Description of Work: They arrived a little after they initially said, but did apologize for the slight delay. Fixed my lock/door quickly. No mess and relatively not too expensive. Polite person arrived and did the work. Pleased with their service and would use them again if necessary.

+ -1 moreHe was Professional, Courteous & On Time. Came to give estimate & look at what had to be done & said because of the different type of lock it was could do the job the next day & did just that. A Man Of His Word That Did The Job Right!!
Description of Work: I have a vault mailbox after 8 years the keypad did not work & finally the key access would not open & I could not retrieve my mail. Bob's Locksmith came to the Rescue & Saved me from replacing the whole mailbox which was still a secure functioning piece. He drilled out the lock on mailbox that wasn't working anymore, cut hole in box & mounting plate, disconnected the old electronics & installed a new mailbox lock with 2 keys for access.

I thought I needed a full replacement but Danny from Bob's Locksmith on Victory Blvd in Staten Island came quickly and fixed it. They were so honest and charged a small fraction of what the cost would have been to replace. Always a great experience with Bob's!!!!!!

+ -1 moreI called and spoke with Danny, who scheduled a Saturday appointment to perform the work that I outlined above on a new home purchased in June 2013. Danny arrived on Saturday at the agreed upon time and completed all of the work within an hour. He did a great job.
Description of Work: Changed the cylinders on 2 door locks and 1 gate lock. Installed 2 new keyed door knobs. Repaired a door knob that was not allowing the door to fully close. Assisted with an issue that I was having with my garage door opener.

+ -1 moreThey took advantage of me because I was stranded. I would never deal with them ever again. I would have rather left my car where it was stranded and contacted another local locksmith. They were supposed to give me a price, and I think that he damaged my tumblers in the ignition switch.
Description of Work: They replaced a key, and claimed that it would work. I had them replace the key that was stuck in my ignition. They said that it would not get stuck again. I had the key stuck in again the next day, and they charged me another $120. He was going to charge me less if I paid with cash. They gave me a $75 refund, and they did not return any phone calls afterwards. When I faxed in the form for the refund, I had to call them three times to get it.

+ -1 moreThe locksmith was good. I spent a couple of hundred dollars for his service. He came when he said he was going to come. He fixed everything and even an extra one that I never told him about. He brought everything he needed when he came. A lot of them go and get stuff when they are in the middle of a job. So, he was prepared. I would definitely use his services in the future too.

+ -1 moreMike created new keys (on his truck) and also filed down my deadbolt receptacle. I had not been able to engage the deadbolt before. He was punctual, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and pleasant to deal with. I was thoroughly pleased with the encounter.
Description of Work: My key suddenly did not open my front door. At 11:00 AM, when It eventually yielded, I called Bobs. Mike arrived less than an hour later - determined that my keys no longer matched because they had worn down.

+ -1 moreIT WAS FINE AND I REALLY HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THEM. I NEEDED A LOCK IN AN EMERGENCY BECAUSE MY DOOR DID NOT LOCK. IF I DIDN'T HAVE THEM INSTALL THE LOCK, I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO LEAVE. THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND CAME IMMEDIATELY.
