John responded quickly, arrived on time, accurately diagnosed the problem, executed the repair, and made needed adjustments. My garage door opener had failed (stripped drive gear). I called John in the morning, and he arrived in the afternoon. He replaced the gear and also lubricated the wheels in the garage door track - it no longer squeaks! As good as new. His price - labor and materials - was very reasonable.

They were in the area and arrived within five minutes, fixed the problem quickly, and explained everything to me. Work was done quickly and efficiently. I have never had such positive service!

John from Capital Overhead Doors came within an hour of us contacting him. While repairing, he explained to us what the issues were. Additionally, he instructed us how to maintain the garage door properly. We are satisfied with the service and will contact the businsess again if needed.

Excellent , prompt pleasant and professional .. i watched ...he educated me ...showing me what had worn out , he then replaced it always explaining what had happenedand what he was doing , he then reset all the variable parameters and oiled all the rollers on both set of doors , and aided me in instaling a new code

Called that morning and pulleys replaced by early afternoon. Didn't even have to be there - let himself in garage and left invoice afterward.

Both springs and cables were replaced in less than 30 minutes. The old springs were taken away, no mess. I called to inquire about the repair at 3:00 and luckily he was available and by 4:00 he was driving away.

John came promptly to give an estimate of my job. He provided plenty of information about the door choices and the process. His price was very reasonable. When installation day came, he arrived on time, did a wonderful job and cleaned up thoroughly after he finished. I'm very happy with the door, the excellent service and highly recommend the company!

This s an excellent company. John has installed new garage doors and openers and conducted various repairs for us over the last several years. Every time we called, he was prompt, professional and courteous, and the work was always done right and without pressure to accept more expensive products or services we didn't need. I recommend him without reservation.

The issue started with the garage door thing morning. It made a crashing noise when it was put down and wouldn't go back up. I called Capital at around 8:15. John answered the phone and said that he would be in my area around mid day. He said he would call when he is about a half hour from my house to give me time to get home from work. He called around noon. I was home by 12:25 and he was waiting in my driveway. He was very nice and professional. The spring on the door broke which was causing the issue. He gave me an estimate on replacing both springs and had the job completed in 30 minutes.

John came out to fix a broken spring on one of my garage doors. Left a message and he returned the call promptly. We set up a time the next day. He actually was able to come earlier than we thought. Provided great advice on our other doors. No sales pitching. Fixed the door in less than 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

I have used this provider in the past, but I think it has been at least 5 years. When there was a squeaking noise, I looked at the springs and noticed 1 was not right. I called Capital and made an appointment for the 1-3pm time frame. John arrived about 1:15 and we talked about his prior visits. He agreed that the springs should be replaced. It was cold outside, so I went in. John did his work quickly and efficiently. The doors work fine now.

John arrived on time. Was friendly. Diagnosed the problem quickly. Replaced two large springs, reset the door back into the track and lubricated all the wheels. The door has always been difficult to lift, it weighs about 300 lbs, Johns new springs made it much easier. I thought the price was reasonable.

He cleaned up after himself and took time to suggest ways I might better care for the door in the future. He replaced both springs and cables and lubricated everything. They are very professional and on time. Cleaned up his mess very well. They worked fine.

They showed up about an hour or so later than promised. In addition the they turned out to be one man. He did a complete removal of both doors and tracks. Installed all new tracks and doors. Did a very good job cleaning up and removal if old door parts. Took longer than I expected, but since it was only one guy I guess he did ok. I believe the owner was expediting my install because the old door would not close, so I think that is why only a single installer came. All in all I think they did a great job, and they showed up the day they said they would. I would definitely recommend them as I believe they did a good job at a fair price. Note: I called on a Monday and got the door installed that Wednesday.

Contacted Capital Overhead Doors concerning a tearing to the door caused by the curved door arm tension. John responded within a day at the time stated and was able to repair the door by adding a brace for additional support. He also lubricated all the parts. The door is 17 years old and I will certainly call him when the time comes to replace it. When I mentioned that I would like to have keypad entry when I replace the door, John said he could install one right away. I had previously gone to Sears, as it is a Craftsman opener, and inquired into purchasing a keypad and was told that would not be possible due to the age of the door. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that was not the case and am now able to have an additional means of entry to garage.

Arranged to have gear replacement installed while we were out of the house; provided them with access to the overhead garage unit. Came in did the replacement of the worm gear and made sure it was operating well. Was pleasant over the phone, knew exactly what needed to be done, explained all that he would do, and was great to do business with. Highly recommend dealing with a local company such as this one.

The price was exactly as the estimate was written. Two garage doors were installed on the date and time agreed upon. The work was completed professionally and the cleanup was complete as he removed the old doors and hardware.

I placed an "emergency" call on Saturday evening because the cable connecting one of my garage door springs broke and I could not get the door up to get my car out of the garage. I received a return call within one hour. We arranged for the repair to take place on Sunday morning (Mothers' Day) at 9 AM. Within less than 1/2 hour the job was finished. The work was fast, first-rate, and very reasonable. I highly recommend Capital Overhead Door!!

Nice guy. Knew what he was doing. However had to call him to remind him to send us an invoice so we could get a part from the manufacturer under warranty. He called and canceled the appointment for an estimate for the installation of a garage door in my daughter's house. He was going to reschedule however we have not heard from him since so no work was actually performed. However, we haven't called him back either, so we bear some responsibility here as well. We would still probably try to use him again since we have not had particularly good results with other garage door contractors including going through Lowes' contractors for garage doors (no call backs; Lowes continually losing record of transactions, etc.)
