract with everything spelled out. He kept telling next time. He was a devious person. Because I had air conditioning unit I had told him that first I wanted one piece screen. Then I told him that I wanted the half screen so that I could take it out of the window. And put my air conditioning unit in. He said that I did not tell him that. I told him that specifically. I told him that because I have air conditioning units to put in the window. I have to take the screen to cover the entire window and replace windows with half screen. When I realized that I had to put the air conditioner in, I told him that I wanted the half screen. He put in the full screen. When they were putting it in, I told them that they were supposed to put half screen. Then to pacify me he put over a whole bunch of half screens. But the thing is that when you have half screens you have a full track window, and my window had only half track. So all the screens he brought me had to be discarded because it wouldn?t do me any good. I was so exaggerated because I had a brother ad sister who I lived with, died in the short span of time. They had cancer. I did not have energy to fight these people. I had called up the business bureau and one of the city agencies. I don?t know why, but they did not have anybody having a bad experience. I don?t know what happened and this man could take advantage of me. Looking at the work he did, he got a lot of work. I don?t know if mine was an experiment. Probably he realized the mistakes that were made and pointed it out to his workers; but didn?t correct the mistakes in my case. I don?t know what to do about it and I consider it a learning experience and hopefully I don?t have any encounter like that. I will not waste any time.; if I have to get any job done and it?s bad, I will go to the attorney immediately. I will have to do it myself. The man was a liar. The last time when I called him, he wouldn?t return my call. The lady who picked the call, I told her that if he didn?t return my call, I would consult an attorney and then he came. They came here promptly every morning. The job was done on time. I will definitely not use them in the future.
