Throughout the course of planning and installing a new gas fireplace, the folks at Rochester Fireplace were enthusiastically helpful and cooperative and proved themselves committed to the job every step of the way. At the store itself, Devon provided expert guidance and patiently answered all my questions, including consistently timely responses to emails. They even guided me in recommending a source for stone and a mason to lay the stone, both of which were excellent choices. During the installation, Cameron and his crew worked indefatigably and diligently. Much of the prep work had to be done outside, in temperatures hovering around 0°, and they persevered without issue. Their work and their attitudes were first-rate and their professionalism and attention to detail unsurpassed. I recommend them highly, without reservation.

Everyone I have hired from Angie's List so far (after reading several favorable reviews beforehand) have turned out to be great, but the people at Rochester Fireplace Inc. (from saleswoman to owner to installers) were especially wonderful to work with. Their work was efficient and meticulous, and even though they had to go through my finished basement ceiling to install the lines, when they were finished, you never would have known they had been there. Everyone was so personable and friendly, and, on more than one occasion, they very patiently answered my questions over the phone when I (an insert newbie) wanted clarification on how certain things worked, etc. I was given a discount for paying in full rather than financing. One point that REALLY impressed me was when I called the shots on how high I wanted the black metal backing to go. I chose to go higher, because I had some soot stains that I wasn't sure could be removed, so I wanted them covered. They followed my directive, but after 3 days of looking at it, I decided that I wanted it lowered by at least 3 inches, to expose more brick (taking the chance that I would be able to remove the stains afterwards). Not only did they come out within a day to make the adjustment, they didn't charge me for the alteration, even though the 'error' was mine. Now that's what I call service! I can't speak highly enough of these people. Their follow-up was incredible, all their employees were very friendly and accommodating, and above all they did excellent work. By the way, I was able to remove the soot stains, and I absolutely love my finished product! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to install a gas fireplace insert.

Rochester Fireplace is so amazing, I cannot say enough great things about them. I compared other places and found them to be the best. From the first meet of walking into the showroom to the finished installation of my gas insert I experienced nothing but excellence in every way. They were so pleasant to work with and the price was right. We have an older house and wanted to put a gas insert into an existing fireplace. It was a bit of a tricky job but they went above and beyond and were able to tailor the installation process for our home. They were so respectful of my house, cleaned up beautifully. When Cameron and his team left it was like no one had even been at my house except we had a new beautiful fireplace that we are enjoying immensely! And it is heating our home beautifully! I would highly recommend Rochester Fireplace to anyone for their fireplace services.

James and Cameron are the gentleman who worked on my fireplace and they are absolutely terrific. They did a superb job. They called before they showed and arrived on time. They where very professional. They where very courteous and had a great attention to detail. The attention to detail is unbelievable.
