I had a total gut and install of a roof on my 100+ year old framed house. It was a very anxious experience with all the rot but Joe and his crew never skipped a beat. These men worked at an impressive rate with everything planned and played out perfectly. Exactly who I’ve been looking for in the last 17 years of home ownership.

I contacted ACJ Remodelling to replace the old vinyl shake siding on my home. They were extremely knowledgeable about the process and took their time to carefully examine and plan out the work. ACJ Remodeling stripped away all the old siding, trim and caulking around my windows and primary entrance. They installed a premium siding from Alside and used fullback foam siding insulation. They completely repaired my porch roof with new wood to give it the strength and stability it desperately needed. On top of that they added shingles and a proper gutter with downspout. They did an unbelievably good job of uncovering the original crown on this home from the 1920’s and capping over it with aluminum. The capping work turned out so well, and really makes this home stand out from the rest. They were able to cap over the electrical conduit which is an eyesore on every house in my area. The facade of the home looks so much better and seamless now. People walking by are so intrigued and admire the work so much they stop to give compliments and ask about the contractor. I couldn’t be more pleased with the work and I will definitely reach out to ACJ Remodeling again to work on the back of my home in the future. I can admit that working on these older homes can be nerve wracking because you do not know what to expect under the siding or materials covering your home. But these guys know how to handle those challenges and I can confidently put my trust in them to take the work from start to finish.

Joe is a professional. We used him for our home in 2022 for new siding, soffits, and roof, to prep for solar panels. His crew are hard workers and do excellent work. Even now in 2023, our siding and roof still look brand new. I would not hesitate to use Joe and I highly recommend him to others. I get compliments all the time for how good. our house looks. Description of Work: Mr. Ashley arrived on time to see the roof work (tear off & replacement of shingles), he gave us some fast talking regarding restoration of the building and said he would send estimate the following Monday. |That was over three weeks ago. I am very surprised, because he repeated numerous times how fast he could perform the estimate with his computer program that is very accurate. |Apparently he is too busy.

Description of Work: I hired ACJ Remodeling to do a complete tear off of my roof (house and detached garage), installing GAF Shingles with the Gold Pledge Warranty as well as stucco my chimney. I am very happy end result. It turned out all the wood had to be replaced and Joe gave me updates each day of how much being replaced. |I would use them again for another job on my house.

Description of Work: I'm not going to rate them because they didn't give me a chance to. I'd give them an f for customer service. The first time I spoke to joe and told him I found him on Angie's list and needed my gutters and leaders replaced. Joe scheduled a meeting and never showed up. I thought maybe there was a miscommunication so I called back spoke to his call screener and never heard back from joe. I truly understand that joe is probably very busy right now but he scheduled an appointment and didn't show and then when I tried to reschedule he didn't return my call. U just needed gutters and leaders but it would have led to other work . I would have understood if joe just told me it was to small of a job being he does a lot of other things and I'm sure gutter replacement isn't the majority of his business, so maybe he should remove that portion from his Angie's list profile . He wasted my time

Description of Work: I place a call today to ACJ Remodeling/Joseph Ashley...Joseph Ashley calls back. I tell him what kind of work Im looking for and his comment is we'll i find people on staten island are only looking for prices then go off the island to get the work done. He has my information and then tells me he is booked till August. I said why didn't you say that in the beginning of the conversation. He says you don't want to wait till August for me, I said no and he hangs up. Truly an unprofessional who needs to learn how to speak to people without all the comments and sarcasm.

Description of Work: My gutter gushed rain out of the middle. I live in a brownstone. Joseph Ashley knew exactly the problem and fixed it before the next big rainstorm. The workmen were prompt, professional, clean, and easy to share a space with. I will most likely use him for a new roof as well.

Description of Work: We asked 5 companies to give ideas of solution and prices on our leaky roof. Some came out with reface the stucco wall, some offered to redo the roof. Joseph Ashley knew right away what the problem areas were, explained them in way we can understand and offered a solution. Our problem was the water would pool near the opening of the leader pipe, but the leader pipe opening is fairly small so the water drains very slowly and eventually leak into the floors below. What Joseph Ashley did was o cut part of the roofing, resurface the ares, add a new gutter that ran across the width of the house, pitch it toward the leader. Now the water has a wider area to drain off the roof. So far, so good. We are very please with the work. They were on the schedule they promised and clean up all the messes from the work. We will gladly use them again.

Description of Work: Having read the rave reviews here at Angie's, I call the place for the first time and immediately got their voice mail. I left a message about what I needed done to my roof and I never heard from them, and that was 3 days ago. I guess being successful means you can blow off anybody you want. A good, professional place returns calls even to say they can't do the job.
