Suburban Exterminating

I’m writing this review about John Gumbus, a supervisor in the termite division of Suburban Exterminating because it’s important for Suburban customers and future customers to know what a truly dedicated, conscientious and knowledgeable professional he is. About a week ago I was having a bathroom painted when the painter showed me a large opening that he made in the wall because it felt damp. He said we had termites in the wood that was exposed. It was late in the day and after business hours so I contacted the area supervisor for pest control, Bill Zecca and asked if he new anyone who could help me at this hour. He gave me John’s contact information. I called John and told him I got to him from Bill. He said he was on vacation and before I could apologize for disturbing him he asked me to give him details of why I believed I had termites. He asked me a few questions and then explained why he didn’t think I had them. He then said to send him pictures to his Suburban email. He said he was out with his wife and would be home late, but he would call me. He called later that evening and said he had good news that we didn’t have termites, it was mold. He then went into a detailed explanation of how termites present themselves. He told me what the painter should do regarding the mold. He then said he had reviewed my account and said I should take advantage of the yearly termite inspection I’m entitled to as a Suburban customer. I took his advice and had Cesar, one of their experienced inspectors, do the inspection of my entire home. It was good news again, no termites. I have to reiterate, John Gumbus did all of this on his vacation and I truly appreciate his work ethic where he helped me, a Suburban customer that he did not personally know. Thank you, John.

Terrible Called another company that did an excellent job

The company was very responsive to our request for a quote. We met with a wonderful salesman who explained all of our options. The initial procedure was provided by a very helpful and knowledgeable young man. We noticed a big difference in the reduction of the cave crickets. We contacted the company again, after seeing several more, and they responded immediately. We had a second procedure recently and things are looking good. I was happy with the service, and the response of the office as well as the young men who came to the house. They stood by their contract and guarantee.

All went well. They explained the whole process and no surprises. They went above and beyond to ensure all was resolved.

Job was done well and promptly. I contacted the company at six pm and the technician arrived within an hour. No further problems with the bees.

Nancy was our sales lady & Jacob N. was the technician that came by. She was extremely helpful in her diagnosis (and actually even helped us clean up some ants before she left). Jacob N. was extremely thorough, took his time & explained everything very clearly to me. He said if we weren't able to completely remove/eliminate our problems on the first go-around, they would come back out as many times as necessary (my wife is pregnant & they can't use the strongest stuff). Professional, interactive, friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Can't ask for anything more! Highly recommend.

Mike Silberstein was professional and very knowledgeable. My housewstcher thought that I had termites due to seemingly circular mud by my window. But Mr. Silverstein knew immediately that was not the case and explained to me why. (Part of the mud was thick and not circular) What I had was a mud wasp nest. Nevertheless Mr. Silverstein checked my entire house for termites. He allayed my concerns and I am thankful that he took the time to reassure me. Thank you, Mr. Silberstein.

The inspector was very professional and explained things very well. The technician who performed the treatment and installed the Sentricon system was also very professional and efficient.

It took s number of times coming back but they finally exterminated them. Unfortunately now there is an odor in my house. The weather is cold now so the smell is gone but if it comes back in the spring I may have to have the wall opened up.

Exterminators all appeared to be professional and thorough.

Technician came on time and was very professional.

They started in mid June and I still have rodents. They are very good. They are very punctual and very helpful but the rodents are not going away. They are okay. I was promised that they would get rid of the rodents in two months and they are still here so they had to extend it for free. Whatever they are using, it really is not that effective. The rodents are outside. It's chipmunks and moles. They are not doing anything inside the house. Somehow the guy stopped coming. There was a mix up with their scheduling. They started sending me some random people. At one point, a guy came in and wanted to remove all of the traps prior to the contract expiration of the 2 months. If I hadn't met him, he would have taken all the traps. I told him no. They kept sending random people. He is going to come back next week for the final assessment. I saw a chipmunk this morning in the backyard. I know I live in the woods, but it's a little disconcerting. I haven't compared the price to anyone else. I went to Angie's List and they were the top rated company. It's a little expensive but I'd rather pay that than the landscaper who had to redo my lawn completely. If they finish with the chipmunks by the end of the season, maybe I will use them again.

Good--seems to have been cleared up, and we have service for a year, so if we something again, we can just call. Responsiveness wasn't always perfect; there were a couple of times when the technician would leave me with the impression that a follow-up would be at a particular time, then no one would come, and a phone call to customer service would reveal the appointment was at a different time. Hold times with customer service could also be very long. Everyone was really helpful when I would encounter these problems, so it wasn't anyone in particular, but the system seems like it could be streamlined.

Very well, THIS time. NOT consistent!

The rat issue has been almost completely taken care of through rat traps and use of baits to neutralize the rat population. The service also includes bugs as well and there has been a noticeable decrease in certain bug populations/activity.

Everything seems to be okay now. They came every day they were supposed to more or less with the time frame. It went pretty well.

I didn't have a problem. Two people came out immediately and took care of anything. They asked me if I had any questions and let me know to call them if I had any other issues.

Went great! Anthony the tech came exactly on time. He treated everything, and we'll see how it goes! In the past, I have only had the best experiences with Suburban.

Salesman Kevin came checked the house and gave me the cost. Abslutely no pressure. Called when I decided to go ahead and made appointment. Technician arrived on time, explained what they would be doing, gave me time frame and called me when completed. Very Professional. Would reccommend.

Suburban was honest and told me the tubes belonged to some kind of bee. They easily could have hooked me into one of their termite contracts that I didn't need. I did renew my carpenter ant contract with them even though they seem to have completely eliminated that problem at my house a couple of years ago. These guys are top notch.

Very pleased with results. They went above and beyond!!
