Mr. Bleakley worked for well over an hour to try to ignite the pilot lite to no avail. He then requested that I call the company who had sold me the initial equipment; which I proceeded to do, Mr. Bleakley was generous with his time and his cost. I would highly recommend this Company to anyone in my area (Somers, NY). He is a gentleman, a professional, very knowledgeable and fair.

Arrived promptly. Made repairs and cleaned area after service. The company has remained in contact about repair and hot water supply to the home. This company has also made other plumbing repairs in my home. I continue to use them for all plumbing problems in my home.

It went well. All the work was done on time, without any problems. I bought shower hardware & Bleakley plumbing installed it & also disconnected / reconnected an old sink I wanted to keep. Bleakley worked with my contractor very well. I'm happy with the outcome and had a great experience.

Many years ago I had a plumber I loved who did an excellent job, but he unfortunately retired and moved to Florida. Ever since then I have been looking for a new plumber who is competent and reliable. I have gone through plumber after plumber after plumber in a futile search for a decent one, to no avail. In fact one plumber was so outrageously bad that I wrote a scathing review on Angie's list - something I have never done before. In desperation I called my excellent electrician who referred me to Bleakley Plumbing, & I am very grateful for his referral. They are prompt, courteous, pleasant to deal with, return phone calls, show up when they say they are coming - and best of all, they are competent! Let me explain: I had a new sink installed by the previous plumber but it kept overfilling & wouldn't drain properly. I thought the drain needed to be snaked, but when John from Bleakley Plumbing saw it, he said the pipes were incorrectly installed. He repaired them & voila - the water drains perfectly with no need to snake the pipes! The brand-new shower head (installed by previous plumber) had completely stopped running water. Previous plumber scratched his head. John found that the problem was clogged pipes from sediment. He installed a sediment filter, blew out the pipes in the shower and voila - shower head works great! The "rotten eggs" odor was overwhelming. The previous plumber drained the hot water tank. Hideous odor was still there. He told me to call the water well guy who told me to shock the well. I poured 2 bottles of clorox down there, no change. Then I got stronger pool chlorine & poured that in the well, no change. The previous plumber wanted an elaborate & expensive water test & then suggested changing out the hot water heater. He said he's get back to me with prices. That was 3 months ago. Have you heard from him? Because I haven't.... Fortunately I called Bleakley Plumbing at that point. John added chlorine to the sediment filter, ran it through the system, and voila, no more odor. I wish I had known about Bleakley Plumbing before spending all that time and $ on incompetent plumbers. The stress alone was a killer. I am so happy to FINALLY have found a plumber that I can count on!!

Contractor was easy to work with and responsive to my scheduling needs and requests for changes to the scope of work. Plumbers working on site were knowledgeable, pleaseant, and respectful.

I take care of my 94 yr old Uncle but I live in Oregon. So, I needed someone who could get the permits, give me an estimate, do the job and could be trusted in his home. I hit a home run with Blakley. They put me to ease that it could be done and did the job. I would recommend them to anyone. It is not the first time that I have used them. Two winters ago, the basement flooded. They put in the drainage and sump pump for me.

Bleakley is amazing. Just recently bought a house in the Hudson Valley area and have had them by twice. Friendly, punctual and most importantly top notch servicing. Glad that I found my go to plumber!

John arrived on time, gave us regular updates as the work progressed and finished the job in less than six hours. There were no glitches and no surprises and the total cost agreed with the estimate we were given. While he was working, John also noticed that the well cap was no longer in compliance with current standards so he returned the following week and installed a new cap for our well, which we would have needed when we put our house on the market. We are happy and impressed with this attention to detail as well as the friendly, honest and totally professional service that Bleakley provides.

He agreed to come on an emergency basis because we had to turn off all water until it could be fixed. He was there first thing and fixed it quickly allowing us to get on with our day. Russell is very pleasant and explains everything. Russell also replaced a bathroom sink and fixed broken pipes and installed a new toilet. It all went smoothly.

It went well; water is running with better pressure than we had previously. Russell and his team were very responsive to our needs and helped us as much as possible.

