Joseph was professional, prompt and courteous. He explained all work and also anything that may happen. Gave a date and finished same day. From day one he felt like an old friend. His workers were an image of his business. Love my new roof. Will definity recommend.

Joe's bid was lower than the others we received and he came with great recommendations, so we decided to go with him even though he had a two month backlog of jobs. We are very glad we did. His team has been working together a long time and is exceptionally professional and hardworking. Joe was very communicative at every stage of the process, keeping us posted about when they'd be able to begin, how changing weather conditions would affect the schedule, and how the work was progressing. Our roof looks great, and his guys even went the extra mile to clean out a hard-to-reach stained glass skylight. We couldn't be happier.

Crew replaced 7 old windows and did an excellent job. I've had contractors here for other estimates and they all commented on the quality of the window work. This is our second time hiring the Joseph Ashley team and we'll be hiring them again soon for another project. Joe, Angel, and the whole crew are very professional, thoughtful and capable. They are invested in every project and really go the extra mile to make sure you're happy.

Roof is 22 years old, Called five companies to check roof leak one guy looked on google earth at roof while on the phone, one guy came to house and gave prices without going on the roof. Two where no shows. Mr. Ashley called me back and said he was coming over to look at it as soon as one of his trucks with a ladder comes available. He came over took pictures of the roof and showed us where the problems where. His crew came and completed the job and cleaned up any debris.

I bought a building in Brooklyn in 2011. The first issue I ran into was a leaky roof. I called Joseph because of the reviews I had seen on Angie's List. Joseph's bid was in line and in fact a little cheaper then some other bids I received. I decided that he was the person for the job based on his knowledge of the what materials would be best for the job and his pleasant demeanor. He also helped me in having 2 new skylights manufactured for the roof and the price point was great. Joseph completed the job on time. His workers were professional through out the process and I was very pleased with the finished work. I promised myself I would write this review a year from the date the job was completed. That way I would make sure that all the work Joseph did was indeed done well. And of course I forgot to write the review. Well, it is now over 7 years later and the roof has withstood Sandy, many Nor'easters and I have had zero issues with any of the wonderful work that Joseph did. It was a superior job and experience! Mr. Santillo and his son are a real gentlemen and they try very hard to do an excellent job. The roof came out beautiful. They paid attention to all details to make sure it was done professionally and would look perfect. The workers were polite, efficient and quick. They kept to their time schedule and cleaned up when they were done. All our neighbors were impressed with our new roof. The price was right also. Overall, we give this company an A+.

Joseph Ashley ACL Remodeling Inc. just finished replacing the siding on my house, which included shutters, gutters, trim and installation of new outside light fixtures. My husband and I priced around, but after meeting with the owner, Joseph Ashley, we chose his company because he was very knowledgeable and informative without the pressure. We liked how he worked with us, the quality of the samples he showed us and the pricing was right. We are totally happy with the job they did. My house looks beautiful. While the work was being done, Joseph Ashley and his son Joseph made sure we were satisfied every step of the way. The workers did the job fast but were very detailed and made sure everything was perfect. I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to have work done on their house and wants a company they can depend on and trust.

Joe came out two different times to survey my roof and see what needed to be done. Ended up replacing my roof, adding a new skylight, new vent and redoing my cornice. Joe and his team were punctual, professional and, most importantly, patient with me and all my questions. They did a helluva job on my roof and would definitely recommend Joe to others.

After contacting multiple siding companies for a quote, Joseph was the first one that got back to me and was willing to come to our house for an estimate. After getting all our quotes, his came back as the most reasonable. We decided to go with him and what a great decision it was; work was completed on time, the workers were courteous and knowledgeable and when it turned out there was a bit of extra work that needed to be done, Joseph did not nickel and dime us on the add-ons. It was one additional upfront cost that was laid out right from the beginning should our worst case scenario come true. We decided to go back to him for a roofing job on our garage which has not yet commenced, but I am sure it will be a great job and stress free experience.

