We wanted the work done sooner, so did not proceed with Dave, but greatly appreciated the prompt call back.

It was not a good experience. I had a problem with having to have my floor evened out in my kitchen and he told me that beam in the basement had to be cut in half and lowered for the floor to come down. He did that, but the floor never got lower and he also took the flooring off the kitchen. He ripped up the floor and left me a terrible mess.

He is good. He always comes right over to get things done. It went pretty well, he wasn't able to get the job done but it wasn't hes fault. He was very trustworthy.

Our microwave and stove had no electricity and weren't working, we called and contractor was in middle of another job, but said he would stop over around 3 p.m. to check it out. Found our outlets were shorting out and needed new wiring and tightening. Since he was doing the stove and microwave outlet we had him check all outlets in the kitchen and he found they were all loose and needed new wiring. We also wanted a new light installed above kitchen sink and asked him to do it. We called him on Wednesday and he came that afternoon but had to get back to his other job, so said he would be over in the morning to do the job. He was here around 8:30 a.m., did the wiring and then went and bought the light for above our sink and came back and installed. Total job was $225.00. He left us his business card and said all his work is guaranteed and if we had any problems to call him immediately. We are very happy and will have him back in the Spring to do some outside jobs that we've been putting off.

Very neat. He had a crew of 7 guys and did it all in one day. No mess.Very polite crew and did a great job.

Mr. Inclema and his entire crew were friendly, efficient, professional, and very skilled. I will definitely plan to hire them again . I am very pleased with the work they did and the fact that at all times they made sure that my expectations were met.

Spoke to Dave twice and left voice mail message with contact information as he requested. I was never contacted by him.

Dave didn't do any work for me as he was totally upfront that he would not be able to take on my (urgent) job for at least a week. I really appreciate his honesty.

Can't speak to his work, but appears he is taking on too much to be able to handle the work.

I hired Dave a couple times previously for small jobs (power wash our back deck and replace a light fixture). Those jobs went well so I moved on to bigger jobs. This spring we decided to put our house on the market so I wanted to address a couple of problem areas so I hired Dave to replace a section of wall in my side entryway and then paint the room, install vertical deck spindles on my front step, and fix a problem with our sump pump basin. He did a nice job on the deck spindles and the wall section of the side entryway, so I then talked to him about replacing our kitchen laminate countertop. He gave me a price that was a little higher than I wanted to pay ($1400) but I agreed. We didn't have samples to choose from but I gave him an idea of what I wanted (I think I had a floor tile as a model). He went to the store that night to get the laminate and sent me a couple of pix via text. The ones he showed me were darker than I wanted but he said the lighter ones would show the seams. I told him I didn't care so much about the seams, but we finally agreed on a pattern (still darker than I wanted but acceptable). Dave and his crew come back the next day to paint the side entry and install the formica while I was at work. When I got home the countertops were almost done. I wasn't thrilled with the color, but since we're going to sell the house I figured I could live with it for a few months. He had worked on the sump pump basin problem, but it wasn't quite working right yet and he wanted to do more. I don't remember exactly what the problem was but I was starting to get nervous about what he was doing to my plumbing so I stopped the work on that. I don't know that he was doing anything wrong, but it seemed like a more complicated problem than what a handyman could fix. The painting was done and the countertops were soon finished as well so I paid Dave and they packed up and left. After they left I got to looking at the painting and countertop more closely and found MANY flaws. There were areas of the entry way that didn't get painted and cracks (some quite large) in 2-3 corners of the countertop. Also, the edging wasn't properly glued down in several spots, and it was uneven... like there was something bubbling up underneath it in several spots. I was sick! As it turns out, Dave called the next day because I hadn't made the check out properly (I swear I didn't do it on purpose!!). So he came by for a new check and when he did I showed him the worst of the countertop problems. He said he would replace them the following week and make it good. (I didn't say anything about the painting because I just wanted it over with at that point and decided I would just fix that myself.) They did come and replace the section of the laminate, but it's still not good. I've found new bubbled up spots and there are places by the wall where it gaps up and water could get in. All in all, Dave does fine on smaller jobs, but I just don't think he has the expertise for what I needed done. He's punctual and I think he's honest, but I think he got in over his head on this one. UPDATE: as the countertop continued to warp (they used the wrong glue) I called Dave and he came back and agreed to have it replaced by a countertop installer. It took a couple of weeks, but it got done and it looks great. In the end, I guess that's all you can ask of a contractor: to stand behind their work.

