Highly recommended...Mike G. is second to none!! Had my home evaluated for energy efficiency. My attic had to be insulated as too my basement, in addition to a window replacement plus some venting. Mike was great in helping me via some state and local programs in getting incentive$. Work was done quickly and very much to my liking. Look forward to the savings on my heating/electric bills.

WE HAD GOTTEN A COUPLE OF ESTIMATES AND MIKE WAS THE ONLY ONE TO COME INTO THE HOUSE AND SIT DOWN FOR AN EXTENDED LENGTH OF TIME AND EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO US AND MADE SURE WE UNDERSTOOD THE SCOPE OF THE JOB. THE CREW WAS OUTSTANDING THEY KNEW WITHOUT BEING TOLD WHAT HAD TO BE DONE THEY MADE SURE THE JOB WAS PERFECT RIGHT DOWN TO THE CLEAN-UP. MIKE CAME TO THE PROJECT MADE SURE I WAS SATISFIED AND THE JOB WAS CORRECTLY BEING DONE. MIKE WAS IN CONSTANT CONTACT WITH ME. AFTER THE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED MIKE CAME TO MY HOME AND MIKE SPOTTED SOMETHING I NEVER SAW THAT HE DIDN'T LIKE AND HAD HIS CREW COME BACK AND FIX IT. I DIDN'T THINK IS WAS A BIG DEAL BUT MIKE WOULD NOT HEAR OF IT. AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED MIKE GERVASI "WENT THE EXTRA MILE" TO EARN MY RESPECT AND THE JOB. THANK YOU MIKE

It was a very valuable service from a knowledgeable pro. Mike knew not only how to.do the evaluation but also helped guide me through the process of following through to have my home well-insulated. Since I had been unfamiliar with the process and anxious about home improvements in general, his help was invaluable.

It didn't go too well. They came and had an initial meeting with the owner years ago and basically through emails, he wanted me to submit stuff which is his job to get an assessment from a non-profit organization in New York state to review the facts of the electricity and how much to use. He didn't take the information, followup and do it himself. I thought it was ridiculous. I have never gotten a comprehensive assessment of my home. I didn't get anything. I'm really not happy with that company. There was no followup. He sent me email what he should doing and submitting things to get an assessment. I didn't get anything. I paid money and I didn't get a service. The guy came when he said he was but he never came back.

It was not great. They advertised that they were going to do a home scan to see what was happening in terms of venting but they didn't really do that. They just tried to get me to do different types of projects so I was not happy with that. Their advertising has this whole high tech thing and it's this machine that they use. He came and said it wouldn't work today and gave me an estimate that was really high. I wasn't really happy with the service at all.

The service turned out pretty good. I was pretty happy with that. I did do a couple of things that I could do myself, but I couldn't use him now because of my budget. They were very good, and worth the $59 that I had paid. He was professional.

Everything went great. They were on time and very professional.

The president of the company, Mike Gervasi, came out himself to do the energy audit. He let me watch everything he did and he explained all of it. When I decided to go ahead with the insulation upgrade he listed everything that could be done and let me know which things were important and which were optional. He helped me get money from NYSERDA to help with the costs. On the actual day of installation Mike was around several times to make sure his crew knew exactly what to do. His crew was very considerate, clean, and knowledgable. They kept me informed as to their progress throughout the day and showed me exactly what they were doing. After the upgrade Mike came back to retest my home. The test showed just how much a little insulation in the right places can improve a home. It's been over 6 months since the upgrade and over the summer my house has been noticeably cooler and dryer. I'm looking forward to being comfortable this winter as well as using less fuel.

They did an excellent job of siding and installing basement windows. I would return to them in the future if the pricing was better.

Mike Gervasi is a gentleman, a professional, and a very good communicator. His crew did an excellent job - they were always on time, responsive to my questions and concerns, and paid attention to detail. Every step of the way I felt I was in good hands with Mike and his crew. They are a cut above the rest and I would not hesitate to recommend Egg Energy Systems to others. As with every job, things come up. In this case, my concerns were about trim materials being used that were not up to my standards, and insisting on no seams in the siding, or at least as few seams as possible, which requires longer siding pieces (at an extra cost) and care on the installer's part. Mike was always responsive to my concerns. He will bend over backwards to make sure that the work and finished product is to the homeowner's satisfaction. And it must be said that my concerns were never about the quality of the installation, which was expert, nor about a worry that Mike would not work hard to honor my requests. The foreman, Santos, knows his stuff and was detail oriented, which was a relief. His crew also finished an expert job ahead of schedule. They left my home spotless at the end of each work day, and at the completion of the job. As always, it's best for the homeowner to be as educated as possible about products; and as I have learned on this project, there are many options for siding and especially for trim. Mike spends a lot of time talking through all of those details. The more you as a consumer know, the more he will be able to help you get what you want. Mike and his crew will do whatever is needed to get it right, even if it means redoing something. That is rare. All things considered, don't waste too much time talking to other contractors: just hire Mike Gervasi and you won't be disappointed.

Provider was in contact immediately, but then I found out that where I live I get an Energy Assessment free, so I am asking for a refund.

Work was started right when Mike said it would be, the men were there everyday until job was finished they were neat, cleaned up after they were done each day, Mike was there everyday to make sure we were pleased with the work. He really cares about his customers and goes above and beyond, we got 4 estimates and we felt that Mike was the best and very honest with his prices and did exactly what he said he was going to do. We would highly recommend him highly.

