William did an outstanding job doing both interior and exterior repairs and improvements for us. His knowledge of building codes and standards is outstanding. He explains options clearly. And he does what he says we will do. We couldn't be happier with his work and plan to hire him again for upcoming jobs.

William was responsive to our needs, assessed the situation and recommended a solution. He's obviously an experienced craftsman and takes pride in his work. Over several days he sanded and polyurethaned the steps and gave four coats of paint to the stringers and risers. He also installed new molding between the stringers and adjoining wall. Since we have a cat he was sensitive to our concerns and set up a barrier so the cat wouldn't walk on the steps. During the four day process we were away and William kept in touch with us by text and photo to apprise us of his progress with the project. Besides being a good communicator he's reliable, responsible and neat. We're so pleased with the results of his work! We have already spoken with William about doing another job for us. We highly recommend ADK for your next project!

We recently installed a full bathroom in our basement, and had hired ADK to do the carpentry work. Work included framing out a door, linen closet and step for shower, along with door trim install, taping and prepping for paint. He was very professional and personable, and very tidy and neat. We would definitely hire ADK for any future carpentry home improvement projects.

We have used ADK Home Improvement on various occasions for small repairs in our business and at home after roof and wall damage due to severe weather. We also hired Will for a deck addition last summer. He gave us much more than we could have imagined our budget could have bought. William is a seasoned pro, through and through. He's thorough and efficient, and tackles every task given to him without issue (he has a great ability to think outside the box to get the job done!). He often goes above and beyond to make small improvements that surpass his assignment, which says lots about his work ethic. They were great to work with. It wasn't too complicated of a job but they handled it really well, were communicative on email and by phone (and sent me pics of the finished job because I wasn't there). William was really friendly and I would definitely hire him for other jobs around the house.

Contacted William to get an estimate on the door and the stairs (as described in the other section) and he met me at the rental property on time to give the estimate. The price estimate he gave was in line with what I expected to pay for the job, and once he told me the details of the stair repair it was even more work than I was expecting. His time estimate for when he could do the job was right on track, and he emailed me to say when he was going to start work on the house - always punctual. We reviewed the work after it was complete, and it was clear that he went above and beyond to not only bring the stairs up to code but also tweak things to make them lower maintenance and safe. We were impressed with his communication, punctuality, and his out of the box thinking when it comes to retro-fitting upgrades to older houses. We would definitely hire him again and look forward to working with him in the future.

he did a wonderful, job. neat. completed in 5 days, with no help. he also did a few extra side things, fix-its for me, that happened while he was there. Very helpful. fair price, I am having him come back to do more work for me next month.

William is one of the nicest people to deal with. He came to install the fan within 2 hours of contacting him. His price was so reasonable. I recommend him highly! Works neatly and efficiently.

William was here when he said he would be here, worked very hard, and was willing to work on a project which many other builders probably would not be bothered with. He did a nice job, and the waiting time after he gave us the estimate was only a few weeks. He also removed all construction debris and cleaned up well! He is a man of integrity, who responds quickly to phone calls and emails. We would definitely use him again in the future.

We contacted ADK via Angie's list and setup an appointment to receive an estimate. William was on time, professional and had great ideas to our existing plans which we did not think about. His estimate was fair given the scope of work. He worked with us through the permit process and once we received the permit he arrived to begin work when he said he would. He built a new exit staircase off the back of our elevated garage with an attached enclosure to hide our new pool equipment which was a lot stronger and visually appealing than the previous one. He renovated an existing deck an built a new staircase in a new location, replaced all the railings/posts/spindles on the deck, and installed a gate. While he was on site we ordered a French door which he installed promptly upon delivery. ALL of his work was done well and he even fixed a few items which didn't look right before he left. William will be our go to contractor/handyman moving forward and have already requested an estimate for future work.

Will Kahrs of ADK Home Improvement was wonderful. Nice guy who showed up on time did the work promptly and did an excellent job. He did everything from installing flooring to carpentry, painting and servicing the boiler. I would highly recommend him and will definitely use him again in the future.
