And, that wisdom will be applied to ensure improvement to make your landscapes a focal point to your surrounding neighbors. Madrid staff counts with certified pesticide applicators. We take the necessary steps to comply with the requirements of New York state as well as local permits (Nassau and Suffolk County) and continuing education. We have built a reputation by working together with our clients hand by hand to achieve their goals. This has built a solid foundation that keeps Madrid expanding its services in all directions every day. Description of Work: Hired as lanscaper. The grass was well groomed but in large areas of the yard it was barren where it had grown previously. They frequently destroyed their own yellow signs which tossed small pieces of yellow paper around. Any time they were contacted it was as if I was bothering them. Also, our day was changed multiple times with no notice and if it rained they would not reschedule, they just wouldn't show up that week.

God bless you...thank you for contacting my company to help you with the improvement of your lawn.when I met you the first thing I saw was a major clean.up,specially the back and it needed a lot of good rich soil for grass to grow.we did put good dark soil new seeding,the back had a lot holes from the dog.But with the good soil and a blend of high quality seeds the grass got established,we use sod blend of seeds and in a year or so you can see the difference in the improvement.I am glad that now that we help during one season you can just maintain your lawn.I got never a call from customer complaining which means a lot to me but if any one calls we do the necessary improvement to get the lawn green and healthy.Our goal is to satisfy our customers when we communicate each get to the bottom of the situation.whether you need us for one season or longer we are always willing to work together.many blessings...!

They showed up on time and worked for about 3 hours.
Description of Work: They did a spring clean up which included fixing some bushes that were damaged by Sandy. They also put down a pre emergent for crabgrass and worked all the flower beds. Power raked the lawn as well. Great job!

I am so pleased with the work Madrid does. I was so unhappy for so many years with previous landscapers, but now that I have hired Madrid I couldn't be happier! They did my final fall clean up and it is the best one any company has ever done. The owner and the workers are all very nice and a pleasure to deal with. The day he came over to give me an estimate he noticed my gate wasn't closing properly so he fixed it for me and I hadn't even hired him yet!He is a very genuineperson and I am so glad I hired him. TRUST ME!

I was looking for a lawn mower for the front and back lawns in my house. I was referred to Angies list to find lawn mowers. I contacted a few lawn mowers in the list, and Madrid landscaping was among the first landscaping companies to contact me. I explained my lawn situation. My lawn was a mess with weeds, plants and trees untrimmed, growing into the walls of the house, windows etc. Adelmo from Madrid landscaping who met me to discuss the fixing of the lawn, completely understood my requirements, and charged me a reasonable price for the work. Adelmo looks like a trustworthy and honest person. Madrid Landscaping did my lawn, which included trimming of trees, plants, shrubs etc. Reseeding of soil for grass, removal of weeds, and regular lawn mowing. Removal of any plants etc., growing into the side of the house, by at least a feet. They also cut the plants around the oil tank, which were a nuisance to check the oil. I was expecting just normal change to the look of the house after the work was done from this landscaping. However, when I came back to look at the house after the work was done, I was completely amazed by their quality of work. The landscaping (with the power wash done by Precise painting contracting corp.) completely changed the look of my house. I will have to wait for a month or two to see the good grass back in my lawn, but I am already very pleased with their work, and would hire them again. I would also recommend them to others. An A+ for their work, and professionalism! I should say thank you to Angies list for giving me this avenue to find good contractors!!!

AWESOME! I have been unsatisfied with my lawn for the previous 5 plus years with OTHER companies. Madrid comes along (found via Angie's List) and treated my lawn for the first time on April 12, 2012. Two weeks later I saw an amazing turn around in my lawn. My lawn has not been this green and thick in years. Whatever Madrid is doing, I hope it continues. OTHER companies make you think you need at least a year to see improvement. I now know, since Madrid has been contracted, that is not always the case, if at all. My lawn looks so good at this very moment, I just had to write a review after only 4 weeks of service. Thank you Madrid.

Sixteen years ago we were given a recommendation for Madrid Landscaping by a neighbor. We have been pleased ever since the first time Madrid did our yard. Over the years our professional relationship has grown. Adelmo, the owner, would come to us with ideas about trimming and plantings. After 16 years of building trust and Madrid's work, Adelmo no longer needs to ask. If he thinks a bush here or a planting there would enhance our home he has our permission to do so. I said he no longer needs to ask, but he does anyway. I cannot sing the praises any higher than I already have about Adelmo and his crew at Madrid Landscaping. We have a longtime professional relationship and we expect it to continue for a long time to come.
Description of Work: We have used Madrid Landscaping for approximately years. I believe we are Madrid's first clients. Adelmo, the owner, has always been professional, on time, and has made our yard - in my opinion - the best on our block. Adelmo has continually attended classes in horticulture, landscaping, etc. in order to service his clients to the best of his ability. Madrid Landscaping has expanded from one truck and two men to several teams and still, Adelmo will call or come by to check on the work and ask if we are satisfied. That is rare in business today and it is one of many reasons we are pleased with the services and why Madrid Landscaping has grown. Services they have performed for us include lawn care (mowing, fertilizing, de-grubbing, edging, seeding), a Winter and Spring Clean Up and hedge trimming. We trust Adelmo and Madrid Landscaping with our home. We are very pleased with Madrid Landscaping and plan to use them as long as we live in the Northeast.

We are very happy with them. It was excellent. He is an extraordinary individual, really cares about his clients, is very consistent and dependable, the work is excellent, the prices are very reasonable, and the quality of his work is extraordinary.
Description of Work: Just an update to say that we are even MORE satisfied three years after I wrote the first review, Adelmo is one of the nicest people on Earth, and his work ethic is extraordinary. You can count on MADRID LANDSCAPING to do what they say they will do, when they say they'll do it. And they'll do it better than anyone else can at an extremely reasonable price.