They didn't test too much. It wasn't what I expected.

Having just had mold remediation for my crawl space I was looking for spray foam insulation. I knew what I wanted and Mike honed in on specific need but gave me some advice, thoughts and other considerations about this job and other things I was considering (like A/C). He was extremely punctual, professional and highly personable and easy to talk to. His estimate was reasonable and appropriate. We agreed on the specifics of the installation - a minimum 2 inch coverage in between the beam and a minimum of 1/4 inch on the beams. He and his associates were considerate and flexible on scheduling due to the possibility of water possibly being in the crawl after a heavy rain. The installation was performed. Several days later I looked over the job. Now here is where you sometimes get to see a professional shine. I felt that the depth of foam we agreed on was not adequately applied. I talked to Mike on this matter and he immediately agreed that he and the supervisor of the installation team would come over to check on the matter. He called me immediately after the inspection and stated he and the supervisor agreed it was not to our specifications and that they would remedy the situation immediately and to my total satisfaction. Again, his team was highly flexible and indeed had to reschedule once due to water in the crawl. Due to the installation problem the supervisor stayed on site with the team and directed the workers on the requirements to resolve the foam coverage. The job was completed. He followed up with me after the job and I can say I am extremely happy with the results. Nobody likes having to have things worked on again but having a problem resolved with the concern, quickness, willingness and in the manner as it was in this case - Mike represented his professionalism, reliability and ability in getting the job done and done right. I can tell you Mike is A-1 in my review and I would highly recommend Mike on ANY job.

It took awhile to complete this job to my satisfaction but the final leg was completed last week (Friday, June 6, 2014) by a thoroughly professional and efficient team dispatched by Egg Energy Systems to remove the last of the old insulation. I must say that when Egg Energy Systems says "We are not done with a job until the customer is satisfied", they really mean it. Michael Gervasi is true to his word and I appreciate that very much. We definitely felt the improvements in comfort levels this past winter (a brutal one at best) because of the work performed by Egg Energy Systems on this 100+ year old house. I got a lot more mileage out of the wood stove than any time in the past likely due to the effect the insulation had on the retention of heat. In years past the further you got from the wood stove the colder the the area would be. This past winter the heat dissapation was noticeably diminished. My overall rating would be an A- of B+ but there are no radio buttons of those values so I gave it a B.

They were excellent. They were quick, cleaned everything up when it was done and I had no problem. They did a wonderful job for the installation. It was basically the attic and they insulated that very well for me. They were very good and they were sufficient. I found them on Angie's List. They were definitely worth it. They were the most cheapest one out of all the work that was being done. They go by square footage for what they do and they were the cheapest out of the other two that I had in my home for appraisal and estimate. They were on time, and they call if they were a little late.

The biggest problem was matching the color of the siding. He was able to not only match the color perfectly due to his extensive contacts, but he replaced it in less than one hour. The service was professional, courteous and quality. I was impressed with the people working with him. They performed their task and cleaned up so quickly, I was unaware the project was done. Mike Gervais was professional yet personable. I highly recommend this company and if need be would use them again. Outstanding job.

went well -- was expecting a more scientific approach - they kind of just walked through the house and pointed out where there could be issues and suggested sealing/insulating those areas -- no blower door test or Infrared Camera analysis.

Mike Gervasi arrived on time and explained everything he was doing as part of the testing as we went along which included a full inspection of the inside and outside of the house, testing the efficiency of the boiler and water heater, and a blower door test. He spent about three hours with us giving us tips and recommendations. The audit was free as part of the NYSERDA program. Mike then provided us with a full report outlining the results of the energy audit and provided a scope of work to us for improvements we could make to increase the energy performance of our house. The report estimated the amount of PSEG LI and NYSERDA rebates. He also explained the various options we had for paying for and financing the improvements. We reviewed the scope with Mike and agreed on certain items that we wanted to move forward with. The work performed was adding insulation and air sealing our crawl space under the extension of the back of the house which included sealing areas where air was coming in and escaping. In the attic, Mike's team dense packed under the floorboards, boxed out 18 high hats, installed wind baffles and blew in 10" min. of cellulose insulation. The work also included adding a bath fan upstairs and installation of ventilation lines for the new and existing bath fans and the installation of a vent through the roof for the bath fans. The crews were polite, punctual and clean. After the work was complete, Mike came back and did some additional sealing in our garage and performed the blower door test to see how effective the improvements were. We were pleased with the results. We'd recommend Mike Gervasi to others for home energy audits and home energy improvements.

First and foremost the installer called the day before to confirm the appointment and showed up on time. Work began as soon as the installers were on site. There were no delays with setup and they cleaned up nicely after the job was completed. The boiler job took about 8 hrs to complete but the guys were very professional and neat, which means a lot to me because I have carpet in my home. The window and door took about 2/3 hours to complete. The guys came in, completed the job, cleaned up all materials and garbage upon completion. The crew was very friendly and explained everything in detail before, during and after the work. Another plus, if you call the company for any questions, you always get a call back the same day or a live person on the phone. If you are looking to do any renovations in your home this company comes highly recommended.

He was responsive. He's professional. He got back to me. And, he find out what I was going forward and stuff like that. Respectful. He showed up on time. He was communicative. He was ready to put the pitch. I would consider using him the future.