As always with Russell Bleakley, it went perfectly. John always shows up on time, does a thorough job and cleans up when finished. Everyone associated with Bleakley Plumbing is always friendly, polite and professional.

Russell and his guys are very professional and they take extremely care to the house. They would put on shoe covers and protections on things they carry inside the house, and make sure the working area is clean afterwards. Rachelle is very timely in commutation and answered all my questions in patience.

Our water softener stopped functioning properly after 12+ years of use. After a search on Angie's List we contacted Bleakley Plumbing. Firstly, very friendly and responsive phone communications from Rachelle at the office. She promptly sent Jon the technician to assess our softener system. Jon is extremely knowledgable (also very friendly) and after some tweaking and testing we came to the conclusion that this was not a repair job and that the system would be replaced. The price was spot-on, so we made a deposit, Bleakley ordered the system and within a week Jon returned, performed a beautiful installation. We now have a perfectly running water softener system. This is no small feat given that our well produces enough iron to build a locomotive with. We could not recommend Bleakley more highly: FIVE STARS.

A year ago but I just remember price was very high. Now that I have done additional plumbing I realize this was not market pricing.

They did a good job. They were fast and did a very professional installation.

We were concerned since there a slight leak in the outdoor spigots and didn't want it to freeze the indoor pipes - called Russells and the dispatcher was very responsive, friendly, and got back to me promptly. John the plumber came out to take a look, gave me an estimate right then and there and proceeded with the work. Everything we needed to have done was effectively finished and gave us peace of mind. Would use again.

The job went very well. The plumber was very conscientious. He had trouble removing the sand filter cartridge due to mineral build-up and didn't want to risk breaking it without having an immediate replacement so he said he would have to come back another time. I thought I would have to call the office to make an appointment but he called back the next morning from the plumbing supply warehouse and asked if he could come that morning. He did end up having to cut off the old unit and replace it with the one he'd just picked up. He did not charge for that visit, just for the new unit and labor which seemed fair. The price seemed expensive but it is probably average for this area. Also, when I wanted to make the initial appointment, I got the answering machine and as I recall, it seemed to take a few hours for a call back. It seemed longer than I would have expected for the person making appointments to be unavailable.

I called them when I had an emergency going on. I chose them to call since they state they are a 24/7 emergency plumbing company. It was a waste of my time. Thinking they would call me right back. I never received a call back at all. Not reliable!

We had previously hired another plumber to clear the drain, and they managed to clear it for a week before it became clogged again. We then hired this company and the plumber took the time to figure out what was wrong with the drain (clog far down the line) and explain the options/challenges/etc. He went down to the cellar to examine pipes down there to see why the clog wouldn't budge (other plumber did not do that). He was able to unclog the tub and it has been working perfectly since. Price was great (compared to what others charge to unclog a drain).

Jon was professional, courteous, and well spoken. I was thrilled he put on protective foot wear every time he entered the house so as not to track in snow.

The pipe was in a closed wall with difficult access. John was very careful to do as little damage to the surrounding areas as possible. Because he couldn't access the joint easily without taking down both sides of the wall, he improvised a way to break the joint and remove the pipe from only one side. Though harder for him, the process will allow me to patch only one side of the wall instead of both, and I won't have to repair and replace kitchen tiling, a cabinet and the central run of wiring. I'm making it seem simpler than it was! I am very grateful for his determination to do the repair correctly, but with the least disruption. Because he only accessed the pipe in one spot, he didn't need to break into the floor in the upstairs bathroom, nor did he have to open up the basement. The original estimate of $2000-3000 would have covered all of that work, but in the end, the repair only came to $900. The initial estimate was scheduled within a day and the repair was completed within the week. The place was spotless when he left. I can't imagine a better situation or treatment. Highly recommended!

They were nice on the phone but my area was out of their service area.

It went well. He came when he said he would and did the job. He left things neat and I haven’t had any problems since then.

They were punctual, reliable, did a decent job. I was surprised that the service call of $89 was added in addition to the installation fee which made them expensive in my opinion. $310 to put in a kitchen faucet.

So nice to find a good, reliable, competent plumber..Cheerful to boot! Would absolutely recommend and use again.