I am SO grateful to have found Dave Inclema at D and K Handyman Service through Angie's List. I had a sudden hole eaten through my kitchen ceiling, due to obvious water infiltration. What wasn't obvious was the source. I didn't know if it was a roof/flashing issue due to all the recent winds and rain, or a plumbing issue. I found Dave's name and called at 8:30 in the morning on June 6. After explaining the problem, he told me he was backed up, but could probably check it out on Monday the 10th. I agreed, since I didn't know who else to call. Within the hour, he called me back and said he could swing by, since it was an on-going water issue, to at least see if he could ascertain what the problem was and stop the water leakage before Monday. He was as good as his word and quickly found that I had a crack in my water pipe coming down from my upstairs bathroom. That day, he replaced a section of my water pipe and stopped the leak, which was a huge relief. He said he could come back the following Monday (the 10th) to repair the hole in my kitchen ceiling. I asked him if he could also, at the same time, put in an access door through my bedroom wall to the bathtub plumbing fixtures, in case I had any future problems. On Monday, he came just as he had promised, and in no time completed all the work. He was personable, courteous, efficient, and capable. He not only meticulously cleaned up after himself, but he also willingly got rid of some mouse nests that were up in the ceiling area. (Guess that's another issue for which I'll have to consult Angie's List! :-)) I am happy with Dave's work, and his price was fair. I am even more pleased with his prompt response--he picked up on my first ring and told me he makes a point to answer his phone. I would recommend him to anyone needing help with a handyman issue that they can't personally tackle. I will definitely call him in the future should the need arise.

When I talked to D and K Handyman Service LLC on the phone, he came right away the next day. He said he liked the quote and start that day. That's not the way I usually operate. I push myself to at least sleep at it overnight because I don't like to feel pressured. He said he understood it. When he came on the morning, he gave the quote but he couldn't stay because something else came up. It was fine but then there's the next week and the week after. I called him back and told him I did want him to do it. I didn't hear from him. When I called again, he said he was really booked up and I'd better find somebody else. I felt I was left in the bind. Before the painting of the room can be done, what he was going to do should be done. I've got furniture in the warehouse waiting to go on this room and it's all going to have to wait for three months. I had to start over and find someone to do the work. I'm not really happy. His quote was reasonable.

They were good and they did nice work. Their prices were fair and reasonable. I was happy with their work. The staff was very nice.

I was totally satisfied with the quality of their work and will certainly use them again in the future, and would recommend them to others.

I called Dave and ddescibed the problem. He happened to be in the area, and came to check it out within the hour. He said he could fix it that day! So, about 4 hours later,he was done. He was professional, cleaned up after his work,, and my stairs are fixed and they're safe! I plan on calling him again for future fix-it jobs around my house.

Dave came to the house to review the work required. He was early and took his time to know what had to be done. When he returned the next day to do the work, he called to say he would be a little late. Contractors don't normally do that. It was appreciated.

D and K did a great job--I had several jobs around the house and D and K did them all very well. I'm very satisfied and plan to call on them again in the future.

I could not believe the quickness of the response from Dave and his apprentice Jake. I called on Thursday evening, they showed up the next morning to view the job and give an estimate. Dave asked if we would like to have the work done the following day. His price was extremely reasonable. He was very careful since the walls were freshly painted. The job took longer than was planned because of his being so careful. I asked if he wanted additional compensation, but he stated he always stays with his original quote. Sunday night I found a piece of wall that had been damaged with the brad gun. I called Dave and he was there the next morning to repair the wall. I have already asked Dave to do additional work.

His co workers were excellent and friendly. Came back and redid anything I was not happy with.

I called DK and he said he would be out that same day to give me an estimate. The estimate was reasonable so we set a date. They were on time, did a great job, were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. I have had no problems with the work and am quite pleased.

I called Dave on a Sat. morning to see if he'd be willing to do a few odd jobs around the house for us, including fixing a couple leaks and replacing some electrical sockets. Despite a busy schedule, he came out the same day to look at everything and give us an estimate. Dave explained all the issues clearly and professionally, along with any parts he'd need to purchase. We decided to go ahead and have him do everything, and he came by the following morning to do the work. He arrived exactly when he said he would, did all the work efficiently, and everything worked great the first time. We couldn't be happier!

My wife and I were very pleased with Dave. He did great work, his prices were reasonable, he communicated issues clearly and his prices upfront, and he returned our calls promptly. If he got into a repair issue that was outside of his capabilities, he called in other professionals to assist him instead of trying to take it on himself - very responsible and professional. He also saved us some money by advising us that a repair that I had also asked him to do was unnecessary. We will use Dave again in the future.

Dand K did a great job fixing some small projects around the house. Dave returned calls promptly, did the work that week and was professional. He did a great job on the bathroom cabinet - creating a built in cabinet that blended the old house with the new bathroom. We love it! I plan on using Dand K for other household projects.

Dave did an estimate for us, but another contractor was available instantly so we had him do the work.

D and K Handyman Services were great. The 2 guys did all the work in about an hour and a half. We want to put in a tile back splash so they measured for and they suggested a place I could go. They also said they could install it. They were very helpful and at the last minute they did a couple extra things as I asked a couple questions.
