Description of Work: Burt's dealt with a total failure of our heating and plumbing caused by frozen pipes. I can't say enough good things about their service. They were prompt, responsive to questions, and worked to solve very difficult problems.

Description of Work: I've hired Burt's reliable several times, and have always been satisfied. Here are some of the things they've done for me: - Installed central A/C in my house - Replaced my well pump - Replaced my water tank

Description of Work: We use Burt's for our heating oil and service contracts for the system, which includes system checks and fixes and they've always shown up soon after a call. When a problem has persisted they've helped resolve it quickly and without additional charges. We renew with them every year.

Description of Work: We have used Burts for years as our oil supplier. We developed a leak in the upstairs bathroom from the jetted tub. Made an appointment and the service man came and found the problem. Needed a part. Made another appointment to return which he did and repaired the problem and patched the ceiling in the room below. All on time and professionally done.

Description of Work: We have an a/c service contract with Burts Reliable for our central a/c, which they had installed in 2003 in our summer house in Mattituck, NY. Once a year we have them service our unit (April) and they are thorough, pleasant, and willing to go up into our attic which is where most of the equipment is. We had a recent problem with humidity levels being high and called them in, setting up an appt. for 6/29. When I first called in with the problem they were willing to send someone that day, which was nice, but 6/29 worked out to be a better date for us. The tech. (Matt) was very courteous and knowledgable and seemed to know what the problem was right away once he examined our equip. in the attic. We had an older type trap on our evaporator unit which may have filled up with debris over the years and not allowed all the water to flow through easily hereby decreasing the humidity being taken out of the air. He showed us what the new trap looked like, explained the approx. cost of $40 and that the new one could be cleaned out every year when our unit is serviced. The older trap couldn't be opened for servicing. He also did a thorough check of our unit and checked the air flow and temp. coming from our vents in each room. He also made suggestions on how our unit might function more efficiently. He even offered to take our ladder and put it back where it belonged...we had to set up the ladder for him to get to the attic, we appreciated his offer but did it ourselves.Assuming when we receive the bill it's in the $40 range as stated, this was a very good experience.

Description of Work: We have used Burt's for 11 years for oil purchases, heating/ac installation, and plumbing repairs and bath remodeling. They have installed heating systems in 3 different houses, both in personal and investment homes, performed bathroom renovations in 9 different bathrooms, and we plan to use them for all such work again in the future if the need arises. They have always been prompt and professional and fair in their estimates. The recent visit was for repair of sink drain. I am a little disappointed that they recently raised their labor rate a bit, but that's life, and I am guessing they are in line with other area vendors as far as price goes...but I'm not going out shopping for a new plumber just to save $20 on a one hour plumbing repair. I'm very satisfied and sticking with a terrific vendor.

Description of Work: I HAD BURTS RELIABLE HERE AT MY HOME NOT TO LONG AGO TO DO A CHECK UP ON MY FURNACE. AS THEY DID THE WORK THEY SAID IT DID NEED A NEW BURNER.
