Went well. Responded to me on a Sunday for an emergency repair which was very much appreciated. Came the next day. Did a good job of stippling the ceiling which can be hard to get right. Redid the ceiling once because I wasn't satisfied. Very dependable, conscientious, and pricing was very fair. Gave a discount.

This is the second small job Dave has helped us with, again an A+ for great attitude and follow-through. Specifically, two elderly ladies had their old toilet seat break off the toilet (in the event of a near-fall during the night). On the phone that morning, Dave asked the seat shape and was told ?oval?. He arrived with an oval seat, to discover it was round. Despite the fact he had two more jobs to get to, he returned to the store without complaint to make the exchange; he didn?t request an increase in payment despite a half-hour?s extra time spent. THEN ten minutes after he left, the seat he?d installed came loose (due to what we determined was a defect). We called and caught Dave in his truck on his way to his next job. He said: ?I?m going to turn around right now and get you another seat?, and he was back within 20 minutes to install another (which is fine). Great service! We post this with some hesitation because selfishly we?d like to keep him for ourselves. He's now the first guy we'll call. P.S. Fee quoted above included materials and tax.

Called Dave earlier in the day and in a few hours he was at my house fixing the problem. Very pleased with his work and his promptness. He was polite and professional.

Had several small jobs and some help to get them done. Called number and spoke to individual,,, He asked that I call back and leave a detailed voice-mail and he would call back to schedule visit / estimate. I immediately called him back and a detailed message. He never called back. Very unprofessional!

I left a message on Dave's voicemail. He called me back in less than a half hour and was at my house within another ten minutes. He sized up the job and began work on it immediately. The job was completed quickly and I am satisfied with the results.

Dave responded within a short time frame, and arrived promptly as scheduled. We have an almost-100-year-old house with steel casement windows that use a crank handle to open and close. Based on prior experience, I anticipated having to replace the crank handle on a window that wouldn't close all the way, and wanted help loosening the bolts to get the handle off. However, Dave diagnosed the problem as rusty hinges and rust buildup along the window edges rather than a problem with the crank. So, he saved me from sending for a new handle and replacing it, only to find that wasn't the problem. He plans to come back to de-rust the edges and install a knob to help pull the window shut (which he didn't have time to do on this visit, which we scheduled only to loosen two bolts). My impression is that he's very handy and does know how to fix things; he's also a nice guy with an honest work ethic. I'm glad to have found him, and will call on him again.

The work was done to my liking. Dave was very knowledgeable and professional. What I liked most is when he ran into an unexpected condition, he would explain what he ran in to and give me options to deal with it. Nothing was done without my agreement. Good Job

Arrived on time and got right to work. Very please with the job D&K Handyman Service did, also pleased with the attention to detail and clean up. I will be using this company for future handyman project around my house.

Dave did an great job. His work was excellent and he is very easy to work with, and his price was reasonable. We had a few delays due to the incessant rain, and his daughter's wedding, but it all got done. I had someone else replace my screens two years ago, and they used screening that was too thin, didn't pull it tight enough, and it was wavy and buckling. It looked terrible from the beginning. In contrast, the screens that Dave installed were the appropriate weight, and are smooth and perfect. Also, the carpentry work on the deck looks great too.

Let me begin by saying that I have been preparing my house to sell and had to go through some effort to find someone who would actually return my calls, provide clear estimates, offer a timetable as to when the work would be completed, and offer reasonable cost. Dave was able to do all of these things. He answered his phone when I called and arranged time a couple of days out to complete the estimate. Dave showed up and provided estimates that were reasonable (see above), and in walking around my property proposed a few other things that he could do. When Dave arrived on the job, the work was brisk & professional. At various points Dave consulted with me about things they were doing and asked questions/gave me options about how to proceed. Clearly he and his people have been doing this a long, long time, and have developed a high degree of skill and expertise. They are 100% customer focused and responsive to any concerns or questions that arise. Most importantly Dave is all about getting the job done right. If it takes a little longer or is somewhat aggravating, that doesn't stop him. The work was outstanding--my kitchen looks absolutely phenomenal, and the cost for the transformation was exactly what I had hoped for. Finally (and I think it's quite important when someone is spending time in your home and collaborating with you on this process), Dave and his guys are "good people." They're kind, they're considerate, they communicate & listen well, and you can tell that they enjoy what they do. I always felt comfortable asking questions and making suggestions and it made a huge difference in the experience. I will absolutely contact Dave for work in the future!

It was basically a nightmare that cost us money 1. responsiveness: he postponed twice ..the phone number on his invoices was incorrect.. 2. professionalism: he didn't check his work (the hand held spout leaked, and he had to come back to fix it..adding a washer to one end of the hose--he didn't bother to add a washer to the OTHER end of the hose and that still is not fixed) 3. cleanness: he couldn't trash the boxes that the shower door came in 4. within days after installing the tub shower door, it came off the tracks and fell into the bathroom scattering in a million pieces (which we had to clean up) note: i felt his fee was reasonable for this job, but I now need a new shower door... when contacted about the problems with the shower door---he IMMEDIATELY became defensive and would not listen to our explanation as to what happened.... he said it was a design flaw (a concern he didn't bother to communicate to us earlier) and that he would not fix or replace it...because in his version of events we pushed it off the track...(home depot, from where we ordered the shower door, said it had no complaints about that model) a huge disappointment and we now have to start all over again with installing a new shower door at our own cost ... (good news, the grab bar seems to be correctly installed) really wish to save other folks from having to go through this experience

They are wonderful. He was on time, friendly and professional. I've used him in the past and will be using him again. His pricing is exceptional. I only had to make one call to get him to resolve my issues. I tried home adviser before coming back to angies list and I'm very happy to be reconnected with this provider.

D&K was extremely timely in terms of their ability to come and provide service. They worked well with my mother in Brockport while I was organizing things from Denver. Stayed in touch with me through out the process. My mother was so happy with the lights cleaned up in the cathedral ceiling. This is just not possible for us to do without help.

Easy to work with, he came multiple times to make sure he did a good job with each task and didn't rush any of the work he was doing. He was very professional in his finished product. Flexible with working around my schedule for when the work was being done. I would definitely use him again on futures jobs.

All of the projects were completed to my satisfaction. Dave is easy to work with and his workmanship is very good.

Nice guy but his work is shabby. Terrible painter. Charged me $25.00 just to hang a clock!!

Dave quickly responded to my initial inquiry and we scheduled an estimate at my convenience. Dave was very professional during the estimate, asking specifics about how and when we would like the work completed. Dave?s knowledge, professionalism, and fair price lead my wife and me to hire him. We scheduled the work to begin a few days after hiring Dave, and I requested that Dave arrive before I left for work at 7:30. Dave showed up promptly at the agreed upon time, we confirmed the specifics, and Dave quickly offered solutions to potential problems. Dave and crew worked diligently to complete the work within the scheduled two days, and I could not be more pleased with the quality of work. I plan on using D & K Handyman Service again for future home improvement projects.

Dave worked for about 30 minutes to diagnose the problem. He still needed more time and needed to also get to another job. He promised to come back on Monday to finish the job. I truly appreciated his honesty and desire to make things right. I'm looking forward to him finding the solution to the electrical problem on Monday.

Great, as always! We have used Dave and his team many times over the years and they always do a great job. Excellent work, reasonably priced, responds to voice messages and text messages promptly.

Nothing much to tell. He removed damaged members of railing and installed new ones.
