Contractor and workers was punctual, easy to talk, and always accesible on the first call or text. The work was completed as proposed. I will certainly reach out contractor for other construction jobs for my home.

I had granite steps installed replacing the limestone. Also, installing granite over the concrete porch. The work looked great for the most part however there was some sloppy work on the side wall of the steps where the mortar is not smooth at all but looks as if it was just thrown on the wall. I'm still waiting for this to be remedied in that I contacted the firm 5 weeks ago. Lastly, the stone cutting and work leaves a mess that could not come up from my driveway with a garden hose but Abid did return to power wash most of it away. Bottom line as with any contract work, you need to withhold final payment until you are satisfied. This minimizes waiting for the contractor to return at their convenience.

We hired Abid to do concrete work on our outside of our house and when you look at it from a distance it looks nice but when you look up close you see that things are not cut straight. They are not level. That there are areas where he did not put in the tiles. When we told him about it he said we would need to buy the stones again and tiles even though it was his mistake. He said he was following the natural bent of the stairs and that is why it was crooked. But as a expert and skilled construction person that is what he was to correct otherwise I could have done it myself and the job would have come out better. We also had him do work inside our home. Electrical, laying of floors and putting up sheetrock. We noticed the big gaps in our wood floor and spoke to about it he dismissed our concerns. He was rushing to finish so he could go home to his country in Pakistan. The sheetrock was put up, compounded and painted but it has all kinds of bumps in it and does not look professional at all. The electrical work was done incorrectly and we had to hire an electrician to come in and make corrections so that it would not BURN. Furthermore when he took out our glass mirrored closet doors he had his worker put it in his truck without asking us if we were keeping them he lied to us and said that they were not usable because of the new floor. We found out today 10.8.17 that they could have been reused all that was needed is for us to cut the top of the frame move it up and then reinstall the doors. I had to tell the worker to bring back out our doors and I donated them to the church since I believed Abid that we could not reuse them. He cost us additional money for 3 doors that we had to replace. Also he helped himself to our insulation took it citing that he needed it for his home. He used our materials that we bought for our home to do repairs in his home. Would not recommend him at all. He is pleasant but his work is not good. So we stopped him from working preferring to stay in the current remodeling state until we find someone else who can do the job right. No need to throw good money after bad work. We have been in the current state since Sept. of last year. He worked on house up to Nov. then he went away until Jan 2017. And we told him of all the issues and he said we would have to cover the costs. Which was different from what he said when he first interviewed for the job. He said he would fix what was wrong but I guess he is not a man of his word and so we are extremely disappointed with him and highly suggest finding someone else to do the work on your project unless you just don't care how it will look. I would not recommend him at all because work is not done well, materials go missing, and he uses your materials for his home but also the advice he gives you is to serve himself and not necessarily in your best interest economically or practically! The boss Abid is a kind and patient person, so we had good communication. His workers were very professional. They worked hard and cleaned up after the job. At beginning I did not trust him too much. After they finished the walkway and front wall pointing for me, I felt I can give him more projects to do. The initial cost was $5,200 finally I spent $8,400 to complete more home fixing.

The planter that was built is fine, although it was left full of roots, debris, and dried concrete droppings. However, there are three stairs up to the second level of our deck -- a little brick stoop or staircase -- and I had wanted it to be repointed but Annex said we should replace it altogether. They said it would be rebuilt exactly as it was. During the building process, we were asked to pay additional money for the tops of stairs themselves, even though we were bot under the impression that those were already included in the project, and I distinctly recall the owner saying that they would be rebuilt "with the same thing." I chalked it up to a misunderstanding and paid the additional amount. When they were finished there were two large cracks that ran the length of our deck that I'd never noticed before despite being out back multiple times each day with the plants and my dog. (Annex's owner had commented originally that the deck was in good shape but now agreed that these cracks, which I'm fairly sure they introduced, needed to be filled.) I was unhappy about this but chalked it up to the truism that doing work on a house always creates unexpected new problems. I rationalized that we'd gotten the work we paid for. But now that I've sat with the new steps for more than a week I've noticed a lot of problems. First, they're not as wide as the stairs originally were. It's possible to see where the edges of the staircase were before, and the stairs don't reach to those edges. Not just that, but the deck bricks in that one-inch area on each side are now exposed, potentially creating a new vulnerability to the elements that will necessitate considerably more work down the line.. And at the top of the staircase there's a sagging/seam where the stairs were made more narrow. Another local mason re-did the concrete covering the sides of the deck, to the sides of the staircase, earlier this summer. Even beyond the now-exposed bricks, the work that mason did now has cracks in places. We chose not to hire that mason for the planter and the rest of this new job because his estimate for the job, but I now deeply regret that decision. He was meticulous in his work, came in exactly at budget, and never would have left debris on the job site (I'm still fishing pieces of concrete out of my puppy's mouth). I think we would have been better off leaving the steps alone than having them "rebuilt" by this company. When I texted last week to express some of this and sent along photos, Annex's owner said he would be able to stop by on Friday afternoon to take a look. I didn't hear from him that day but gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited all weekend. Now it's past 10 o'clock on Sunday night and he hasn't been in touch. I also haven't been in touch, but honestly I'm undecided as to whether I want them to do more work here, even to fix the issues I see, because I'm afraid new problems might be introduced.
