Arbor Art Tree Service

This provider came out and looked my tree and advised me that there was no work needed. I appreciated his honesty.

It went amazingly well.I marvel at their expertise. This limb was hollow, and was filled with water.The care and precision they used was excellent. Most of their work was done on my neighbor's property. They were very careful and exceptional at removing everything.

They were excellent and did a really fine job in a difficult situation. I'm really glad that I called them.

First of all, It took 3 weeks to get someone on the phone to set up a visit to my house to get an estimate. Someone finally came to give the estimate and it was based on a very detailed description of the trimming work to be done and on which trees. I said that my primary need was to get the entire circumference of each of the five trees narrowed as much as possible to create a lot more space between the trees. They had all grown together and/or too close to the house, street and power cables. I also said that I wanted the trees to be topped as well. I was out of town at the time when the job was supposedly finished. My caretaker informed me that it didn't look like anything was done. After my payment was made of over 700 dollars I assumed Arbor Art would come back and finish the job. When I arrived at the house on August 8th I couldn't believe my eyes! The trees were not trimmed at all from the outside, not narrowed In any way and were 40 percent bigger around the circumference than they were before I called Arbor Art!! The only thing that was done was the topping of the 5 trees. After calling Tim the owner immediately, it took him 3 days to finally call back. He said that it was not him that did the estimate at the house but an assistant. His next excuse was that their must not have been a complete estimate done on what the assistant understood the tree job description to be. A total miscommunication and lack of job management by Tim! I said that I wanted him to come back and finish the job. Tim said that it took him 4 hours to top the trees and that the money I paid would only cover that much work! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! He wouldn't even give me a break on a price to come and finish what I had already paid for in the first place. He said he would come over and give me an estimate to trim the trees. I said I would only be in town for 5 more days and he needed to come before then. Never heard from him. After 3 days I called to remind him no call until my last day in town. He said, "didn't my assistant call?" I said no, give me his number and I will call. I then left a message with his assistant and said I was leaving town and needed him to come today to do a new estimate. I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM EITHER! So I was left with paying full price for a job half done and nothing but a bunch of excuses and no follow up communication unless I would spend weeks of constant phone calls. I will never use Arbor Art Tree Service in Hurley, NY ever again and would never think of recommending them to anyone else. Stay away from them!!!

He came back with quotes that were much higher than other competitors were offering. He was not able to come to a reasonable price.

I have used them before and have always been very pleased with the job they do. The crew is very professional and courteous. They do an excellent job both cutting down the trees while making sure no harm comes to anything on the property, and in cleaning up afterwards. I find their prices reasonable. They come when they say, and stay until the job is done. I highly recommend them.

Entire staff very friendly and courteous. Worked through a terrible lighting rain storm. Did more than we talked about at the estimate and charged me the quoted price. How awesome is that.

Cut down tree and cut into lengths for firewood.

Tim of Arbor Art was professional from start to finish. He was very responsive and returned calls promptly. He got us an estimate and we scheduled the work easily via email. There was snow on the day the work was to begin and I didn't have a plower scheduled but Tim and his crew were willing to clear the driveway to keep us on schedule, which I very much appreciated. The trees (which were pretty tall) came down safely and they honored the coupon from Angie's List which helped keep the cost down. The work occurred over two days. I had a positive experience working with them and would not hesitate to use them again.

They were great. Tim Ryan and his crew arrived on time. Performed all work that was discussed. These guys worked right up to 5 pm. Everything was cleaned up and carted away. Would highly recommend Arbor Tree Service. Will use again in the future. H.K. Roem

They did a good job, followed through on what was promised, were pleasant to deal with, were knowledgeable, came when the said they would, responded promptly to inquiry, honored the Angie's list coupon, etc.

He was unable to come to my home because the distance was too far.

Tim was super polite and extremely professional , and showed up just as he promised...Firstly he priced the job. Then he came with his crew and equipment to do the job. He accepted a $200 coupon listed on Angie's list which was purchased for $99 and proceeded to harness the large tree and remove it carefully and in safe sections from my garage and carports. He himself did all the dangerous parts of the job, seeing that no additional damage was done to structures, and his crew finished by mulching all of the fell tree/branches, and sweeping every single leaf from the driveway and the area around garage/carports... The most difficult part of backing up in a narrow driveway his large truck w/lifting equipment , was done carefully and with respect to the existing structures which are old and frail... I was very pleased both by his professional integrity and his demeanor.... I would recommend his services w/o restrain... well done!!

I love them. They came the night, the next day they gave me an estimate and I got compared them for other Arbors they were the most reasonable. They came and they conquered a 150 foot tree and the other one was probably at least 100 foot tree. They cut them, they took everything away, and they were racking, they were just wonderful they finished in two days, these were humongous trees. They took everything away, I mean they had to bring in an extra truck just to get the tree out. I would use them again.

I got a return call within an hour, as well as a visit to do the estimate on the same day. They scheduled the work for the following week and arrived punctually. Work was done efficiently and carefully. Workers were very knowledgeable and the owner, who did a lot of the work, is a certified arborist. Each tree and shrub was reviewed with me to make sure I was satisfied along the way. Workers did not bring a radio which I appreciate. Although one worker smoked, he was considerate about it. The price felt a little steep but, in light of the high quality of professionalism, I would use them again.

I was very concerned because I had just put in a garden under this massive tree and now the tree had to come down and in the process woudl likely destroy the garden. He assured me that he could work around the garden and successfully did! I totally recommend this company!!

The owner, Tim is very knowledgeable and clearly loves trees and wants to do the right thing.My only complaint is that they were supposed to leave a pile of chips from some of the branch cutting and didn't do that. When I reminded them that they said they were going to do this, I was told that they would stop by during the week and leave some chips from another job. They never did. I realize that it was a really busy and hectic time for all of the tree folks as it was right after the storm, so I forgive that oversight.

Found service on angie's list. Impressed that the individual was a certified arborist. Made an appointment to survey the grounds and "trouble" spots. Was impressed with the knowledge base of the owner. Obtained an estimate. Seemed a little high, but knew we were also buying the services of a knowledgable profession. We had some work done, previously by an individual who butchered our trees. It was penny wise but a pound foolish. We arranged a service date which was met. The job was done quickly professionally and on time. The service provider cleaned up well. The stump grinding took a little longer, but we were told this in advanced. Since the job required rental of special equipment, the service provided said that it would be done when there were a sufficient number of jobs to justify the rental, which seemed reasonable to us. Half of the billed amount was due up front but the remainder was not due until the entire job was done, including the stump grinding. If we need more work to be done we will definite contact them again.

We had a large white pine tree very close to the south side of our small cabin. The tree had to be removed for a number of reasons, but most importantly it was too close to electric and telephone wires. With wind, snow and ice prevalent in the area, we worried that if a branch became over loaded with snow/ice, it could possibly fall on a wire and we would lose power. I called Arbor Art and Tim (the owner) traveled over 60 miles (round trip) to estimate the job. He and his crew then returned with their equipment (another 60 mile round trip) and completed the job for the estimated price. They were right on with their estimate and dependability. I wish I could find vendors in other areas of expertise as reliable and efficient as Arbor Art.
