We called North Sea after a toilet backed up. Two men arrived within the window of time promised. They first power snaked the pipe but that did not clear the blockage. They had to open the pipe in the basement to remove a large amount of paper. A messy job but they did it as neatly as I could expect. Everything was completed satisfactorily. The issue I have is with their billing. We had to give them a credit card number when we scheduled the service call and were told it would be a minimum of $120 for the service call. When the men left I saw that their work order showed a TA (time arrived?) at 1:30 and 3:00 finish, which was correct, but 2 1/2 hours of labor. I immediately called the office to question this and was assured that the trucks were monitored by GPS and that I would only be charged for the time they were here. When I received their bill it simply showed a $288 labor charge to my credit card with no breakdown or explanation. I called the office to ask for clarification 3 times and was told that I would be called back by the billing department. Never happened. I sent a letter to them over a week ago and again have not had a response. I would like to know how the math works out-am I being charged for 2.5 hours or does an hour and a half cost $288?

North Sea Plumbing was very responsive. Nnot only did they schedule an appointment and keep it, they were accommodating in scheduling it as soon as possible due to the emergency nature of my situation. They were on time, professional, expert and left my home in perfect condition. The office staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Their price (material and labor) was as good as, if not better than, the big box stores (Home Depot and Lowes). I would highly recommend them to anyone with a plumbing and/or heating problem. Am very happy to give them this review.
Description of Work: Replacement of an electric hot water heater, and removal of the old unit. No hot water in our home, and they were "johnny on the spot" to replace the old unit.