Everything went extremely well. I was nervous because it was a big job to me. I was convinced to use this other roofer, but when I spoke with Joe on the phone, his enthusiasm attracted me to meet with him to hear his offer. Joe described his product well. The skylights he put in are wonderful. In my neighborhood most important is the sealing behind the gutters for unwanted visitors. Joe showed me the wood and metal that goes behind the gutters to appease my worries.It was an excellent suggestion to replace the skylights, because although I spent more money, the whole job then is guaranteed by him. If the old skylights stayed and should leak, it would end up costing more money and it is much better to have the skylights replaced When doing the roof. His price was very good for the huge job they did so effortlessly. Joe is available for any questions or concerns you may have. He spot checks during the entire job. How did it go? It went perfectly! We needed a roof...sort of. While there were no issues with our current roof, it was approaching 27 years old and we didn't want to take any chances plus we recently had new windows installed and our home and garage painted so a new roof would give us more curb appeal. I did my homework. I checked out four different roofers and while I did have one that met Joe's price, I knew from the minute I met Joe, he was the guy. I trusted my instincts with him and I was correct. I sat down and read every one of their reviews on Angie's list and that just convinced me even more. Joe's a homeowner, he's a family man, and while he's also a businessman, he doesn't make you feel like it's all about the sale. He sits down and talks to you. He finds out what you want and what you need. He doesnt try to over-sell. When you have work that needs to be done in and around your home, there's a certain level of stress that goes along with that and while we're in the midst of doing a million things at once, Joe made this a stress-free experience. I'm very happy that we went with ACJ Remodeling. The materials were delivered when he said they would be, his crew showed up on time, and he was here. They were all very professional, they were very polite, and they cleaned up after themselves. I had absolutely no complaints with the quality of the work. I contracted Joseph Ashley to replace a roof on my house. His quote was more than reasonable and the work was completed in less than a week. Joseph Ashley is an honest man and will give you the facts as they are. His crew was professional and trustworthy. They placed a new roof as well as replaced replaced the roof on my extension in less than a week. Because of the great work on the roof I had ACJ Remodeling Joseph Ashley remodel a bathroom that was just a shell due to a botched former contractor and damages of the roof leaking. In two weeks I had a brand new beautiful bathroom AND a laundry room! My bathroom has beautiful tile work, shower and insulation and a heater in a place that when it was functional was ALWAYS freezing! Not only that, but the walls of my extension were restuccoed! Joe Santillo is the guy for the work you nee!!! I began my search for a construction company for at least six months. I met a few "A" rating companies because I wanted to accomplish a job well done that will last me for many years. A few of them were reputable companies but wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to complete the work I needed done. I understood it was going to be expensive however, they were expecting for me to sell the house to be able to pay for the work I needed to get done. The day I met Joe talking to him and knowing his excellent reviews, I was really expecting another unreachable amount of money. To my surprise the price was not what I expected. It was more than a fair price plus he included stuff he didn't charge. He even included a storm window that he personally requested to be custom made for my home. After spending 20 minutes with Joe, I knew he was the guy for the work the home needed. He was willing to listen, offer valuable suggestions being that he has many years doing great work. As he stated " I love my job this is why I do it well from the beginning " His crew is reliable, personable and trustworthy. They were always on time, I was able to call them and they were always willing to help and accommodate my request and most importantly I was able to come to work and even go on a trip and leave the key to my home for them to finish the job. The job is now finally finished and I am not only happy but completely satisfied with everything he did to the house. If I ever need work done I will not think twice to call Joe.

