Description of Work: They were supposed to fix my dryer, which was making squeaking noises. He returned with a part and assured me that I would have no further problems. The dryer worked for 2 days and when I called him to come back out, he never returned my calls.

Description of Work: fixed one problem but not another. never returned a follow up phone call for another part that was requested.

Description of Work: The entire experience, starting with the $75 diagnostic was not good. When the repair team arrived, they came unequipped to do a comprehensive diagnostic on my appliance but were quick to point out their fee was nonrefundable, and did not include any T&M related to future work. The total spent to this point is $253 to resolve an issue. It took two visits and lots of my time to get the issue resolved -- they hastily left the first time & my unit continued making loud noises which they suggested I attempt to resolve myself, since once again they came to a service call without all the needed tools. | |They ultimately solved the noise issue caused by icing but I've received no reply to three messages about my now broken ice dispenser mechanism, which is integrated into the part they replaced. | |For a family business, this is very disappointing service. I strongly advise against the use of Nick's Service and I'm shocked that they are associated with Angie's List.

Description of Work: repaired refrigerator that was not keeping things cold

Description of Work: The feed mechanism on the refrigerator ice maker was defective, required two new parts which had to be ordered. He came back the next day and replace the parts and it appeared every thing was okay. But everytime we used the ice delivery system it came out cubes and crushed ice. It turns out duritng the repair some of the ice stuck together and to feel the ice the machine had to crush tehe ice chunks in order to feed them. I removed the big chunks and everything was fine. i had called Nick's to report the problem and was able to let them know it had been fixed so no return trip was required. |

Description of Work: Courteous, professional in reasonably priced. Found problem with Dryer within 20 minutes and even offered extra services while he was here. Will definitely use again!

Description of Work: I had a smaller freezer that did not seem to get cold enough for a while after a power outage. I did not trust it anymore. Had Nicks check it out before storing meat in it again. They checked the temp and it was ok. showed my some areas where these cheaper freezers go bad. They were prompt and courteous and professional didn't try to sell any uneccesary parts.

Description of Work: Looked at video and description of issue with my washer... Then gave me his honest opinion. This opinion seemed to be in line with other information I found on the Internet. I opted to replace washer, and not have them come out to diagnose as it seemed to be the cheaper of the options in the long run.