We were really happy with ACJ. The original roof on our 105 year old wood frame house was still there, but it had been covered by several more layers of shingles added over the years. The time had come to take down the whole thing and completely replace the roof. Joe and company's bid was slightly more than the other bid we got, but we were very impressed by their professionalism and by the great word of mouth we'd heard from our neighbors. I had special requests about how I wanted the attic insulated and ventilated, and they were incredibly responsive. The project was done on-time, and looks great. There’s almost nothing as fundamental as a roof over one’s head. When we learned that the roof on our newly purchased home was problematic and needed to be replaced we got quotes from five different companies. Having delayed the inevitable for many years, it was time to replace the 2-3 layers of existing roof and old aluminum siding on our house. We received estimates from several local contractors, including ACJ Remodeling Joseph Ashley. After meeting with Joe S. to discuss options, pricing and his suggestions, we decided to hire Joseph Ashley. To sum up our experience with Joe and his team -- EXCEPTIONAL! We could not be more happy with our decision to hire Joe. His honesty, integrity, fair pricing and exceptional quality standards resonated from start to finish and he was a pleasure to work with. Joe and his team, led by Caesar, were professional, courteous and went over and above our initial agreement without "unforeseen" charges or cost overruns. What began as a roof and siding replacement job turned into a remodeling project. Joe's "vision" to replace a flat roof over our sun porch was brought to reality with Caesar's craftsmanship and has cured a longstanding water problem in that room. The work done by Joe and his team included complete replacement of our roof (including new plywood and copper flashing for the chimney), siding, gutters and leaders, new (custom) side door, new front door and sidelights (including interior plastering and woodwork), rewiring of outdoor lights and attic window replacement. Joe offered several suggestions and recommendations as the work progressed, most of which we accepted, but never did we feel pressured to do so. In the end, the job exceeded our expectations and we are thrilled with the results. We have received compliments from neighbors and passers-by. Joe would get a 6 star rating if it were not for the 5 star maximum. We have already retained Joe to replace additional windows in our home. Couldn't have been more pleased. We looked around and spoke to a bunch of contractors, but ACJ was far and away the most thorough, clear, and invested in the project. You could tell that Joe really loves what he does and his guys are pleasant, professional and hardworking. Joe worked with us to find way to make the house look just like we wanted it to within our budget. He listened to our preferences and made suggestions based on what we could afford. I can't think of an aspect of the job that we weren't pleased with. It all went really smoothly and we're so pleased with the quality of the job and the way it looks. If we need another job done, ACJ will be the first contractor we call.

The job was started on a Tuesday the crew arrived on time ready to work and boy they worked in fact it was a show in my neighborhood as my neighbors watch on as they tore the roof down and replaced it. The demolition was handled very well as debris was landing on two other properties that I gotten ok from the home owners to work there and cleaned it up as quick as possible. As one side was stripped one team started putting up the new roof. Joseph stopped by site everyday to make sure I was satisfy with work being done. By Thursday they were done and the roof look great it has given new live to the house. Overall Joseph and his crew performed above and beyond expectations the materials were excellent quality and the crew were very friendly and professional and I will be hiring Joseph again in the future as I have other repairs need for my home Thank you Joesph

When We first called and spoke with Joe, We asked a few questions about his quality of work, the materials he uses and how long it will take to finish the job. He made a few recommendations and some of the things he said we weren’t sure about. Upon calling a few others for second opinions we realized that everything that Joseph said was true and accurate. We felt comfortable choosing Joe because he knew exactly what to do to insulate our home and all of the nuances of doing siding and roofing on an older home. It is not always one size fits all and he is wonderful with that. We knew he was the right choice because you can tell from speaking with him by phone and in person he took the time to explain everything from the beginning of the job to the end. He came every single day to check on the work and to see if we had any questions. Cesar was magnificent, as well as all of the men who worked on our house. Very professional, timely, courteous and Best of all did such a wonderful job that my neighbor also used them. Roof replacement project can be a real pain. Finding an excellent roofer is the toughest part of the whole process: everyone has his/her unique sales pitch, everyone claims that he / her is telling you the truth or “truth”, everyone claims that he / she is giving the best deal. After researching and interviewing some roofers, I am glad that I chose Joe and his crew. What Joe stands out from the rest with his honesty and his assurance.
